Convenient to the shore. No coffee available in room

The staff were very friendly and the room met all of our needs for this trip. Location is great and while we didn't need them, it's helpful they offer discounted beach badges and Boardwalk tickets. I do wish the wifi had been stronger. I think it was somewhat lacking.

1. Some AC no working 2. No Wi-Fi (so difficult to connection you need go out the room )

The only thing I would say add a small coffee pot. Very friendly staff and helpful. A little further from the boardwalk than we wanted but the shuttle service was key.

Horrible wifi,has to be upgraded better,my only downfall of facility. Other than that very good.

Stay was 3 days. Mo problems. Staff was efficient. The bathrooms can really use some updating. We enjoyed the pool. It was big enough that you could swim even though there were quite a few people using it. We would not hesitated to stay at The Atlantic Motel again

The stay was good, the staff was very nice. The only complaint I really have is that, there should be a way to notify staff that you want your room cleaned and clean towels and bedding, besides someone at random times knocking on your door or not at all, and the wifi needs to be password protected, right now its just open so anyone in the neighborhood can use it so it was way beyond slow. But yes I would stay there again.

The overall stay was good parking was very hard to find a spot and I often had to park on the other side of the parking lot rather than near my room bed was very hard staff was very good polite and respectful

Awesome proximity to beach, shuttle service was great and fast. Rooms were clean, well stocked and the AC and fan were great. The pool was clean and well maintained and had plenty of seating. Plenty of food options in walking distance. Person at check in and shuttle driver were such nice people.

Nice classic motel, parking was a little tight and signage from the main road was a little sparse. Additional lighting on the drive in entrance may solve some of that as it is a small entrance. Bed was very comfortable. A/C - heat worked great.

This was my second time staying here this yr. The 1st time no issues but this time not so lucky. There was human hair in the refrigerator, there was some kind of white stuff on one of the beds and on floor as well as dark hair on floor, there were no sheets on the pull out couch just a stained mattress topper, stains on sheets . Looked like there were a few people living at this place this time as well. Very displeased with the stay this time. Not sure if I will go back.

I’ve never left a negative comment because I don’t want to be “that” person… BUT… Of course a stay so close to the beach in the summer will be expensive, but this motel did not meet our low expectations. The beds were very uncomfortable, the air conditioner barely worked, and the smell in the room was horrific. It smelled like mold, mildew, rotting seaweed, and body odor. My husband was in the Navy and worked on a submarine and said the shower at this motel was even smaller than those on a sub. Again, we always have low expectations for motels and we can live with things being outdated… but between the beds, shower, and SMELL- it was a shame we spent over $300 a night there. Positives: The woman at the desk was very kind and the check-in process was very easy. It is only about a 10-12 minute walk to the boardwalk, which was convenient.

Nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Seems like the room was redone recently. Nice clean carpet. Bathroom clean and nice fixtures.

We had blood on our sheets, the pillow and mattress cover when we got ready for bed the first night, and what appeared to be semin all over the comforter! When I called the front desk I was told they would “leave a note.” I insisted that the property mgr or Supv be contacted and to have clean linens brought and changed. Fortunately someone came, she never apologized or said a word to us. The young man from the front office however came to our room and offered his apologies and a small refund. I personally thought a full refund would have been more appropriate. However I was too tired and just went to sleep. I will not return or recommend this hotel.

The room I was given smelled horribly of weed. I complained and was moved to a different room which smelled better. But why does a room smell like weed in a non smoking property ugh.

I have stayed multiple times and the last time I stayed I was very disappointed in how the young girl at the front desk handled the situation. Instead of suggesting to call a manager she just apologized. I even waited for other guest to leave the office before I spoke. The AC turns on and off at night I woke up with strange sounds I didn’t even want to get out of bed because I was scared to look down. However, I looked over at the AC I saw 2-3 mice in the AC vent that was turned off. I walked out. I’m not asking for a full refund but was disappointed how they handled the situation

So I booked this a room rooms month in advance. Ratings looked good when we got there everything seem to be fine the night time came my daughter was sleeping and I go in the bathroom and there’s cockroaches so I tried to call the front desk nobody was there because it was 11 o’clock at night so I tried to call the number that goes with the building. I get an answering machine with a gentleman‘s voice on it saying if you don’t have to leave a message don’t because I don’t know if I feel like answering it like what kind of answering machine is that . Anyway when I told the woman in the morning, what it happened, she said, well these things happen.. but if we were there, we would’ve switched your room for you I was said to her well that’s what I was hoping for at least but nobody was there so I paid $177 for a room for one night and I had to share it with the pests … no thanks

The room smelled like cigarette smoke and should never have been rented out until it was fully cleaned and fumigated.

