Hampton Suites Serviced Apartments

I liked that there were separate rooms to have our kids in another room. I liked that there was a washer and dryer. I liked that these was a full kitchen. Unfortunately, there were a few things I didn't like. Check in is in another hotel which is about 5 minutes away. In my situation it was an inconvenience because I had two young children with me and hauling our luggage to other location was not ideal. Luckily, my husband was with us so he stayed behind and they let us leave our luggage in that location until it was time for checkin. The elevators broke on the second day of our stay so we had to carry our luggage down the stairs. The washer/dyer left black stains on our clothes after our first wash. There was no air conditioner, the two small fans that were available for us where not working. We were also 45 minutes away from downtown but in traffic it can be up to two hours because there is no feeway and the speed limit is 20mph.

The apartment had what you would need for 2 people staying for a weekend and planning to be out most of the time, but it would be a little sparse for any other purpose. We only received the email stating that we had to check in at the Crowne Plaza hotel 5 minutes down the road the day before and there was only one set of keys available which caused us a problem as my husband and I had different plans for the evening and weren’t going to get back at the same time. If you want a quiet night I would suggest requesting an apartment at the back of the building as ours was at the front and suffered from road noise. We were lucky to get a parking space on site but several other guests weren’t because there are 2 large storage containers taking up at least 4 of the parking spaces. They look like permanent fixtures. It gave the impression that it had been furnished and maintained cheaply. The laminate floor was tatty, there was a knife missing from the preparation knife set, the 2 wine glasses didn’t match, there were only 2 pans and no serving bowls that could be used for salad etc, the toilet roll holder kept falling over, and one of the floating shelves sloped downwards. The biggest downside was the bed is too large for the bedroom and left little space to get round in the corner where the wardrobe is situated.

Property was great but it is very hot on a hot day/night as there is no ac and the fan are no good.

Great property, just what we needed. Could have done with air conditioning; bizarrely the corridors were cool, but the apartment was really really warm. Fans were provided.

Place looks tired. Floors and curtains etc worn out. The cue cards for the place out of date. Wi Fi password didn’t work so had to call the hotel. The heating controls different to the photo and two radiators never came on. The controls to the heating system didn’t work. The large lounge tv has a purple line going down the screen as the screen is going. Three parking spaces taken up by a portakabin. Would not recommend this place.

The apartment itself was very clean and compact. The only thing I would say is the step up to the shower is quite high and could be dangerous when stepping down and wet. The toilet is also very low What isnt clear before booking is how to get your keys...you need to walk 1/4 mile ish to the hotel to collect them and then walk back. The onsite free parking seemed to be taken up by residents in the apartments that were not part of the Hampton so we had to pay in the car park across the road

I think the lower than average price makes it value for money. Parking space not always available, council carpark across the road £5 a day. Kitchen worktops needed replacing as burn marks & laminate peels. Good large tv in lounge & bedroom.

The apartment needs renovation. Limited number of parking spaces and thus we need to park at Crown Plaza Hotel and walk back to the apartment. If need to do laundry, need to use the shared washing machines. However, one is broke and another isn’t connected with water supply.

Once arrived at the property the tv wasn’t working which was a let down. I tried to call main desk but no answer. Bed was also dirty.

Noice from road is so loud that you cannot have windows open. Room has no ventilation and hallway smells damp. Interior is old and worn.

The building itself was relatively nice, staff were very helpful and accommodating during check-in. The apartment itself had some issues, there was old food from a previous guest still in the fridge, the bathroom toilet seat was almost completely detached from the toilet, the shower had mold/mildew in one of the corners, and the tooth brush holder/cup had some kind of slime in the bottom of it.

