Baymont by Wyndham Midland Center

The elevator was broken. Both my husband and I have mobility issues. At first they made it sound like we either go up stairs or find a different hotel, I was talking to my husband about finding a new hotel when the girl said she would check to see if they had something on the 1st floor, they did and we were checked in. The room was ok. The blanket had food stain from the previous people. Then it started to rain out and our window started leaking, a lot, we put towels down on the floor and the window sill. When we reported it in the morning nothing was written down and the lady said “It rained that hard last night?”

The elevator was out of service.

Elevator and stairwell was closed, this made it a long haul just to get to the room.

May not be your hotel's fault but driving back into and out of the building's location is a little treacherous with potholes.

The fire/safety door to the outside did not close properly. the elevator was broken. I did not eat the breakfast as it looked like it was put out early and no one touched it or changed it at all. The 'juice' was a powdered one of some kind.

They’re in the midst of a remodel, the materials laid in the hallway. The elevator was out when I got here and had to take the stairs and was full of trash all the way up the stairs and in the hallway on the second floor. It seems like you Would make the contractors clean up every day if you can have people stay on the floor, but besides that everybody was friendly and downstairs seem to be clean. And a little lady doing breakfast is doing a wonderful job.

The hotel was ok overall, but the location is not adequate for vehicles to drive on due to potholes and the gas station heavy trafffic area behind it.

Convenient for my needs, but front office staff was not very kind. To get to the hotel, it was like driving thru landmines, pot holes everywhere on the property.

The property was being renovated. The elevator was not working as it had just been "painted". I was given a third floor room despite there being no elevator. The hallway was filled with mattresses and doors leaning against the wall. When I arrived to my room, I found the door propped open with a trash can. Huge security issue! I will NEVER stay at this hotel again (I actually left and did not stay).

Repair equipment in the hall. No outdoor sign. Only access was through potholed drive around the back of a truck stop. Had to figure that on your own. Horribly thin walls. Noisy talking all night. Sink didn’t drain well. Towels were terrible, small and threadbare. Blanket was thin. Room heater worked sporadically. Total ripoff.

Obviously, lots of oil rig workers stay there and were very noisy and one of them even went knocking at my door at 10:30pm. I just called front desk, and the lady took care of problem. The person was looking for someone else staying at hotel. There is a layer of dirt under bed where you could tell they never sweep or mop under bed. The grounds around hotel were filled with trash and litter all around.

Couldnt sleep bc the odor of a chemical or new paint was horrible, also had black mold on ceiling of restroom as a person with chronic migraines, alleries that was not good!! And i have pictures

The hotel staff was nice. The breakfast looked basic. An E for effort. My room wasn’t worth a dime. The Tub was dingy along with the bed linen and towels ( good thing I bring my own.) The elevator was dirty and the 3rd floor button was broken and taped with paper tape. More tape to hold down a sign in the elevator… The sink in my room was clogged up. The bed linen smelled like cigarettes but appeared laundered, I guess? Also the dirty linen bags are cheap; dollar tree cheap.. Never staying there ever again.

I normally don’t complain or write reviews but this one is needed. This was the second time we have stayed at this property and I didn’t think it could get any worst from the year prior. The room felt dirty. The bathroom was dirty and there were eyelashes, hair, dirt, buildup on the wall in the shower. Definitely felt worst after my shower.

Staff was nice but the hotel was not as reviews advertised. Light fixture onllin my bathroom was falling iff. Light bulbs on certain lamps not working. Mold or mildew on showerheads. The whole hotels smell smelt like the carpets were cleaned then never dried properly. My room smelt very bad almost like a bad septic system and the room next to me stunk up the hallway with weed. Alot of breakfast available but very under par. I paid 180$ and it DEFINITELY wasn't worth the pice. Best thunk was truck parking and friendly staff.

The hotel was very quiet, lots of parking. Staff was great. Carpet in room was disgusting. Shower and bathroom fixtures were very old and cruddy. As a place to sleep, it was fine. But the skeezy carpet and funky showerhead and tile is a no go for me.

The room was clean and comfortable. Simple but adequate. The coffee was good, and breakfast wasn't great, but okay at this price point.

The bed pillows were most uncomfortable. There were 4 pillows each measuring about 10” square.

Room was cool and clean. The mattress was amazing. The tiny square pillows aren't my favorite, but they were comfortable. The shower had amazing water pressure and was crazy hot. The staff was wonderful, and is the reason we consistently stick with tbis chain of hotels when we travel.

We were in town for my grandson football tournament and we chose to stay here. The stay was good, but definitely thin walls for sure. You could hear everything from the other room. Breakfast wasn’t good at all on Saturday, so we went to grab something. We had read reviews that breakfast was good so I chose to stay here to help cut the cost of food, but it wasn’t good at all.

My room had a clog in the shower that was not fixed. But I was moved rooms eventually. All in all the rooms were not dirty or had any bugs. That’s a relief, but it was dated and honestly didn’t give a safe vibe. Very affordable though.

We booked a King size room and checked in at about 3:45pm. We were in town because our grandson is in varsity baseball playoffs so we didn’t check out the room or amenities. After the game we returned and tried to turn on the TV and it did not work. So I went down to the desk and they moved us to a room with double beds because they said they didn’t have any more king size rooms, however, there were not a lot of cars in the parking lot so we didn’t believe that was correct. We have stayed at this hotel before and had an issue, but never again.

