We had an amazing stay here this weekend with our teenage children. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and very spacious. Food was great and service impeccable. Neil was so welcoming and helpful. Amazing to have 3 EV chargers on site too. We stayed here and travelled on to Anfield, it was perfect. Thank you to all the team! Andrea

Staff are always polite and helpful even calling you if you are running late to see if you are still coming. Rooms are good although older winows do let in a little draft so putting heating on before ypu arrive in winter would be a nice touch. Easy to park very quiet and always a great menu. I have brought so many colleagues and business folk here simply for the menu

Amazing find. Good value and good sized rooms. Good quality linen and very comfortable bed. Lovely complimentary toiletries. Outdoor seating and plenty of parking. Food excellent, staff friendly and very helpful. Great service from check in to leaving. Will definitely be back when we next visit family in the north west.

Great hotel with comfortable, clean and well appointed rooms. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Food choice and quality, excellent. Great selection of draft beers & lagers. Bar, lounge and outside areas provide plenty of choice for relaxing.

Property is in a lovely convenient spot and is nicely presented. Food in the pub is very good with an excellent menu. Great decor in the bedrooms with ginormous beds. Loved the bathroom underfloor heating and rainforest shower head. Nice refreshments in the room and teapot teabags too! Very dog friendly . We had a couple of hiccups though - service at breakfast was very slow in the pub and some of the staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there. The beds were hard and unfortunately there was no third bed as requested but a mattress on the floor. They did discount our room slightly because of the mattress. I would stay here again and it’s a good choice for people taking their beloved pooch away.

Beautifully decorated, comfortable room and fully dog inclusive restaurant and accommodation but let down by an overpowering and revolting drainage smell from the bathroom. Disappointed to learn that this was a known situation affecting 3/4 rooms and we were advised that the manager would be in touch to explain when back on duty but that didn't happen. Shame as we thought we'd found a great place to stay with our dog on our regular trip to/from Scotland.

Warm welcome. The whole team there are so helpful and so cheerful. Nothing was to much for them, customer service first class and the rooms too. The room i had lovely and clean and had everything i needed for my stay. The food was excellent great choices and cooked to perfection. I had the perfect stay and will be going back again.

Clearly a nice place to stay. Good restaurant, spacious safe car park. Niggles were that the window (Rm3) didnt seal in the frame so massive cold draft into room (like the window might as well have been wide open) making room freezing. The bathroom stank badly of drains, which was then a pervasive smell into the bedroom. Teapot hadnt been emptied from previous guests. Shame, because We wanted it to be a good alternative to our current hotel in the area, but it didnt come up to scratch this time. May try again in the future, but will avoid delux room 3.....

It was a lot better than expected a nice quiet area near the motorway. Very clean and comfy room we had a much needed restful sleep. Underfloor heating in the shower room and a rainstorm shower bliss. The restaurant was well set out with quiet dining areas, and an excellent choice of meals and wine.

Excellent service from very friendly staff in a large comfortable room which suited us perfectly. It was very hot weather so a fan in the room wouldve been nice but we had our own so didnt ask. Overall it was a top notch visit and would definitely stay there again or recommend to others.

I stayed in The Partridge for 3 nights whilst on a business trip to the northwest. Location - Could not be better, just off the M56, close to the M6. Well signposted Accommodation - Beautifully appointed room with a firm but very comfortable bed and clean, crisp white linen. The shower room had a heated floor and a walk-in shower with an amazing rainfall shower head. The mirror remained perfectly clear which is a very welcome bonus when shaving after a hot shower. Food - I had 3 evening meals and two breakfasts. All of the meals were excellent with the Tandoori Chicken with Coronation Risotto particularly good (Probably the best dish I have had in a hotel in a long long time). Service - The room was mistakenly set up without towels and the staff could not have been more apologetic and helpful with towels provided in a matter of minutes. Bar and restaurant staff were very polite, efficient and friendly and cannot be faulted. The Partridge is part of the Timpson Group and the customer service ethics that one sees in the Timpson branches is not only matched but exceeded at The Partridge. I look forward to my next trip to the northwest.

Our room was very hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. There was an AC control panel on the wall but no AC unit! Even a fan in our room would’ve made a slight difference. I didn’t get much sleep at all. Other than that the room was beautiful and the food was excellent.

Lovely large comfortable cosy rooms with lots of extra touches. Super comfortable bed and great hot shower. Even though near a motorway did not hear a sound.Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely food. Would highly recommend and hope to return.

