Mermaid Inn

The Mermaid Inn is one of our favorite motels. The rooms are decorated with a Mermaid/nautical style with some retro appliances. Overall gives a very homey feeling. Rooms are very clean, staff is really friendly and helpful. Situated between a gas station/store and a Mexican restaurant you have access to fresh food and all the amenities you might have forgotten to pack. Like much of the Long Beach peninsula, the Mermaid is quiet and laid back...but still in walking distance to "downtown" and the beach if so inclined. You won't find a jacuzzi, gym or balcony view of the ocean here (those can be found elsewhere), but if you want clean, comfortable, convenient and quiet lodgings this is great place. A great place to explore all the cool, fun things to do in the area. Enjoy! ,

Welcoming and affordable. Staff was excellent and the coffee shop down the street was too!
