We had a great stay! Stopped here on our way to some state parks and the location is awesome. We checked out Otto's bookstore and there's a cute coffee shop nearby. The building is so so cool. It's really fun to explore. I think the only thing I would suggest is more coffee machines or a bigger Keurig? Sharing one small Keurig across many rooms (10?) that fits about 2 mugs of water resulted in a pretty funny line of guests shuffling the water reservoir around and trying to get a brew in morning. This is a minor complaint. I think next time we'll go to the coffee shop down the road instead! Here's hoping we make it back!

We truly enjoyed staying at the City Hall Grand Hotel. The hotel is unlike any hotel we’ve stayed at. From the moment you enter the building you know you’re somewhere special. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Our room (suite) was so cool. From the exposed brick walls to metal ceiling and the in room shower! It was all very unique and special. Bed was huge and comfortable. The on premise restaurant “The Newsroom” was excellent. Juan, the chef greeted us as we came in and our server treated us like were VIPs. The patio out back was great and had amazing live music. The entire experience at the hotel was great. Staff and accommodations are wonderful.

I stopped one night in Williamsport as part of a longer trip and noticed the City Hall Grand Hotel online. I LOVE unique hotels and so decided to give it a try. End result: Whenever I'm back in town, this is where I'll stay. It's probably not for everyone, especially if you like on-site staff and over-the-top amenities. But if you like simple quiet and comfortable pleasure, as I do, you'd love this place. They sent me an entry code before I arrived and once I'd figured out which door to enter, I was in love. Rode up the small elevator to the third floor, where there was a HUGE commons area with coffee and other snacks. Since it was a Tuesday, there weren't many other people there, which made it even more quiet and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable, the television had all the channels anyone could want (and was easy to figure out), and the shower was a dream. The restaurant is not open on Tuesdays, but it's an easy 800-foot walk to downtown restaurants, including my favorite, the Bullfrog Brewery. Parking was free and easily accessible.

A great place to stay. Attentive staff. Clean and comfy rooms. I would recommend letting people know that there is a door with a ramp so that folks don't have to trek up the front stairs with their luggage. And also have signage around the walls from that area to the elevator. And from the restaurant to the elevator. One can get lost down there but staff was helpful! Love our stay!

Ran out of hot water and the heater didn't work or needed cleaned had to park down the street couldn't park at the hotel because everyone parked there that was at the restaurant or somewhere

They place is awesome. Our room was unique, in a good way. It was modern with a rustic historic feel. The room was way clean and just right for what we needed. The walls were a little thin and we could hear the neighbors but it didn’t take away from the experience. Parking is limited but we didn’t have a problem overall. The housekeeping staff were way nice and the overall experience was amazing. Highly recommend!

Very clean and comfortable. I liked the communal spaces and kitchen. Very convenient to have the restaurant in the lower level. Only critique is that the rooms are not very soundproof, so we could hear our neighbors pretty clearly.

Room was different, very cool industrial feel, bathroom floor had stains, showers was unique (no doors) drained onto wood floors. Town shuts down at 9, little spooky how quiet it was on a wknd night. Bed was so/so, would go back and hopefully get to spend more time during the day in Williamsport.

Beautiful building- room was unique. Cleaning staff left rags & some items unclean when we got there (dirty Kleenex on night stand} & air conditioning on full blast so it was very cold & took 4 hours to heat the room up to 68 degrees. We didn't like the lack of privacy in our room. Not having a door or screen to the bathroom didn't work well for us (adult mother & daughter). The shower & toilet being fully open to the rest of the room was weird & we would not stay there again for that reason.

Great experience. The former City Hall was converted into a hotel and the transformation is stunning. Located in the center of the town, the rooms were very spacious and uniquely appointed with historic artefacts, a super comfy bed and one of a kind furniture. Very clean and friendly staff made us feel welcome and I'd be happy to stay there again.

Cool hotel in the old City Hall. Good location downtown, but area is more or less ”dead” after 5. Read the notes carefully before booking. I didnt, and ended up in a room with no windows! Other solutions such as no door to shower and a ”primitive” sliding door to toilet are questionable. No staff on site is fine until something goes wrong. I had a payment problem that was later solved, but for a moment that caused some concern that would nerver have happened if somebody would have been on site.

The room I stayed in was room 305. The shower, toilet, and sink are all in the bedroom with no door. The toilet is behind a partial wall directly next to the bed, but there's no door, and the sink is across the room from the toilet. The shower is the first thing you see when you walk in, again with no door or barrier. If you're staying in the room with someone, hopefully the two of you are very comfortable sharing each other's space in every way. The hotel was also very noisy with no sound-proofing. The doors in the hallway bang very loudly, and you can hear everything in the next room, and I mean everything. There are also no staff at the hotel except the housekeeping folks. There's no front desk or lobby, so if you need something like extra toilet paper or a clean towel, you're out of luck. The aesthetic is cool, and it's very centrally located. But I would not stay there again, I'm sorry to say.

