Parking is easy. Staff is friendly.

Room was clean comfortable and quiet. Lobby area and entrance were very nice. Carpeting is halls and rooms should be up dated or replaced with hard flooring. Parking was good. Surrounding area had plenty of restaurants and stores.

Terrible breakfast selection and no fitness center

The good stuff: - Checking in and out is very easy. - The staff is really nice, from the reception clerk to the maid. - The breakfast buffet - bagels, muffins, donuts, yogurt, cold cereal, oatmeal, waffles - is convenient, tasty, and restocked quickly. - It's great to be able to get coffee and tea any time of day in the lobby. - The beds are VERY comfortable. - The maid service is awesome. This is the first time that asking for extra towels actually resulted in actually sufficient towels. - All the room's amenities worked, including the fridge and microwave, & the hotel is close to multiple grocery stores, Walmarts and restaurants, so you can bring food in and live affordably. - The air conditioning was very good. - Overall, I felt very welcome here. Could-be-better: - In-room entertainment is lacking. The TV is basic cable - nothing streaming, not even a TV guide channel. - The Wi-Fi was spotty - not entirely their fault, since a storm knocked everything out, but also not strong enough to reliably stream a movie on my laptop. I had to use my phone as a remote hotspot. - The physical plant needs a little love. There's a gash on the base of the wall opposite the elevator on the 2nd floor. Places had chipped paint, and we had to leave one lamp plugged in because it had no on/off switch. - A second chair in the room would be nice. We had a pleasant stay, but investing in a few renovations and better in-room entertainment would easily add another star to this review.

Parking, Breakfast

The hotel is definitely a budget hotel. However, it rates at high end for budget hotels. Room was comfortable and clean. Area is quiet. Make sure to arrive before 10:00 pm, or make arrangements since the front desk closes at 10:00.

Run down and lacks amenities

The property is clean, well-maintained and the technology was pretty good. It was nice that they have coffee, tea and water available all night.

The staff was welcoming. The roof was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I drive an EV vehicle. I would be nice to have a recharge location on the premises or within walking distance.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel is old and in serious need of updating. Furniture was scratched, carpets were stained, walls needed repainting and/or new wallpaper. Everything just looked run down.

The shower in room 109 had black mold. We suspect that section 8 people are living in the facility. Children are running up and down the halls. Very noisy, Small children are playing in the outside area in the dirt. We had multiple people staying in our group that had similar concerns. Rooms had smell like cigarette smile and mildew. Advertised breakfast, which included day old donuts

While the room seemed clean in general, the condition of the room was "tired" - knicks on doors, baseboards, and furniture, huge stain on the carpet, drawstring for curtain was disgusting, and so on. The doors from other rooms were *really* loud when closing. We were there for 12 hours and slept most of it so not a big deal. Interactions with staff at check-in and check-out were minimal and hardly friendly.

The shower bar had mold on it and the facet to start the shower was coming out of the wall.

Very clean

The location was perfect for us but in the room the light on the desk was broken, the hair dryer was broken, the light on the makeup mirror was not lighting, the rug had stains everywhere, the duvet cover was covering a lump of quilt that hung off the bed. This was room 214. We were in room 209 first and that one was better. But when we wanted to extend our stay were moved to 214.

The hotel did not meet expectations from the pictures on the website. The floors and carpets were filthy, stains everywhere. The tub was stained and dirty. Stood on towels to take a shower. Very low water pressure and spiders in room and bathroom. We did not feel safe outside of the hotel. the evening staff was irritated when we asked for additional towels. Only two towels in a room booked for four people.

Extremely clean! Would definitely stay there again!

First floor smelled moldy

Suggest staying somewhere else. Carpet was stained with an unknown substance and dirty. Front desk person said it was "cranberry juice." Components in bathroom were dirty. TV remote was gummy. Front desk was not manned at night or early morning. If the room was refundable, I would have left.

Although the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast and area were nice, the hotel seems to be due for renovation and repairs to remain competitive in the market for the price. What stood out the most was the damp smell and dim lighting.

Very comfortable bed and room. Very clean bathroom. Very old and dated. Windows only had one crank to open them. Room smelled when we entered but cleared with air conditioning on. Very quiet and nearly empty. Breakfast was ok but limited. It just looks old, sad and seldom used.