I stayed in the Hampton Court Apartment Suite and had an extremely poor experience — completely unacceptable for the money I paid. When I arrived, my key didn’t work and I had to call for assistance to even access the building. There was no check-in information, no Wi-Fi or phone signal and I had to go outside just to try and contact the hotel. I called six times with no answer. Inside, the apartment was in a terrible state: marks all over the walls, no bin bag provided, a towel with a blood stain and a broken iron. I raised these issues twice in person (at 2:00 am and again at 8:00 am) and was advised to follow up in writing - which I did. It has now been over 10 days and management still hasn’t responded. I’ve called more than five times and each time I’ve been told someone would get back to me, but nobody ever has. Truly awful customer service and far below what I would expect for the price I paid.

room was fine common areas were disgusting this property should not be on the Expedia web site items of clothing and rubbish strewn all over the floor If I could have booked into the hotel i would have but they were full Hampton Suites was the problem

Bathroom wasn’t that clean, internet didn’t work, we opened the window as it was very hot, and someone tried to get in. My wife and daughter were in the room at the time.

This property is more like a motel. It is not good for international travelers or families. While the outside of the apartments look nice, do not be fooled, the inside is riddled with cleanliness issues. When we first arrived to the hotel, our taxi driver was asking us if we were even sure that we wanted to stay there, since it seemed sketchy. My mother came into our room and cleaned up after them and when we pulled out the couch cushion there was mold on it. We were supposed to stay five nights but left after the second night. If you don’t mind the cleanliness or just need a place to stay for one night, maybe this property is for you but I honestly would not recommend this to anyone.

The exterior door does not latch all the way, so anyone could walk in. The lobby area/ hall smelled... interesting and unfamiliar, in a bad way. Our suite was not clean; the master bed had stains on the mattress, along with what looked like black crumbs or seeds or something... the mattress pad and sheet were stained and there was a huge urine stain on the duvet cover as well. There were also stains on the curtains. The sofa bed had no sheets at all, so when I called the hotel to complain about the state of the master, I asked them to bring clean sheets for the sofa bed. The attendant remade the master bed, and left the sheets and duvet for the sofa bed- but when I made it up later, there was a urine stain on that as well! And another random, brown stain. And then, there were the spiders. I killed three before even talking to Expedia- and I'm not talking about the tiny little spiders that get into houses, I'm talking about large, bodies bigger than a US nickel sized spiders. Crawling down the second bedroom curtains, on the kitchen wall, in the bathroom, in the hall... my daughter took a nap when we first arrived in the second bedroom and got bitten up by something- looked like bedbug bites. They ended up moving us to the hotel, but that made things more expensive, as I now had to pay for each meal instead of cooking. Sorting this wasted the first two days of our trip- and no refund was given for the loss of our time or inconvenience.

The property was not ready for us to check in to at 4pm and all the kepted saying was we be 10 minutes , by 4.30 they were still cleaning to get this property to the standard it shoukd of been would of Taken atleast another 60 minutes we had dinner booked at 5.30 so we neeed to get ready this is not acceptable the apartment should of been spotlessly clean by 4pm There was poo on the toilet, the kitchen was stinking , the floor hadn’t been hovered no matter moped , outside was an exploded man whole with all human waste all over the walk way

Check in process was a little confusing. Had to walk 5 minutes to another hotel to register and collect the room key. There was an email outlining details, yet it wasnt too clear within the communication Room was extremely hot and unconfortable (due to heat) at night. Room was of a good size and had all amenities required. Bathroom was clean, though the waste bin was broken and previous occupants shower gel was still in shower

The property was perfect for where we wanted to be, the sofa bed in the lounge was so uncomfortable and used it needed replacing and bathroom needed cleaning more thoroughly.

Good location. Kingston is close by and so is Hampton Court Palace. Property good and clean. Our bed was getting a bit tired though, felt like we had a hill in the middle of the bed. Although we did not make use of much of the kitchen facilities it had enough to accommodate a good stay.

Collection of keys is a bit of a palaver having to go to the hotel first. Apartment was on the ground floor and on entry smelled quite badly of tobacco smoke, despite being a non-smoking building. Apartment is fine with two seperate bedrooms but generally it was a bit tired with drink splashes on the walls which could do with a good clean and redecorating. The WiFi to the apartment was not working at all during our stay so working was impossible and the tv connection to streaming services was terrible. Some guests arrived at half past midnight and were exceptionally noisy, talking hands free on a mobile outside our bedroom window and arguing between themselves on entry to the building. The beds are lumpy and exceptionally warm, poor synthetic mattresses. On checking out I was asked how our stay was so I reported the WiFi and was told I should have connected! I won’t be staying here again.

