Charnock Farm

We use Charnock farm often, as a local business for new starters who come here for an induction. Each time they say it's a lovely place. Never had any complaints.

The rooms were clean and bright and the bar and restaurant facilities good. My only comment would be the size of the bathroom towels - very small - otherwise everything was very good

on a positive note it was a lovely little pod by the lake, there was a great pub, lots of space but there was no toilet in the room. this wasn’t made clear at booking. there was a “toilet block” that needed a lot of TLC but it was quite a way from the pod we were assigned and a large bush in the pathway to it, so not suitable for overnight use. there were cobwebs in the room , ants and and dragon flies but we were in the open so probably expected. we checked out within half an hour, the venue said they couldn’t offer refund at that moment, still waiting to hear back from management

We had a horrible night here last night, we stayed in room 1 and were told that there was a wedding on that night, which was fine. However at 12.30 am adults and children running down the corridor whilst we were sleeping was not acceptable and then someone else at 3 am was knocking constantly on doors and then again at 4 am! It's fair to say we hardly slept. The TV kept turning itself on throughout the night, the wi fi did not work, the light in the bathroom stopped working in the middle of the night and we had to shower this morning in the dark. The coffee cups were dirty and had coffee stained rings, the pillows had stains on them, overall a horrendous stay. We also had to ask for toilet roll as only half a roll was left.