Older property yet charming, with clean and rennovated rooms. Breakfast basic but convenient, room doors need replacing as they stick and slam - waking everyone else up. Good location, would stay again!

The room was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. There was a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom.

The staff person when we arrived seemed disinterested. The one when we left was pleasant. The bathroom was large and had separate bath and shower but the shower was way too small. The TV in the bedroom had cable while the one in the sitting room was antenna.

The bed and pillows were among the most comfortable of any hotel I've stayed at.

The WiFi was terrible. I called front desk and asked them to reset the routers but they refused claiming all was working. Then admitted guests often have difficulty with the WiFi. The room was quiet, large and the bed was clean but the furniture and carpet is OLD. Poor water pressure in shower. You get what you pay for.

The room size was excellent, and for the most part the room was clean. The shower was very small and the bathtub did not have a plug.

Truly enjoyed the staff. They wen out of their way to accommodate us. Facilities were very good, and clean, but not quite 5-star. I would stay here again.

I didn't like that there was a coffee or blood stain on the sheets by the pillows of which I took a picture of. When I went to the front desk to complain, there was no one there. Then on Saturday 1/4/25 around 12:45pm, my keycard wouldn't open my door and I was locked out of my room. I went to the front desk and again, no one there and I rang the Ring doorbell and had to wait out in the lobby for about 20-30 minutes before someone finally came to the desk. She redid my card and told me to keep it away from my cellphone and bankcard, I told her it was in my coat pocket all by itself and no where's near anything. The breakfast consisted of either danish or bagels, the waffle machine was not set up either morning. Coffee is supposed to be available 24 hours a day, which it was, but Sunday morning 1/5/25, just before the clerk arrived for work, I went to get coffee and there was no sugar, so I looked in a couple of cupboards and the front desk clerk came in and told me I am not allowed to go in the cupboard like I was some child...I told her that if there was enough sugar put out the night before, I would not have to be doing there job...But after sounding so negative above, I will say the beds were very comfortable and the nights were very quiet. One more thing, the tv came in all fuzzy and the cable channels would not come in, the screen was all green on those channels. Also the lady that checked us in on Friday 1/3/25 was very nice and helped us with a smooth check in.

Room was affordable for one nights stay. Staff went home and office closed at 11 pm -7 am

We were very disappointed. We had stayed here for my 50th High School reunion almost 5 years ago. It is under new management. Here is why we gave it a 3: 1) no local TV stations were available (ABC, NBC, CBS). They told me the antenna had been messed up by a storm. 2)On Saturday there were no fresh pastries from Villa Italia which was the best part of their breakfast. Even the Super 8 down the road had a better breakfast. 3) The toilet roll holder kept falling off 4) On Sunday evening when we returned from spending time with my Mom for Easter, our cards didn't work. It was a good thing we came back to the hotel when we did, because after 10:00 pm there is no one on duty in the hotel. 5) On Monday morning their was no regular coffee, until I asked as well as 2 other guests also did.

We didnt unload iur stuff immediately as we had to get back on the road to get to our concert. When we got back after 1 am we couldn't get into the room they assigned us. No problem we went down she gave us a new card and those done work either. We go up and down the floors multiple times to relize they either gave our room away to someone else. We asked to leave and get a refund and were told no and given a differnt room after another mix up with the other people and the room cards.

The front desk staff was not very welcoming at arrival. Cleaning staff barely looked at me when I smiled and said good morning. Check out person was nice. Unfortunately, this property is sad and tired looking. The owner should update it a little bit at least. Make it look inviting. I checked out early.

They incorrectly charged us the damage deposit for our room and we had to fight with them with them to get it back. We have stayed in hundreds of rooms over the years and have never damaged anything nor been charged the damage deposit. As the icing on the cake, we got ripped off on the US to Canadian exchange rate and lost $6.00 Canadian on the return of our money, even though the Canadian dollar went down in value while we were waiting for the refund. It’s not the $6.00 that matters, it’s the principle of the whole experience. The staff is untrained. Neither the juice nor coffee machines were working and they couldn’t fix them. Needless to say,we will never be back.

Property was good shape and perfect for the area which we could fine our way around. The hotel it’s self was good and easy to get around the Capital of Albany.

We loved our suite. This was a stop on a larger trip. Hotel was convenient, close enough to downtown and the casino area without being busy.