Property is on a main route and just on a corner with a stop light

Apartment was lovely looking. The bed was an absolute pile of crap. We couldnt sleep from the discomfort and both left with back pain. Took away the joy of being away.

When we arrived the apartment had no couch as shown in the photos. Then the TV did not work would not switch on this was reported to the number provided. On the evening the tower fan did not work so we were left with an inadequate desk fan which was full of dust! The bed was like sleeping on a water bed ! We sent a what’s app message to the number provided and after 1hr we had not had a reply so we followed it up with a phone call. We also reported that the bathroom bin had no lid, the toilet brush was all rusty and all the skirting boards were full of dust. When we returned from our day out they had replaced the fan got the tv working and replaced the bathroom bin and toilet brush. We felt the room had not been used for a while and the furniture moved around as the bed was at a peculiar angle due to the removal of the couch! The doors were dirty and the curtains were hanging down. It was very unloved. There was 1 teaspoon and the hall/landing was very dirty with mud marks and the lift didn’t work. It looked like people were living there permanently . It took us 1 week to get our £200 deposit back from “pending” from the bank. We asked for compensation for the issues raised but we have not had a response. We don’t like leaving a bad review but we don’t think these premises are suitable. Would we recommend, definitely NOT.

Room wasn\'t ready on arrival, so we had to wait for it -- we were offered late check-out as compensation, but that wasn\'t any use to us. Overall the decor was a bit tired too -- I\'m not sure the "upscale" description is quite justified. That said, everything was clean, the beds were comfy and the staff were helpful.

No hot water in the bathroom! Not what I expect at this level. Checking in at Crowne Plaza down the road was odd. Taking a large damage deposit and then taking it again(!) and keeping hold of it for 7-10 days is extortionate and unacceptable.

We were at a wedding at Raven's Ait, and this was perfect for us. The apartments were very comfortable, a good size and well stocked, but we didn't spend much time in them. Nice bathroom.

The flat was fairly spacious and the bed was quite comfortable. The living room has a sofa bed, as well. Kitchen and living spaces were clean and tidy. The kitchen could have had more cooking equipment, considering it was a self-catering flat. For example, there was a pot but no colander! Local area was nice and people were friendly. Easy walk to several bus lines.

We booked this property for our trip to London while the property itself is refurbished. We did find out it used to be a refugee residence. It is extremely far away from London taking about an hour and a half through public transportation and in our plus through car or Uber just to get to the London area. There is very limited dining areas around the property but there are some options. It is important to note that there is absolutely no form of air conditioning and the small fans provided barely circulated any air causing us to leave the windows open and bugs to come in the first floor unit. We had also felt unsafe due to the fact that having the windows open allowed anyone walking by to be able to either stop and look or actually come into the unit. The back area of the apartment we were in was littered with garbage and definitely needed to be cleaned up. There is a beautiful section of the Thames River that you can rent boats and walk alongside overall. Unless you are planning to only visit the suburbs of London, I would not recommend staying as it is extremely expensive to get back to London and takes a ton of time

Good location for us do to family nearby. Local pubs within 10 minute walk. Portsmouth Rd is noisy from vehicular traffic.

Good property very clean, quite noisy though and the booking stated it was 4 miles from my destination but in reality it was closer to 8

The property is in a great location, just needs the car park at the back given some TLC. Next time we are down, will book again.

We booked two apartments for a family stay as we were attending the Hampton Court Palace Festival. The location was great (two mile walk or quick Uber ride) for the festival. The apartments were clean and we managed to get parking in the apartment car park. If we hadn't got free parking there was a public car park right opposite with loads of spaces so parking not an issue. Check in as at the Crown Plaza hotel just down the road so you need to factor that in to your plans but it wasn't a huge issue. You do have to provide a credit card for a large deposit though....hoping there won't be any issues with getting this back. The kitchen in the apartment was really well equipped, tea/coffee provided as well as all bed linens, towels, toilet roll etc. Was quiet at night and you just drop the keys in the keybox on check out. Would definitely stay again if we need to be in the Hampton Court area.
