Villa Ariadni

Loved the location and the room itself! We were in the wind room. However...the air conditioning wasn't working. They kept telling us it was fixed but it wasn't. It was so hot in the room that even with all the windows open we couldn't sleep. We complained again, and they stated again that it was fixed. Then it started leaking so bad that it flooded the kitchen. At this point, they replaced it, so we had one day with the air working. The shower head holder was broken, the seal on the shower doors was also faulty, so the bathroom flooded every time we took a shower, and the wood cover for one of the bathroom windows was missing, so anyone walking by could look into the bathroom and see you in there. We were very disappointed given the money we paid, and not once were we offered a refund or even an "I'm sorry". Unacceptable!

The window cover in the bathroom window was missing, so anytime someone walked by they could see you in the bathroom. Not once did they offer a refund or even an "I'm sorry". Unacceptable!!

Excellent property and location. Only issue was hot water heater kept on turning off. Rest was all very good.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, which is incredible. The views out the windows and from the balconies are breathtaking. It is right in the heart of Oia, so perfect for walking to restaurants, shops and down to Amoudi Bay. Mario was very helpful - reaching out ahead of time to help with arrangements for transportation to and from the hotel for us. Our main concern was the lack of shade in the outdoor spaces. There are two beautiful patio areas but we were only able to use them very early and very late because of the full sun exposure and heat. Most other hotels looked to have canopy coverings or patio umbrellas. Our only other observation would be that the beds are not particularly comfortable.

Cute little place on the heart of Oia. If you want to be in the heart of everything, with the famous sunset view right from your room at a VERY good price, then this is a great option. I will say, though you have to be prepared for a rigorous type of walking from here (up, down, left, right, all directions), so it's not for everyone. It is also VERY crowded in-season at Oia (particularly near this part of town, and particularly at sunset and in the morning when the cruises let people off in Fira to come to Oia, but everyone should already know this. Yiannis and Marios took very good care of us, they arranged for luggage carry and airport transfers at a VERY reasonable price. The apartment was very cute, clean, and functional with amazing views of course. Bravo Ariadni!!

We had an incredible stay at this amazing villa, with the best view offering breathtaking sunsets Santorini is known for. The location is perfect with easy to shops & restaurants. Marios was incredibly welcoming and responsive, from organising transfer to having our suitcases picked up (Def would rec that as there were quite a lot of steps from the closest drop off point). I would highly recommend this place to anyoen looking for a comfortable and convenient base withe exceptional view and hospitality.

Very good location and responses to questions on WhatsApp was very good. Some toiletries were missing but overall a very good stay at Santorini Greece. Coordinations with taxi drivers was a breeze and Mario was good at that. Both Airport pickup and Ferry dropoff was well coordinated and we did not face issues. Mario explained everything in detail including currency recommendations and this helped plan the Santorini trip well and we had an awesome time here.

Wonderful place. The location could not be better. They arranged for a very comfortable ride to bring us to and from the port at a reasonable rate. Gave us wonderful advice on how to spend our time. Easily helped us sort out our luggage storage. The boat cruise they recommended was absolutely amazing. We could walk everywhere in Oia. Highly recommend this place.

Great communication for our stay and the driver/property manager was great to arrange for our arrival at the airport , transportation and luggage delivery to our room which is absolutely necessary for Oia!

We had wonderful time there. Hotel is clean, comfortable, and has an amazing view. Marios our host was very helpful and nice. I would recommend this hotel 10/10.

Ariadni villa was an absolute gem. What a cute and authentic little cave house this place is! It had everything we needed including coffee and a coffee maker. Mario was very kind and very responsive. Albert was wonderful helping us transport our luggage. We loved the location, there are restaurants everywhere, and a mini mart 10 steps away. One of the best parts of Ariadni villa though, was the view. It was nothing short of breathtaking! It was fantastic gazing out over the rooftops and the Caldera. Just wow! I highly recommend staying here if you are going to Oia.