The Inn is in need of updating. The breakfast buffet was disappointing. Not sure if that was because we were there mid-week. No waffle mix available. Very limited pastries or bagels. One morning that we slept in a little, there only bagels. They did have bananas, yogurt and cereal. However, it was perfect place to spent the before and after visiting Howe's Cavern and Rivers Casino.

It is OK for the price, the neighborhood is a little sketchy and the hotel itself is pretty dated. The staff member who checked us in was very professional and friendly despite being behind a glass partition, something I don't think I have experienced in a prior hotel stay. The carpet in my room was stained, although it was clean as far as I could tell, but the entire place had a feel of somewhere that was nice at one time but not so much now. Again, a decent value for the money but I wouldn't stay here again.

I didn't get in until late, after the front desk was closed. I appreciate the way they reached out by phone to give all the instructions I'd need to get in. The hotel is located a bit off the beaten path, but finding my way in was easy with the instructions they texted me. Room was clean, and bed was comfortable.

Access to the property was terrble and dangerous.

Convenient location. Multiple restaurants and stores close by. King room was upgraded to suite.

Difficult to get to by bike. Felt unsafe on roads when biking.

Conveniently located for our stay in Rotterdam

I have traveled extensively and only choose 8.0 or above rated hotels, and I cannot figure out how this one made it to that category. Musty rooms, dingy furniture, tired looking lobby, this may have been a boutique hotel at one time, but its prime is long gone. The pictures on the website are obviously dated. Description says housekeeping daily, but we never had service the four days we were there. Bathrooms were dirty, tub, shower curtain, and spider webs. (see pictures) Breakfast was minimal. Waffle maker was broken three out of the four days we were there. The other two days they were empty at 8:30 with no refills. The staff did come out and clean it and close it down. The other offerings were yogurt, two types of cereals, bananas and apples on two days, and bagels, with very little put out and most gone by 8:30, Staff told me that the only thing they were required to refill were the bagels. The only bagels left on one day at 8:30 were onion flavor. I was told there were pastries earlier, but she was not refilling them. We knew that it was continental and didn't expect much, but we did expect what they offered from 7 - 10, to not be finished by 8:30 with no refills. When at the desk, you had to speak first, because they were often unaware you were standing there because they were on their phones. Truly a disappointment, because we loved our visits to the places we visited in Schenectady.

Everything great in the room just the breakfast was terrible we arrived the night before and the same hard like a rock bagels were there for breakfast terrible coffee and 2 lame yogurts plus old fruit I don’t think is healthy to keep food from day before there to save a buck or 2 so don’t count on the breakfast

There was a text sent to us to please pay in cash when we got there. We had no cash on us. Then a second text to please pay in cash. Just feel like someone is cheating the system by doing that. Place could have been cleaner. Desk staff just sits there on their iPhones. Breakfast not refilled or cleaned as it goes on. Very minimal breakfast. NOTHING like the photos. Only thing offered was a waffle and an apple

Staff were friendly, room was clean but the breakfast was super limited. Was advertised as having a waffle iron and hot items but there was nothing like that available. Otherwise, a nice place!

The room was adequate. It satisfied our needs for the one night we stayed there. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were great. However it’s an older facility. Because of that many aspects of the hotel are showing their age. But overall the place was clean enough. Everything in the room worked—TV, shower, WiFi, fridge, iron, ironing board, etc. it’s a budget hotel at a budget price with budget amenities. The free breakfast is enough to get one started for the day — coffee, juice, milk, some pastries, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, some fruit, yogurt, bagels. There was a waffle maker but the batter dispenser was empty. No eggs of any kind. No breakfast meat. Overall, it was good enough for a quick snooze to break up a long drive.

Room is clean and comfortable. However the breakfast is very limited; cerials, bagels, bananas and apples only. The coffee is terrible.

Great find. We were upgraded to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise. Seemed to be an older property, but has been updated. Breakfast options were limited, but they had fabulous baked goods from a local bakery.

Our one bedroom 2nd floor unit (202) was nice, clean with a comfortable king size bed. The breakfast offered however was quite bad. It was from 7 to 10 a.m. When we got to the breakfast there were no muffins left, only 2 bagels, no bananas etc. We advised staff that there were no muffins left and was advised that is all there is and there would be no refills. The breakfast was on for another 1.5 hours so all other guests were out of luck.

It was clean, breakfast was sparce but enough.