The room was incredible. Absolutely loved the cottage feel it has. Perfect pillows for once and extremely quiet. My only wish was that the towels were a bit thicker and an extra blankets would have been in a drawer. Would definitely come back if back in NJ.

Typical Jersey Shore motel that has by updated and very well maintained. Rooms were clean and appeared to be recently renovated. Close to beach and walking distance to several restaurants.

Location is great. However, the rooms are a little outdated and ours had a ton of flies inside.

Room was clean but small. Bare bones.

Positives- seemed clean, mini fridge and microwave in room. Decent size room. Negatives- very uncomfortable bed. Room was freezing. 62 degrees and with 3 thermostats in the room none of them worked. Possibly just for the room was broken I’m not sure. But I was freezing through the night. Wasn’t comfortable asking the man in the office about it.

The Atlantic Motel is your typical old motel. The room was small but adequate. there was a frig and microwave so that was convenient. Thw walls are very thin so lots of noise from neighbors. especially the upstairs guests. the ned was not very comfortable. again adequate. The office staff were very nice as was the maid service. Plenty of parking and walkable to the beach and boardwalk. Nothing fancy but similar to many of the surrounding motels.

Hotel is very old. The room we had had a floor that was not level. You pretty much needed had rails to safely walk around

The staff was very friendly, property was very clean. They are very honest too. My son forgot his gift card in the hotel. It wasn’t a lot of money worth. I honestly thought it wasn’t going to be there and wasn’t going to go back. They actually called and said they found it in the room and held it at the front desk for us to go get it. I would definitely stay there again. Also if you’re apart of the beach soccer tournaments this is really close to the beach to get there. I would definitely stay again.

I called 3 weeks ago and asked to speak to manager, the woman who answered the phone, asked why? I told her my husband and I have reservations and will have to leave a day early, for a, Celebration of Life. I was told to speak to Andrew the owner, he is only there in morning. I called 2 more times left messages, he never called back. Upon check in we did not get the room, we requested in February, when my card was charged. When I was checking out a day early, I went in office asked to speak to Andrew, he came in office with big attitude, I told him why we were leaving early and if there was anything he could do for us? He raised his voice and said NO, not their policy. And they have best policy in Point Pleasant. I said ok, then I will put this conversation in my review. Then he said I was trying to extort using a review. I said absolutely not! Just being open. The office is illiterate,you can see on how she filled out parking pass. Also you, Can not put clothes in dresser, it is either dirty or moldy. Not enough maids to clean all the rooms,understaffed. He was yelling at me he was putting me on his “LIST”! He should have offered another night,after Labor Day, and maybe people would do a 3 day weekend. I wouldn’t have because of what I saw. And how I was threatened and I’m on some “list”. But he does not know, anything about customer service!!!

The night staff was very friendly and polite and customer friendly. The day side was horrible. The woman in charge was rude and very disrespectful. Wanted to make me change rooms on a multi night stay. Instead of asking me nicely to change rooms she came banging on the door like a madwoman at 1101. I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE to stay this motel. Unless the woman in the day time is gone!!! Too much money for the abuse at a motel!!!

Very easy check in and out close to everything squeaky clean great beds pillows and towels

First arrived and the front desk clerk was rude off the bat and said the room isnt ready. Had to wait an additional hour and walked in and checked the status and he says I thought I called you. Lied to my face and said oh yeah room is ready. It was ready the entire time, never saw cleaning service enter that room while waiting, he was just being very uncooperative. Would never stay here again, the whole experience being checked in was so terrible. Spend all this money and the staff are just rude. The beds were so uncomfortable felt like sleeping on cardboard and the pool had so much algae on the bottom. Should of listened to prior reviews, and was a 20 min walk to the boardwalk.