-TV/cable only worked in 3-4 minute increments the entire 4 day stay. Message kept saying contact front desk if no inclement weather. There was NO inclement weather throughout our stay, including no windy days. Front desk tried to say it was due to wind. We could have heard or felt wind! Also, wind was “mild” according to weather forecast. -We had very poor cell service while on this side of town. We have been staying in hotels all over Midland for 7 years and never had this issue until we stayed in this area -No antibacterial wipes of any kind in the gym. -Elevator was broken. Had to use the stairs. This would obviously be an issue for someone who is disabled. Not sure how long it had been out of order prior to our stay. -Breakfast was one of the weakest complimentary breakfasts we have ever had at any Midland hotel. I suppose you get what you pay for. -Shower curtain was poorly hung. It was hung at an angle and would not stay closed properly (kept sliding down).

Room was clean. Wayer pressure was good. A/C worked well.

Door lock was broken/missing. Table was wobbly and felt like it could fall over at anytime. Bathroom vent was missing the cover and full of dust.

At check in, Elizabeth was extremely friendly and helpful.

When I tried to check in i have to wait because there was no one there on the desk for like 20 minutes the elevator didn't work

I booked a room for my brother, who was driving into town for work. When he arrived to check in at 7:00 PM, he was told he *had no reservation*. I had booked and prepaid for the room two days earlier, so I immediately sent over the confirmation details—still nothing. I contacted Hotels.com, and after they called the property, we learned what actually happened: the hotel **confirmed the room at 4:30 PM and then CANCELLED it at 5:35 PM the same day**. And no one bothered to call us. Instead, they sent an email that went straight to junk. They overbooked, canceled the reservation *after* confirming it, and provided zero help in finding another Wyndham location. After three unanswered calls to the owner, I’m warning others: **do NOT stay here**. It’s simply not worth the hassle.

The room was clean but felt like it definitely needed some maintenance. The guy at check in was asleep at the front desk and appeared dirty and not appropriate for the job.

Erica who works in the front is very rude and lazy! Does not like to get up from her chair to get things for paying customers. Likes to argue and pretty much hates her job! Hope she can find something that she actually likes. A formal complaint was filed! Only bad part of the trip was the employee Erica! Also if that was my business I would never want someone like Erica working for me giving out bad impressions for the company!

Our stay was horrible. The staff was terrible. When I got there, I stood there for 5 to 10 minutes while the front desk girl was on her cell phone and when I finally spoke up, she didn’t even look up at me. She just started punching numbers in her computer. The whole staff had terrible faces like they hated their jobs. At breakfast there was never any coffee cups, and when the food finished from the trays, they were not refilled with anything so there was a lot of people waiting for breakfast. Our room had broken labs none of the outlets work but at least it was clean. You really need to take more pride in your property and higher better staff that really love their job instead of these lazy people that you have working there

The room was nice other than finding a lizard in there. The lady at the front desk was great though, she got me a different room right away!

I was told I could have a late check out at noon after checking in at 4:15am and instead was basically forced out by housekeeping at 11am.

Great experience able to check in and out with ease.

The room and the staff were very good. The room was clean and comfortable! The area around the hotel was dirty, many questionable people hanging around and very difficult to get in and out of the property with a very busy truck stop nextdoor.

Easy access from the interstate

Although it was a bit far from where i thought it was located i had a great night stay, clean, quiet and speedy check in for me after driving 7.5hrs to get there. Only thing i wish was check in time was earlier. Only thing i would change but i definitely will choose this location again.

Location is good, Lobby area looks decent nice couches, reception was professional, Water, drinks and snacks were cheap and affordable. Room is functionally ok, internet speed was basic to slow, Coffee pods available in room. Torn Bedsheet, tiny bath soap not replenished for 2nd day, bare bones Breakfast, no Juice since broken, extremely bare food, bad basic coffee although dispenser available 24x7

Hotels dot com called this a "3 star" hotel, but it clearly is NOT. It is a poor match for most of the "2 star" rated hotels. The guest room showed age-wear effects, but it was quite clean and comfortable. The bed was firm and comfortable, and my wife and I appreciated that feature. The exterior door near our 1st floor room was out of order making moving in and out a little harder than comfortable. The breakfast was a complete disaster! Not only were most of the appliances out of order due to an overloaded breaker, making all the "hot" food, except for the pancakes, ice cold, but the food selections in every category were more limited than most free breakfasts in hotels of this class (2 star). There could have been a sign in the breakfast area telling about the breaker outage and the staff's recommended work-around, but the only way we found out was to go to the front desk and register an official complaint about the breakfast disaster. THEN, we were told about the breaker and given the suggestion of taking the food to our room, where we had a free-use microwave oven. Okay, I could understand and cooperate with that, but I doubt if the problem will be solved soon, as the desk manager said she would have her husband try to fix the breaker failure caused by a new, bigger pancake cooker. He was said not to be an electrician.

Where do I begin? Bed mattress was okay but pillows were the worst I've ever had to use. No usb ports provided on lamps or desk. No extra TP for bathroom and the complimentary breakfast area ran out of food. No bread/bagels, no fruit and no juice. Felt lucky to even have a little coffee. Never again will I stay here.

The TV didn’t work the towels were so small you could not wrap them around yourself. The morning breakfast half of the machines were inop. Overall poor
