Parking was easy, check-in was quick with welcoming and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable, well-appointed with plenty of hot water pressure. We enjoyed a good quality evening meal in the restaurant and returned for a breakfast that offered many options the following morning.

Bed was comfortable and the on-site restaurant provided easy access and satisfaction to our hungry bellies. Staff were very attentive to our needs. Overall a nice stay.

the property and the staff where very good . check in was easy . ideally situated for Alnwick castle . although at the side of the A1 it was quiet . The rooms where large an well kept in good order . the food in the bar was excellent and service was quick even though busy. negatives only minor TV was too small for the room a bit of an odour probably due the the dog friendly nature of hotel ? breakfast was a lots of choice a buffet breakfast. Only disappointment was some of the produce was bland and could have offered something a little higher standard ideally local produce . we will use the chain again as on multi location trip it was the best value for money

Good hotel, great staff in an unusual location. Nice restaurant. Breakfast is busy. A1 noise is evident due to lack of A/C. The staff try and are very very nice. Good overnight but off the beaten path. It’s not walkable.

Lovely, friendly staff and all our meals were very good. Our spacious room was quiet and clean although there was unfortunately a stain on the bed sheets and we found the bed rather too firm for our liking. The inn is a lovely building, about a 30 minute walk into Alnwick, located behind a garage and close to a supermarket. There anre cc security cameras around the car park. Although we had a pleasant stay, we were very disappointed that our 2 night booking did not include an evening meal as we thought, due to a complex booking system. Our advice would be to book directly with the inn, not through a third party, if you want the best deal.

The hotel is exceptionally clean, the staff are friendly,helpful and knowledgeable. The accommodation was comfortable. There is a danger in the bathroom - the inside of the bath has only minimal anti-slip: it doesn’t extend the full length of the bath. I could only climb out of the shower with help from my partner. Food was satisfactory, though the menu a bit heavy, especially for a vegetarian.

Nobody on reception so had to use online check in. Ok but no obvious sign to rooms. Wi-Fi did not reach our room. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Handy for town and further afield.

OK, but internet is shocking it is third world standard needs an IT person to come in to get a signal that is at least acceptable. Room was a bit noisy being so close to the main road.

Great place to stay to visit Alnwick and the surrounding area. The only downside is the noise from the traffic. Really noisy in the room we had. But check in and out was easy, and breakfast was great.

Excellent location for us ,staff so friendly and helpful and welcoming nothing a problem for them ,unfortunately didn’t get names but highly recommended,was really busy on Friday and Saturday but staff had everything under control ,ran like clockwork ,and also got free drinks as complimentary ,food was lovely with a nice varied menu to suit everyone I would say . Will stay here again .

It’s a great location with large comfortable rooms and comfortable bed. The restaurant and bar service was poor due to lack of staff to meet needs of busy bar & restaurant. Very busy and noisy M1 close by, with fast EV charger nearby

Hotel was nice and clean. Service was very poor in the restaurant. It took over 40 minutes to get our meal which was then incorrect. When the amended meal was chased, the server was very rude and confrontational. In addition, the food was very expensive. V disappointed.

Accommodation was great. Sadly there were not enough staff for the restaurant/bar, so service was often slow or with inexperienced staff not knowing what to do with either the lovely manageress trying to sort them, or the grumpier male manager who needs a few lessons in hospitality! Food was ok when it eventually did come out. They've made an effort on the menu but quite often up to an hours wait for the main course after starters came out quickly. Staff rushing past dirty tables, so not quick at clearing up. A shame as the restaurant let the accommodation down. The pictures are taken from advantages angles. We could see the A1 from our window and could hear it. Coming from a built up area this didn't bother us at all but might others. Accommodation clean, modern and comfortable. A few great restaurants in town but being right on the edge you really need to drive.

Pleasant enough hotel. A twenty minute walk into the nearest town situated in an industrial site next to a McDonalds. The rooms are pleasant, the breakfast was (I am told) excellent for the meat eaters, but there is a very limited provision for veggies. An OK place. . An OK place.

Great stopover hotel outside of Alnwick, just off the A1. The rooms are very generous in size with comfortable beds. Staff were helpful with regards to breakfast as there was a large group staying as well.

