Ocean View Inn

The room was dirty, dried blood on the curtains, no ice machine, no cups, or anything in the room. Had to repeatedly ring both door bells to get someone to give me a roll of toilet paper( they were asleep in the office area) stated it was an Ocean view, definitely was not that at all. Had to kill 2 cockroaches. Definitely would not stay there again if i have a choice

Washers and dryers where old and beat up, worn out and actually only one of each worked.

Stayed on 2nd floor this time. Got the "Beach view" instead of "ocean view" . Deluxe riom .. bed was soooo comfortable!! Had stiv5e and refrigerator. Great view from window. For the price you wont find a place right by the ocean for a better price.

Old motel, comfy beds/pillows. Being in the beach means sand everywhere…but upon entry floor was mildly sandy already. I understand it is hard to keep sand out, so try swifter. The kitchenette availability was nice considering the price, but offer a kitchen towel for drying and maybe some soap for dishwashing as a standard.

Room floor was lil dirty. Area around outside room was dirty. Parking is good. Area is good. But definitely could use a clean up. Staff was good.

I absolutely love that's it's beside the beach. I thought online it had a stove but it only has the fridge and microwave but a space on the counter to hold our travel appliances so that makes it great. I do wish it was cheaper per night but it's the season .

This place should be a 40 dollar a night hotel... The room had no AC, no TV, no shampoo or soap, no toilet paper, the floors where sticky and dirty, front desk lady was not friendly... Will most definitely not stay here again

This "non-smoking" room smelled of cigarettes, including the pillows. No top sheet, no phone, no hot water, no soap or shampoo and a carpet that defies description. No view and no coffee pot in the room, no coffee in the foyer or anywhere nearby to purchase. A staff that was rude and scary. I was actually threatened when I asked for assistance with the television.

No rooms was available upstairs cause of repairs

Close to the ocean that’s a good thing about this hotel. But the room was so dirty. They didn’t even Change the sheets and I found a dirty face cloth on top of the shower curtain just gross.

The floor was gritty - like it needed swept and mopped. There was mold on the shower wall and curtain. There were no hand towels and no place in the shower to put a bar of soap. There was no place to hang multiple wet towels. I had shirts on hangers but no place to hang them. There were no real blankets on the beds - it was a sheet and some other light weight thing. We were cold. My daughter use her beach towel as a blanket. The first night we were there, someone's car alarm went off at 3:00 AM and continued off and on until 7:00 AM. Other people staying there tried to help but no employee ever came to check it out. It was right outside our room and so we got little to no sleep. Room did not look like the picture.

Room had bedbug’s

Worst place i have ever seen! I have no idea how it is still listed on expedia. Checked in and immediately checked right back out. Blood on the sheets, filthy clothes everywhere room was not clean, dirt in the floor, roaches. Outside the room there was dirty clothes panties bra’s, trash, beer cans. Looks like homeless are living on the stairs and people actually living in the rooms. Requested a refund and have not heard anything yet. I would not recomment anyone to stay here it was god awful. Was only there 10 minutes..

There was a rat in the room and told management and they did not assist with it at all

Cockroaches the size of my hand in and around our room. There was a half inch of space between the floor to the room and the front door, so the roaches can crawl in and out as they please. The sheets clearly hadn’t been washed or changed before we checked in. Don’t come here.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. My room was dirty other than clean sheets and towels. Fridge had rust and mold. Shower handle fell off. Multiple surfaces not wiped down (greasy fingerprints on tables). Roach in the overhead light. People in the next room having fights in the middle of the night and there were men walking back and forth in front of my door for an hour last night at 1:30 am smoking cigarettes and joints. This was coming through my ventilation system but I didn’t want to turn the fan off because the fight between a man and woman was so loud. There were kids playing in the parking lot the night before, which scares me for them! There were multiple drug deals going on in the parking lot on Friday night, all night long. Was supposed to travel with my infant granddaughter. So glad she got sick and had to stay home. This hotel needs to come off your website, Hotels.com! I could deal with the less than sanitary room, but the safety issues are not ok! My hair dryer cord caught fire this morning from faulty wiring in the place. This place needs to be condemned! I literally slept with a table in front of my door for safety purposes! DO NOT ADVISE STAYING HERE!!!

