Beautiful location with great amenities, amazing adult only pools with great bartenders. Very close to the airport and known for the flights landing just above the water but it is surprisingly not annoying, actually fascinating

The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This resort is extremely dated and in need of a serious upgrade. The food at the buffet was average at best, as well as the other restaurants, except the Azul. The food and views, as well as the staff at the restaurant, are the only shining stars at the Sonesta Adults All Inclusive. We would like to especially thank Remi and Maddy for their tremendous kindness and personal attention to detail at the Azul and making every meal we had there so exceptional and extra special and we will forever wish them all the best! Kudos to the chefs there also as everything they cook is exceptional as well! I would love to be able to say that we found the staff and others very friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately that was not the case. People sadly seemed very indifferent and rarely greeted us with just a friendly hello. They would respond back when we greeted them, but rarely went out of their way to be the one to greet us with a simple smile or hello, which is sad. The smell of the jet fuel from the airport is also very overwhelming on a regular basis, which is another negative, along with the noise.There is also a lack of entertainment on the resort and almost nothing on the adult side, which is more expensive, so one would think there would be some decent entertainment there. We felt like where this is the only all inclusive on the island, the resort sets their standards very low as there is no competition. I would rate this resort as a 2.5 star hotel and I wouldn’t recommend it.