We were picked up from our drop off point, the service was really good. The room was spacious and clean, has ac, and even a pantry with windows able to enjoy the view. However, the floor of the toilet was a bit wet and caused bit of a smell. It was easily accessed to the main and busy areas of Oia. Overall, good experience.

Great place. Ardi was very kind and helpful. Only concern was refrigerator was not very clean.

2nd bedroom was smelling really bad. They claimed it was pant, but I highly doubt it. I have done lot of wall painting in my house. I know that smell. I had to remove the beddings and sleep on the floor in living room. I noticed that mattress was so dirty underneath the sheets. I don’t recommend staying here until they change all the mattresses and fix the smell.

There were also several large roaches that we had to kill, which made it stressful when you had to check the bathroom before the kids would use it, or the beds before heading off to sleep. However, when I reached out to Mario, he sent someone right away to apply a spray around the door and windows to prevent the bugs from coming in. Overall, the views from your outdoor space was amazing. You can’t quite see the sunset from that space, but you can see the colours change in the sky. Oia is beautiful, without question but the amount of tourists especially around sunset hour is insane. You have to battle the crowds to get to your room. Cute room right in the midst of all the action, with a nice outdoor space to use.

It was a beautiful place. We were welcomed at the Villa by Mario he was very informative and very friendly. Once we got our room it was spotless and smelled really cleaned. We had a great time in Santorini Oia, but keep in mind this place gets very busy. There are a few ships coming in a few times a day. Taxis and buses cost more than if you would ask the villa to provide you with a ride. From the port to the Villa it costs us for a van with 7 people 70€ which was not bad at all compared to the taxi which was going to be 60€ for 4 people. In Oia is where we stayed in Santorini the beaches are far so instead of taking another ride there which would take 30 minutes by car to get there, we decided to stay at the public pool which is a small pool but we enjoyed it. You have to pay a minimum of 10€ to stay there plus a 2€ to enter which they will bill you at the end. So those 12€ all together that is the minimum you have to spend rather in food or drinks and it’s per person. It doesn’t get too cheap anywhere there for 1 night and a 1 1/2 day we spent over 500€ in dinner, lunch, breakfast and souvenirs. Just keep that in mind. But very nice place. Thank you Mario we will definitely come back!

Bed comfort is bad, bed bugs

Do not stay here! We had 2 rooms, first room- bathroom had a sewage smell for a day. Air conditioning didn’t work for a day as well. Room 2-my room- there were cockroaches in the room and bathroom. Each day we had to kill at least 3 of them. They told us from day 1 there were no other rooms to move into so we had to stay there. We would like a refund but seems we won’t get it!! Zero compensation from the property. While the staff came immediately when something was not working, it’s still not a property I’d recommend. Absolutely a no!

This place was comfortable for the 4 of us, clean, centrally located, and had the most amazing views, we could see the perfect sunsets from our terrace. Mario and his brother were very helpful, gave us lots of information about the island, activities and restaurant recommendations. Mario helped us coordinate to rent a car for one day to explore the rest of the island. Overall it was a fantastic holiday and we would definitely stay here again.

The best location one can stay in Santorini... its almost like a fairy tale. Know that you need to haul your suitcases down the stairs, not a problem for us but we didn't know this. The house has minimum kitchen supplies (not even salt), bathroom needs upgrade the internet and TV did not work the whole time we were there. But the location and the charming house is hard to beat! I will stay again in a heart beat!