The room was bare and the floor was dirty. There were no side lamps and the curtain was not fully covering the window so a bright light was shining inside during the night and there was little privacy. The staff was unfriendly.

Ocean View Inn is a place I stay every year for the 4th of July. The rooms are basic needs. No hair dryer, no fancy toiletries. Just a nice clean room, with clean sheets, fresh towels everyday, and a 30 second walk to the bay. It’s perfect for me! They treat their guests well, while giving them the privacy they want.

Nice, updated rooms and pretty courtyard. The staff was very accommodating as well! There aren’t any rooms with two beds if you’re looking for that but if only one is needed, it’s great!

There was an unpleasant smell when you first entered the room. The room was dirty (black flecks on sheets, plaster dust on vanity). The freezer section of the frig had so much ice on it (about 3" thick) and no door, so it was useless. There was no night tables and no security lock for the door.

Prior to arrival I attempted to contact the motel desk multiple times regarding possible late check in with no response & wasn’t able to leave a message. At check in the clerk was on his phone & I had to get his attn at the after hours window. The clerk was unfriendly. I entered my room & it was nothing like the photos on hotels.com. Unknown fluids streaming down walls, doors, drapes & all over bedspread. As well as cigarette burns everywhere, dirt & mold. Pungent odor of marijuana smoked within my room, which was non-smoking. Various other room’s doors were open with quest sitting on chairs outside their doors. It was VERY evident ALL the rooms were NASTY. I returned to the clerk who was on his phone again & advised I would be checking out. I advised it was due to the horrific conditions of the hotel. The clerk showed no concern but did offer another room to which I advised I could plainly see the other rooms which were in the same if not worse condition. The clerk refused to provide documentation that I checked out & walked away to resume his cell phone call. I contacted hotels.com immediately & advised of the gross misrepresentation of this motel on their site. Complaint filed, however due to hotels.com not being able to reach the motel to discuss a refund, no refund was received. Nor was I reimbursed by hotels.com the rewards I used towards this booking which I felt would have been fair due to the gross misrepresentation of this motel on the site.

Great staff,

It was good for the price. Private access to the beach too, and I got to watch the sunrise in real time. The staff was nice, and the toilet wouldn't flush when I got there, but they literally fixed it within five minutes and checked the next morning to make sure it was still working ok. Stayed twice so far. No complaints!

They are very rude I have kids and they just care about the money my fridge doesnt work it leaks everyday it's a leak in the sink in the kitchenette Everytime you use it and the sink in the bathroom something is clogged there the maintenance came once when I wasn't here so they didn't come in and never came bk I been here over a month and bc I asked for a lower price bc it's not fully working they call the cops. But there's 20 plus homeless ppl all around and they don't get baned

They told me the room I paid for was unavailable, laughed in my face as I begged and cried, and walked away/closed the door in my face. I was told expedia was not responsible for providing a refund for the product I paid for but never received. The Ocean View Inn lied and said the room was available when it wasn’t, so Expedia is refusing my refund request. Never trust Expedia for your travel needs. I’m horribly disappointed and hurt they took my money and never made ANYTHING right. Shame on you.

This places was terrible. I pulled up and pulled out! It looked like a trap house(drug house). People fixing cars in the parking out, people hanging out in the wall way, police presence( btw its 100 degrees outside)....I did not feel safe staying there. I end up having to book another place. I reached out to Expedia as soon as I saw the location was a trap house opened a ticket then I wake to a missed call from.tbis location at 12:45am..... UNACCEPTABLE . Trying to get a refund from Expedia but not being successful due to location policy which is crazy to me! I feel due to Expedia representing them I should be able to get a total refund! I would not recommend this locatiom to ANYONE!

This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was nice for the price except the bed sheets were dirty. That wasn't the serious problem. The serious problem was the amount of drug dealing and people going through stolen property under the stairwell next to our room. When I notified the owner we weren't comfortable staying he refused to give a refund for the following night as I had paid for two nights there. We ended up leaving without even putting our luggage in the room as we were afraid we might get robbed. Seriously unsafe hotel. I have stayed on Ocean View many times over the past 4 years and never had an issue like this.