Very clean and stylish room. Great, solid renovation. Did not get door code sent for arrival (not a check in desk). Called the number on the door and someone answered and gave us the code. Close to restaurants and very quiet. AC is loud, but this seems every hotel room. Use earplugs. Futon is not very comfortable but the beds are. Not sure how you access this building if disabled. Has steps to front door.

The hotel is gorgeous and the staff were all absolutely incredible: helpful, kind, friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return. Four stars instead of five is because there really isn’t WiFi as it’s an old building. The shower pressure was low, making it a long shower to wash thick hair.

The property was beautiful! The staff was very accommodating and able to take care of any requests immediately even without a proper front desk. Very walkable to nearby restaurants and clean rooms and a very affordable cost. Highly recommend staying here at the City Hall Grand Hotel.

This was definitely a unique property Well done, the rooms are very well done The one issue we had was a very loud couple in the room above us, kept us up until 3:30 am No fault of the hotel Also tried to email the hotel prior to arrival No response from them All in all a unique stay

I stopped one night in Williamsport as part of a longer trip and noticed the City Hall Grand Hotel online. I LOVE unique hotels and so decided to give it a try. But if you like simple quiet and comfortable pleasure, as I do, you'd love this place. They sent me an entry code before I arrived and once I'd figured out which door to enter, I was in love. Rode up the small elevator to the third floor, where there was a HUGE commons area with coffee and other snacks. Since it was a Tuesday, there weren't many other people there, which made it even more quiet and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable, the television had all the channels anyone could want (and was easy to figure out), and the shower was a dream. The restaurant is not open on Tuesdays, but it's an easy 800-foot walk to downtown restaurants, including my favorite, the Bullfrog Brewery. Parking was free and easily accessible.

Awesome stay! First the staff is excelllent. Very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are amazing. Each one being unique given this was once City Hall in Williamsport. Highly recommended.

BEWARE THERE IS NO STAFF AT THE HOTEL!!! No front desk or check in. Just tapped paper to walls with directions how to access your room. I didn’t notice that mentioned in the hotel description. I tried to cancel the minute we stepped in the abandoned looking building. The pictures of the property are definitely embellished. One upside is the room seemed clean. Beds, pillows blankets were terrible. The gym is awful. There is a bench press with no weights. I absolutely felt unsafe staying here with my kids. We were here to tour Lycoming College. I would not recommend this hotel or come back.

Always an amazing and unique stay. Had an issue onsite with my neighbor snoring so loudly at 8pm it was really distracting. Messaged the staff and was in a new (quiet) room within 20 minutes, very professional and caring to me as a guest. Cannot say enough good things about the City Hall Grand Hotel in Williamsport.

Not like a “normal “ hotel with a lobby and lots of people around. You pretty much don’t see anyone. No on-site staff but available should a problem arise. Really cool old building with great detail. Rooms are awesome! Place was immaculately clean. Walking distance to great restaurants and bars. Off-street parking on site with short walk to hotel entrance.

We came in for the Little League World Series. We had an excellent time. The hotel is top notch. 1 block off the downtown strip. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We Door Dashed 2 nights. Delivery within 30 minutes. There were plenty of food options from which to select. On a great note, we met the owner, Sandy and her staff. Very hospitable and welcoming. Offered there services for anything we needed. We will be coming back to the City Hall Hotel on our next visit to Williamsport. The hotel is 2 miles from Howard J. Lamade stadium. Mike from Texas

We truly enjoyed staying at the City Hall Grand Hotel. The hotel is unlike any hotel we’ve stayed at. From the moment you enter the building you know you’re somewhere special. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Our room (suite) was so cool. From the exposed brick walls to metal ceiling and the in room shower! It was all very unique and special. Bed was huge and comfortable. The on premise restaurant “The Newsroom” was excellent. Juan, the chef greeted us as we came in and our server treated us like were VIPs. The patio out back was great and had amazing live music. The entire experience at the hotel was great. Staff and accommodations are wonderful.

This unique property is close to dining as well as having Boom City Restaurant in the building. There is no front desk, but there is no need. Keypads in and out of building as well as your personal room. I can't say enough about City Hall Grand Hotel.

Pros: The property is unique as renovated Old City Hall. The rooms are large and with unique features. Access was by code. Cons: We were told there was a restaurant, however not told it was not open for breakfast. There was a breakfast nook in the room, but we had not planned to make our own. The room heater above the ceiling was very loud turning on and off all night. There is no staff at the hotel to assist with luggage or replacing items. Overall the property is great, and a change from the usual. However, some minor adjustments would make it better.

I loved how unique this property was! It had so much character. I stayed in room 205 (Council Room). It was beautifully decorated! It was quiet other than the church bells…but they can’t help that. And to be honest, I didn’t hear them at night (maybe they don’t ring then). There is no staff on site, but I was sent everything I needed ahead of time. There is free parking onsite. I didn’t make it down to see the gym. The “lobby” is located on the 3rd floor, and they have an ice machine, Keurig, vending machine, and wine glasses. It is in a great location as you can easily walk to all of the shops and restaurants. I even walked down Millionaire’s Row to see all of the old Victorian style house and mansions from the towns heyday. I would absolutely stay here again!