Lovely place to stay if you have a vehicle but it is a bit far to get into downtown Alnwick and the Castle and Gardens. It is about a 30 minute walk. Uber and cabs are dicey at best. We took the bus, but it only runs hourly. Restaurant was great with a good breakfast that was included. Rooms are nice, but no fridge. The staff we interacted with were very friendly.

Just off the A1 near Alnwick, though not close enough to stroll into town. Reasonable rooms although a bit too hot for comfortable sleeping. some traffic noise if you opened the windows. Good for overnight stay with superb help yourself breakfast with fresh orange juice and good coffee. Pillows on the bed were a bit hard.

Clean, spacious rooms and a fabulous buffet breakfast. Evening meal decent but quite a wait for food as it was busy. Great location for exploring the Northumberland coast and we could walk into Alnwick easily (1.5 miles)

Good but on a business complex a fair way out of town. Internet difficult to stay with, had wi-fi but not internet connection.Right next to A1.

Good hotel, great staff in an unusual location. Nice restaurant. Breakfast is busy. A1 noise is evident due to lack of A/C. The staff try and are very very nice. Good overnight but off the beaten path. It’s not walkable.

Bedroom was comfortable enough but faced the A1 and the sound insulation was inadequate to keep the traffic noise out. Breakfast menu was fine but they ran out of some dishes given the number of guests they had which was poor. Evening menu was limited and the extra fries we ordered were cold, hard and not cooked enough. We had to send them back. We were not offered an automatic refund for this and I had to get it deducted on check out which they did. In short, it was an adequate hotel but they really need to up their game on the catering and sound insulation in the bedrooms.

Pleasant enough hotel. A twenty minute walk into the nearest town situated in an industrial site next to a McDonalds. The rooms are pleasant, the breakfast was (I am told) excellent for the meat eaters, but there is a very limited provision for veggies. An OK place. . An OK place.

Hotel was nice and clean. Service was very poor in the restaurant. It took over 40 minutes to get our meal which was then incorrect. When the amended meal was chased, the server was very rude and confrontational. In addition, the food was very expensive. V disappointed.

The hotel is exceptionally clean, the staff are friendly,helpful and knowledgeable. The accommodation was comfortable. There is a danger in the bathroom - the inside of the bath has only minimal anti-slip: it doesn’t extend the full length of the bath. I could only climb out of the shower with help from my partner. Food was satisfactory, though the menu a bit heavy, especially for a vegetarian.

Clean, spacious rooms and a fabulous buffet breakfast. Evening meal decent but quite a wait for food as it was busy. Great location for exploring the Northumberland coast and we could walk into Alnwick easily (1.5 miles)

Accommodation was great. Sadly there were not enough staff for the restaurant/bar, so service was often slow or with inexperienced staff not knowing what to do with either the lovely manageress trying to sort them, or the grumpier male manager who needs a few lessons in hospitality! Food was ok when it eventually did come out. They've made an effort on the menu but quite often up to an hours wait for the main course after starters came out quickly. Staff rushing past dirty tables, so not quick at clearing up. A shame as the restaurant let the accommodation down. The pictures are taken from advantages angles. We could see the A1 from our window and could hear it. Coming from a built up area this didn't bother us at all but might others. Accommodation clean, modern and comfortable. A few great restaurants in town but being right on the edge you really need to drive.

Firstly, in their defence, this is an inn not an hotel. However, at £160 per night, we expected more. During our week's stay only one member of staff bothered to make conversation and at no time were we asked if everything was okay. The breakfast buffet was poor, we frequently had to ask for milk/bread/pastries etc to be replenished. Individual bowls of fruit salad were awash with juice and the same fruit combination appeared every day. There was no plain yoghurt and cereal came in individual boxes. For those who prefer not to have a cooked breakfast it seemed wrong to be charging the same price to all customers. Tables weren't cleared so this resulted in being surrounded by dirty dishes. We eventually discovered the water dispenser at the far end of the bar when you would have expected water to be provided next to the juices. The room was comfortable apart from the overbearing heat. The fan provided was noisy. If we opened the window the noise of traffic on the A1 kept us awake. In spite of the high temperatures no water was provided, so glasses had to be carried up from the bar. Food was mediocre and on one occasion a chicken pie turned out to be beef. The worst issue was the incessant music which it was impossible to escape, even if you went outside; there was no quiet area anywhere. At times conversation was impossible as was trying to read. We left feeling that no one had connected with us or made any effort to make us feel welcome. Overall an expensive mistake.