Staff really went all out - friendly and polite, happy and helpful. The bed was so amazing I didn’t want to get up. The rainfall shower was perfect, no other word, and the peels perfectly fluffy. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was great, once again staff were amazing and happy to accommodate us, finding is a quiet corner with our dog

Needed a place in this area for a quick overnight stop and booked the Partridge based on the reviews. The property was brilliant and helpful in advance when I called to arrange for three single beds in one room. On arrival the service was very welcoming and friendly. The room was fine with some nice touches but a bit odd being literally two steps from the pub area (with a very loud adjoining door) and also not ideal having a room designed for accessibility requirements in mind with all the extra fittings/ tiny sink/ no toilet lid/ no separate shower area etc without requesting that room. Overall very happy with the stay, friendly service and price. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is super and in a good location for discovering the lovely Cheshire countryside. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. It made a pleasant change for the room to have plenty of sockets for chargers etc. The beds were incredibly comfortable with quality bedding. The bathroom was great with an excellent, large walk in shower. Our only issue was traffic noise from the M56 however that may not bother many people. The restaurant had a varied menu choice and the food was good. The breakfast choice was excellent too. Highly recommend a stay at this superb, friendly country hotel/pub.

We had an amazing stay here this weekend with our teenage children. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and very spacious. Food was great and service impeccable. Neil was so welcoming and helpful. Amazing to have 3 EV chargers on site too. We stayed here and travelled on to Anfield, it was perfect. Thank you to all the team! Andrea

I stayed in The Partridge for 3 nights whilst on a business trip to the northwest. Location - Could not be better, just off the M56, close to the M6. Well signposted Accommodation - Beautifully appointed room with a firm but very comfortable bed and clean, crisp white linen. The shower room had a heated floor and a walk-in shower with an amazing rainfall shower head. The mirror remained perfectly clear which is a very welcome bonus when shaving after a hot shower. Food - I had 3 evening meals and two breakfasts. All of the meals were excellent with the Tandoori Chicken with Coronation Risotto particularly good (Probably the best dish I have had in a hotel in a long long time). Service - The room was mistakenly set up without towels and the staff could not have been more apologetic and helpful with towels provided in a matter of minutes. Bar and restaurant staff were very polite, efficient and friendly and cannot be faulted. The Partridge is part of the Timpson Group and the customer service ethics that one sees in the Timpson branches is not only matched but exceeded at The Partridge. I look forward to my next trip to the northwest.

Lovely large comfortable cosy rooms with lots of extra touches. Super comfortable bed and great hot shower. Even though near a motorway did not hear a sound.Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely food. Would highly recommend and hope to return.

Probably not a fair reflection as the two nights I stayed there was no hot water available as the boiler had broken - which to be fair they did notify us about but only an hour before check-in which meant we couldn't find another hotel nearby. The room itself was lovely, the staff friendly and the food in the pub very good (pricey but good value as quality was good). The final morning was a little disappointing - ordered breakfast before heading to work and 20 mins later had to ask the waitress for an update - after going to the kitchen came back and said the kitchen had missed the order as they were in the freezer(!!). Nice touch would have been to refund everything but still charged for the coffee....little touches.

The hotel does not disappoint from the photos on the website. There were several teenagers working when we arrived but none of them knew what to do and it was very unorganised. We were not given any information on checking in, not even the checkout time so we assumed Expedia shows the correct information. We asked if we needed to book a table for dinner and we’re told it ‘should be ok as there were not busy at the moment’. We arrived at 5 so I would have expected they would offer to book us in regardless. The restaurant was busy but we did get a table so all was ok. The room was nice enough apart from the light by the bed was broken. The main reason we were not happy is the outside seating area very close to our room had speakers playing music. This was left on all night and meant we had very disturbed sleep. The manager apologised and reduced our room to £75 but due to some confusion, it came to light our payment of the higher amount of £120 had already been taken from our card on checking in which we were not aware of, we ended up paying twice which was very frustrating. We had to return to the hotel for a refund to be issued. This should have been checked before we were asked to pay.

Staff really went all out - friendly and polite, happy and helpful. The bed was so amazing I didn’t want to get up. The rainfall shower was perfect, no other word, and the peels perfectly fluffy. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was great, once again staff were amazing and happy to accommodate us, finding is a quiet corner with our dog

Firstly I will start by saying the staff in this hotel are possibly the nicest and most helpful bunch you could ask for, going out of their way to help with the questions we had. The room was comfortable, lovely and clean and it had a cvery osy vibe to it. We arrived at our booking around 9 and the manger even rang us about 8.45 to ask if we wanted to order anything to eat before the kitchen closed to make sure we had eaten. Breakfast in the morning was also of a high quality and very tasty.

Warm welcome. The whole team there are so helpful and so cheerful. Nothing was to much for them, customer service first class and the rooms too. The room i had lovely and clean and had everything i needed for my stay. The food was excellent great choices and cooked to perfection. I had the perfect stay and will be going back again.