I stayed at Villa Ariadni for 3 nights. Here are some things I found should be clear to those reserving in advance. 1) There are several villas. We got the lowest one which had extremely steep steps. It takes 50 steps (of these about 30 are steep) to get to the general area of Oia where the restaurants and shops are located. So, if you have anyone with knee issues, and you want to stay at this Villa, request the top most villa with fewer steps when you reserve. 2) No view of the famous Oia Sunset - This was a big negative for me. This villa has a big white building on its right which completely blocks the Sunset. So, if you want to see the Sunset while sitting on the porch, sipping wine, this is not your place. You have to climb 30 steep steps to get to a spot where you can see the Sunset. Thus, although the villa has a very nice view of the Caldera, there is no view of the Sunset. 3) The Amenities - Bathroom - the shower faucet is quirky and showerhead only works if you learn the trick how to work it. A big negative. Additionally, the shower is open, thus everytime you shower, the water seeps out and floods the floor! Furthermore, there is no area inside the shower to hold your shampoo or soap. I am sure if you research, you might find a more updated place in Oia than this one. 4) all the furniture is outdated. The owner should update the furniture. Some of the chairs are falling apart. Another negative for me. Positives - Mario, the Manager is incredibly helpful

This house has an amazing view and the place was clean. The reason I didn't give it a higher review was because the beds were really uncomfortable. One of the mattresses should just be thrown out. Also - the television does not work. While we didn't need to use it that much...at night when everything is shut down (and you couldn't sit outside and watch the view) it would've been great if the kids had been able to watch a movie.

This was a beautiful place to stay. The location was perfect, in fact it’s where everyone comes to take pictures. Our host Marios was very available and helpful. It was four of us in the house, my husband and I, and my 2 teenage daughters, which, since we were out and about most of the time, was fine, but longer term probably would be too cramped for that many fully grown people. The bathroom Is very small and you have to hold the shower head yourself, but for a few days, it’s totally fine. Oia is just so beautiful and the house was a comfortable and cool refuge from the heat. We also had a very large patio that was just for us with incredible views.

I booked for two days, then there was air works strike and my flight was cancelled. It passed the refundable date. I message the property multiple times, and they did not care to respond at all. In theory they did nothing wrong but just so cold and unhelpful and inhumane!

Loved this space! Very convenient and spacious and clean for the price! Communication was fantastic leading up to and during the stay. They arranged transport and had great suggestions about area and logistics. AC was fantastic in the room! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time staying at Villa Ariadni in Oia. Best spot to watch the sunset on the balcony. Communication was really good, Yiannis send useful information ahead of the trip and Mario was the best. Mario welcomed us when we arrived and explain everything about the villa, he is very responsive to any request and also arrange the transfer for us. Would highly recommend this place when visiting Santorini!

Beautiful cave house in a great location! The walk from parking was the only challenge with luggage through Oia crowds and steps. The manager was very kind and helpful.

Algo que no me gustó es que al llegar me puse en contacto con el administrador del hotel para vernos en un punto de encuentro ya que no hay recepción, sin embargo hay problemas de comunicacion ya que el ayudante fue al lugar ni si quiera me pregunto mi nombre o con quien iba atendió a otras personas y me dejó esperando en el frio casi por media hora hasta que regresó a preguntar si yo era otro huesped

Check in was quick with Mario. Need to walk down the cliff but worth it. Private balcony with great view of the sunset. Close to Oia Castle and Windmills.

It’s situated right in the centre of everything with beautiful view to the blue domes and the volcanoside of the ocean. Very good communication with the staff and they met us by our ride on arrival.

Great location if you plan to stay in Oia. If watching the sunset is your goal, there is no better location price wise. I would stay here again

Schönes Zimmer, tolle Lage, wunderbare Terasse mit herrlichem Blick, sehr zentral gelegen.

Was centrally located yet provided a private setting for us (especially considering how busy Oia can get). The home was spacious enough for a family of 4.

Fantastic location. The location was actually quite convenient to one of the few points at which the city is accessible by motor vehicle. Proximity to attractions was great. Property managers had routine down to a science when it came to transportation and porters.

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Ariadni. Our host Marios was great. He gave us lots of recommendations and arranged transportation to/fro airport for us. The property is in a perfect location for stunning views. Everything is within walking distance and is very convenient.
