Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of expectations, and I would not recommend this property nor the affiliated SelvaTours operator to other travellers. 🏨 Hotel — On Vacation Amazon What initially appeared to be a jungle escape quickly became an uncomfortable and frustrating stay. Key issues encountered: • Misleading package & food situation Our booking ($341.87 AUD, double standard room, incl. breakfast and transfers) did not make it clear that you must purchase a full-meal package or pay inflated restaurant prices once onsite. The hotel is isolated — approximately one hour from Leticia’s port — with no alternative dining options. Once you arrive, you are effectively captive. • Aggressive upselling & membership pitch Upon arrival, guests are subjected to an hour-long sales session for a USD $5,300 hotel “membership”. It set an uncomfortable tone and felt highly inappropriate for a hospitality environment. • Poor room infrastructure & comfort • Air-conditioning only available 8pm–5:30am and only upon request, often with a 20-30 minute wait • Bats in the room, including one flapping around while we tried to rest and others trapped in the walls • Rooms constructed of thin timber planks with no sound insulation — early-rising guests and loud TVs/music from 4am made rest impossible • Room odour likely from humidity and wildlife presence • Cleanliness passable but certai