Delightful in every respect. For us it’s a convenient stop off on our way up north to visit family, close to the motorway, easy to access with ample parking. The house and estate are stunning, so well maintained. The welcome is very friendly and efficient. We upgraded our room which turned out to be a bonus with its very pleasing decor and perfect facilities. A huge and comfortable bed in uniquely decorated surroundings amongst tasteful rustic fittings. Dinner was very enjoyable with great service and a simple but delicious menu. Breakfast, and in particular the full English was less special but still good and well worth staying for. We’ve stayed here a few times now and will continue to do so as it’s such a lovely part of our journey.

Lots of parking available, and very convenient to the M56, while at the same time feeling very rural. We look forward to returning next time we're in the area.

This lovely hotel/restaurant provided the perfect stopover for our journey from south to north. It is perfectly situated in delightful surroundings only a short journey from the M6, with all the facilities needed, provided to such high standards. The staff were very welcoming and efficient, the rooms clean and comfortable and we greatly enjoyed the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. We will definitely come back to the Partridge but next time maybe stay longer!

Will definitely be back, great staff all very friendly, room was so much better than you’d get in a chain hotel & the food was amazing! Location is perfect and it’s very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Excellent accommodation and food was very good. Staff friendly. It’s convenient for motorway stop or Arley Hall which we were visiting. Nowhere to walk around property though.

What a wonderful stay, lovely comfortable rooms with all the amenities you need. Really friendly staff, excellent food in the restaurant had evening meal (excellent shepherds pie)and breakfast. The partridge is just 16 mins from Manchester airport and 30 minutes from Liverpool fc

It was a lot better than expected a nice quiet area near the motorway. Very clean and comfy room we had a much needed restful sleep. Underfloor heating in the shower room and a rainstorm shower bliss. The restaurant was well set out with quiet dining areas, and an excellent choice of meals and wine.

The hotel is super and in a good location for discovering the lovely Cheshire countryside. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. It made a pleasant change for the room to have plenty of sockets for chargers etc. The beds were incredibly comfortable with quality bedding. The bathroom was great with an excellent, large walk in shower. Our only issue was traffic noise from the M56 however that may not bother many people. The restaurant had a varied menu choice and the food was good. The breakfast choice was excellent too. Highly recommend a stay at this superb, friendly country hotel/pub.

One night's stay at the Partridge for a wedding taking place nearby. Room was very spacious - and the bathroom even more so! Very comfortable bed. We asked to check out late the next day and was initially given an extra hour, but then weren't able to accommodate - so staff offered us free coffee in the dining area whilst we waited, which was a lovely gesture. We had dinner and breakfast here, which was excellent and portion sizes were generous.

Only 1 towel for a couple of us, the shampoo was left over from a previous guest. Service at breakfast, considering we were the first to arrive at the restaurant was poor, we were not allowed to sit at a table which had been prepared. The breakfast was not hot. Simply a very disappointing stay, not to be repeated.

Very enjoyable stay at a particularly comfortable pub hotel. The room and facilities were excellent and the bar and restaurant were just what we were looking for in our overnight stop. The restaurant food was varied and delicious and the service at dinner and breakfast was outstanding.

A lovely country pub, with fabulous rooms & great attentive service. However, the food was a big letdown…. Serving tepid food is not acceptable. My wife sent her fish & chips back as it was not hot. They replaced the dish apart from the fish, which they had reheated ! Hasten to say this was taken off the bill. All our desserts were also not hot enough.

The Partridge is my "go-to" hotel and restaurant in the North West. The location is perfect. The rooms are spotless, the beds very comfortable and the restaurant very very good. I cannot recommend highly enough

We arrived at The Partridge for a 2 day stop over to discover Chester. It was about a 30min drive from the centre of Chester. Conveniently situated just off the M56 with loads of parking. We walked into The Partridge and was immediately given a warm welcome by Neil but the dog was given even a warmer welcome. To sat they are pet friendly is an understatement. Check in was swift and we were taken to our room (9) The room was clean, lovely and spacious with a super comfortable super-king bed. Nice large shower room, smart tv in the room with lovely large blackout curtains. tea / coffee were topped up daily or just had to ask for more. We took breakfast and evening meal at The Partridge, food was good and there was a great choice. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. Given the proximity of the M56 even with room windows wide open road noise wasn't an issue. Thanks for a lovely stay.
We arrived at The Partridge for a 2 day stop over to discover Chester. It was about a 30min drive from the centre of Chester. Conveniently situated just off the M56 with loads of parking. We walked into The Partridge and was immediately given a warm welcome by Neil but the dog was given even a warmer welcome. To sat they are pet friendly is an understatement. Check in was swift and we were taken to our room (9) The room was clean, lovely and spacious with a super comfortable super-king bed. Nice large shower room, smart tv in the room with lovely large blackout curtains. tea / coffee were topped up daily or just had to ask for more. We took breakfast and evening meal at The Partridge, food was good and there was a great choice. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. Given the proximity of the M56 even with room windows wide open road noise wasn't an issue. Thanks for a lovely stay.
