This is a wonderful, large resort for a holiday with a small child. A fabulous heated indoor pool, and lots of things to do. Everything is in great condition, clean and safe. Housekeeping did a magnificent job on keeping our apartment tidy.

Exceptional resort with unique sourrounding, excellent housing and perfect facilities. The suites, the breakfast, the pools, the fitness corner, the spa, the garden, the service, the tennis and padel courts, the children playgrounds, the minigolf, everything is made with love and huge dedication to the highest standard possible. The pine cliffs offers a piece of heaven on earth. Enjoy your holidays.

We stayed in a three bedroom residence. It was spacious, traditionally decorated and well appointed with a full kitchen and washing machine & tumble dryer. The grounds are beautifully looked after with lots of grass for kids to play on. There are plenty of beds and umbrellas around the pools with pool towels stations in multiple areas. The beach restaurant has a fantastic view. All food is excellent but as expected expensive. Drinks are also expensive. There is a little mini market at the Residences but instead of using this i recommend you walk to the supermarket opposite the entrance which is well stocked. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Pine Cliffs and will be back again.

What incredible service from the staff at reception especially Gonçalos to rooms, pools, spa, luggage handlers, buggy drivers, spa receptionist, poolside bar service and the sunset bar place We celebrated my daughters'birthdays and it was made special Cooked breakfast in the ocean suites most days -all the utensils were perfect Even did a load of laundry helped I bought a few pods with me Zest had a tasty breakfast Would go stay at the ocean suite again

Pros - ocean suite room was great, family friendly, easy for buggy around resort, quality of food (breakfast and restaurants), great choice of restaurants, polite and friendly staff, clean room and resort. Cons - no one helped with taking luggage from/to taxi on arrival or departure, there is a charge for most things and be prepared to be told about it constantly - swimming caps for indoor pool, mini golf, parking, sun beds based on location, games room. Overall great experience but I did feel the luxury of a 5 star in all areas of the hotel.

We had a two bedroom suite at the Residences. Hotel is beautiful but it is very spread out. To go to beach and main hotel building you need to take a shuttle which you may need to wait for 15-20 minutes. For a 5 star resort service was a bit spotty. We had a mishap at breakfast- was told we can do a la cart instead of buffet but ended up waiting for 1 hour to get eggs which was ridiculous. This hotel is also outside of Albufeira so location is not super convenient - you have to drive to town.

The Ocean suites are brilliant. Pools are lovely. Facilities, beach, surroundings grounds are idyllic. It is perfect for a holiday with kids - so much to do and areas to wander around. Felt very relaxing. Hotel staff are lovely and helpful. Downsides - not much variety for food and restaurants within the resort. Half of them closed or you can’t get a reservation. All of the kids food was covered in salt and not much variety or healthy options. Cockroaches, baratas, cucarachas! Whatever you call them, they got them at this place. We booked a two week stay at this property in April. After a few day we found roaches in the kitchen. We asked to move but were told that that they would do a thorough cleaning and this would solve the problem. They said the resort is in nature and we might find the same problem if we moved to another unit. After another few days the roaches appeared again. We insisted on moving this time. Even though we were told the new unit was ready for us to move into, when we got there there was a maintenance man repairing a number of problems in the unit. He repaired a number of the electrical fixtures in the unit, but later we discovered that there were more electrical issues. We phoned and asked to have these issues addressed but no one ever came. The location is beautiful, including the beach and the swimming pools. The units themselves are well decorated. The kitchens in the residences are small and the sparely equipped. One thing that was problematic with both units was the fact that the supplied teflon frying pans were heavily scratched. The management should realize that these are unhealthy for guests to use. The seals on the windows in the first unit we rented had failed and the windows were all fogged up. It was also noisy, being close to the road. Overall, not the best experience.

The entire property was in pristine condition, the room, the spa, restaurants and all other public areas. My only regret is only being able to stay there for two nights due to a tight travel schedule. We have promised to return and stay on the property for an entire week!

The rooms are very nice and quite new. We were positively impressed about it. However, we had an issue with heating system, the heating system did not work for our entire stay and the service was not able to fix it in one of our room. We were expecting the hotel to provide us another room but they never even mentioned this possibility. Because of that my kids slept on a cold room for 2 nights. Also at the check out moment, the hotel did not mention the situation. This is not a behavior that you expect from a 5 starts hotel.

Ótima experiência, gostamos muito do hotel, limpeza da casa muito boa. Mas acredito que o serviço ao hóspede como recepção, guest services, concierge deveriam ser melhores para nivelar com o restante da hospedagem que foi ótima. Falta de funcionários para atender, concierge errou com a gente…Acho que poderia ser mais personalizado

Really enjoyed our stay here. Tons of stuff for the kids but still had a luxury hotel feel. We stayed in the Ocean suites 2 bedroom) and with the kids it was helpful to have the kitchen and washer/ dryer.

As a family of 5 we had a superb holiday at the Ocean suites. We had a ground floor apartment with garden and pool access which worked really well. We’d definately go back. The only criticism I have are the hedges around garden were in need of trim and cutting back as too overgrown and all food options were quite expensive, although we found a great Italian just outside Pine Cliffs on main road. A great place overall, we would highly recommend.

The rooms are very nice and quite new. We were positively impressed about it. However, we had an issue with heating system, the heating system did not work for our entire stay and the service was not able to fix it in one of our room. We were expecting the hotel to provide us another room but they never even mentioned this possibility. Because of that my kids slept on a cold room for 2 nights. Also at the check out moment, the hotel did not mention the situation. This is not a behavior that you expect from a 5 starts hotel.