Room was not ready when we arrived. The owner personally walk to check to see if another room was ready, of which it was. Also, I got sick while on my stay there. One of the staff members (Mike) was kind enough to go to CVS to get me medicine. This place is the best.

Our stay was fine until the morning. My girlfriend called down nice and early(on my cell phone since the landline in the room wasn’t plugged in and was just for show apparently) and asked for an extended check out(just by one hour from 11 to noon) was told yes no problem. Then at 10:45, housekeeping banged on the door and just started walking in almost immediately without giving me a moment to get out of bed, even after I called out “just a moment!” The woman who was at the door who I assume worked for housekeeping was incredibly rude, telling me there was no way I had a late check out. She then proceeded to call down to the front desk, who told her that I didn’t request or get a late check out approved. I was shocked at the audacity of everyone to be honest. Was an unfortunate beginning to my day, as well as terrible and lasting first impression of the Atlantic Motel. I go to Point Pleasant every year and I will most definitely never book another room at the Atlantic Motel after this experience.

I left for a day-long conference at approximately 7:45am and returned at 4:30pm to find the door to my room open. I had secured and checked the door before leaving as I always do. I first needed to check that no intruder was in the room, and then took twenty minutes to ascertain what, if anything, had been taken. Luckily, nothing was missing. I immediately made my way to the office only to find no managers were on site as they had left for the day. I gave my contact information to the employee working the desk and asked that someone call me immediately. No calls and nobody coming to my room to check what had happened. The next day after being at a conference all day with no phone call, I went to the office at the end of the day (24 hours later) and talked to the manager (Amanda), who was very polite and helpful. I ended up talking to the owner who refused to compensate or offer any type of future discount. He explained, "I\'m sorry, but this happens." He then tried to lay blame on me by charging that I somehow didn\'t shut the door properly. I explained to him, "No sir. Housekeeping came in and cleaned the bathroom as evidenced by the new towels and garbage being removed." His only retort was, "Well, we are better than the average resort here at the Jersey Shore." No sir you are NOT! COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT YOUR OWN PERIL!

THE STAFF WAS SO SWEET, AFTER WE CHECKED OUT, THEY ALLOWED US TO USE THE POOL AND LEAVE OUR CAR IN THE PARKING LOT. WILL SURELY BE BACK!

Clean and convenient to restaurants and boardwalk

Lots of resturants in walking distance beach was more like a 15 min walk. There a paid lot and meter parking close to beach and a shuttle available from hotel. I didnt use it so not sure the hours

Stayed one night for a wedding near by. Quiet and clean. It’s about a 20 min walk to the train station and 20 mins walk to the beach. There are a few restaurants close by too.

The rooms are clean, parking is free and location is convenient. We had a view of the bay from our deck and my husband was fascinated watching the boats unloading their catch onto the trucks. This is not a negative because I could also close the slider from the deck and not hear a thing. It was a quick visit and we would definitely come here again.

This is a cute little motel at a great price in the middle of much higher rates. Room was fine, had a little balcony on second floor room. Great little breakfast place across the street

No complaints! Room was very clean. Nothing fancy, but did the job. Great location! Good dining options in walking distance. Can walk to the beach also.

Very good value. Nice room. Comfortable bed. Clean. Only negative is that there was no coffee pot in the room.

I didn't like the fact that a bottle of drinking water was unavailable. Also, there was no ice machine. The woman at the desk told me to go to the 7-11 two blocks away. I also missed having a clock in the room. People were chatting outside our door late into the evening.

We've stayed here before, so we knew what to expect. We come for the pool and the convenient location. Last time, we had a balcony but the room was a bit old. This time, no balcony but a renovated room with comfy beds. The motel has no coffee, but there's a friendly cafe across the street and it's a short walk to some great seafood places wharfside.

Requested ground floor poolside. I was told by the property no king rooms were on the ground level and they would get me as close to the pool as possible. My room was located as far away from the pool as you could get. The room was non smoking , however every neighbor beside us were outside partying and smoking. Had to purchase breakfast even thought I thought it was included! There was not even a coffee maker in the room!