Very friendly staff, we were made to feel instantly at home. Where we had issues with our room these were attended to straightaway. Grounds are beautiful and the walk around the resort was a pleasure. The beach is fantastic and picturesque.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Pine Cliffs. I travel a lot with work and stay in many hotels. Hands down, Pine Cliffs is one of the best resorts I’ve stayed in. The most amazing and helpful staff that make the whole family feel welcome. Their focus on the children is incredible, with our son being welcomed by name, high fives and a hug each morning at breakfast. The resort offers something for everyone in the family. Plenty of entertainment for Children, quiet areas for Mum and Dad. Great food, stunning views and a brilliant shuttle service to make getting around with a group so much easier. We will be back for sure!

Mas acredito que o serviço ao hóspede como recepção, guest services, concierge deveriam ser melhores para nivelar com o restante da hospedagem que foi ótima. Falta de funcionários para atender, concierge errou com a gente…Acho que poderia ser mais personalizado

What incredible service from the staff at reception especially Gonçalos to rooms, pools, spa, luggage handlers, buggy drivers, spa receptionist, poolside bar service and the sunset bar place We celebrated my daughters'birthdays and it was made special Cooked breakfast in the ocean suites most days -all the utensils were perfect Even did a load of laundry helped I bought a few pods with me Zest had a tasty breakfast Would go stay at the ocean suite again

Pros - ocean suite room was great, family friendly, easy for buggy around resort, quality of food (breakfast and restaurants), great choice of restaurants, polite and friendly staff, clean room and resort. Cons - no one helped with taking luggage from/to taxi on arrival or departure, there is a charge for most things and be prepared to be told about it constantly - swimming caps for indoor pool, mini golf, parking, sun beds based on location, games room. Overall great experience but I did feel the luxury of a 5 star in all areas of the hotel.

Found the staff not very friendly or helpful and a little bit rude at times. Overrated resort in my opinion and we were disappointed with out stay overall. We also found the resort was far too big and impersonal. The cliffs were beautiful and the rooms were spacious.

Cockroaches, baratas, cucarachas! Whatever you call them, they got them at this place. We booked a two week stay at this property in April. After a few day we found roaches in the kitchen. We asked to move but were told that that they would do a thorough cleaning and this would solve the problem. They said the resort is in nature and we might find the same problem if we moved to another unit. After another few days the roaches appeared again. We insisted on moving this time. Even though we were told the new unit was ready for us to move into, when we got there there was a maintenance man repairing a number of problems in the unit. He repaired a number of the electrical fixtures in the unit, but later we discovered that there were more electrical issues. We phoned and asked to have these issues addressed but no one ever came. The location is beautiful, including the beach and the swimming pools. The units themselves are well decorated. The kitchens in the residences are small and the sparely equipped. One thing that was problematic with both units was the fact that the supplied teflon frying pans were heavily scratched. The management should realize that these are unhealthy for guests to use. Pine Cliffs was incredible. The resort is stunning. We got engaged there, which was the highlight of our trip. The resort is close to nearby towns, hiking trails and attractions in Algarve. Everything is a short taxi away or they have a rental car service on the property. It was very convenient for our trip to Lagos. An ideal location in between everything with its own private beach. Staff was very friendly. It was warm and perfect beach weather in April. Did not have to pay for chairs on the beach. Be warned that it is a family resort with lots of kids. If you are going as a couple you may not be into that. I would stay there again. If you are looking for fresh fish, go off resort. All resort restaurants are over priced for catch of the day 120€ pp. If you go in town (Albufeira or to marina), catch of the day is 20€ pp and amazing food. The resort has a market on the Main Street, which is very handy for buying drinks, quick snacks or sunscreen. Bonvoy members: you cannot get points for your stay by booking through Expedia. I would recommend booking direct through Marriott.

We stayed in a three bedroom residence. It was spacious, traditionally decorated and well appointed with a full kitchen and washing machine & tumble dryer. The grounds are beautifully looked after with lots of grass for kids to play on. There are plenty of beds and umbrellas around the pools with pool towels stations in multiple areas. The beach restaurant has a fantastic view. All food is excellent but as expected expensive. Drinks are also expensive. There is a little mini market at the Residences but instead of using this i recommend you walk to the supermarket opposite the entrance which is well stocked. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Pine Cliffs and will be back again.

The Ocean suites are brilliant. Pools are lovely. Facilities, beach, surroundings grounds are idyllic. It is perfect for a holiday with kids - so much to do and areas to wander around. Felt very relaxing. Hotel staff are lovely and helpful. Downsides - not much variety for food and restaurants within the resort. Half of them closed or you can’t get a reservation. All of the kids food was covered in salt and not much variety or healthy options. Also the staff in the fine dining restaurants (particularly o pescador where we ate twice) are not as friendly or helpful and service is not 5 star quality. But staff at breakfast and the cafe and within the hotel/reception are very lovely and helpful. Overall I would return and felt like it was very good value for money.

Pine Cliffs is a truly exceptional hotel in the Algarve, having spent already 4 holidays there. The staff is always doing their best and are very polite. The O Pescador restaurant has great fish dishes. Also the proximity to Praia Falesia is what makes this our regular choice for the Algarve holiday. Unfortunately the recent storms have taken a toll on the beach restaurant and the beach keeps eroding every year- i hope they can fix it
