It was really good and friendly little hotel in town 13 euros by taxi from airport , breakfast served in person , access to kitchen for free tea and coffee 24 h and fridge with cold drinks x ice cream with honesty box . Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. As we had to leave very early , they prepared a sandwich and cake for us in advance. We walked everywhere and it’s very convenient . Just behind sushimundo square with the giant electric Christmas tree . Will definitively recommend .

Sehr freundliches Personal. Zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Kleines aber feines Hotel. Am Abend Selbstbedienung mit einer Kasse möglich. Den Wein konnte man so auf der Dachterasse hervorragend geniessen.

Would have loved the Lemon Tree if we weren’t a 75 year old couple. The room was very small but comfortable and we missed an elevator. On the pluses it’s in a great location, kind of an upscale hostel feel with nice rooftop area to enjoy a drink.

The property is wonderful. The staff are kind and considerate even for grumpy travellers. The big draw back is if you book with Expedia do NOT book the paid parking as there is free parking available near the site.

Quite quirky but charming. Very helpful staff. Central but not in a noisy area of town. Some rooms have only a frosted glass screen between bedroom and bathroom, which I guess some guests might find a little too intimate. The shared kitchen is available to use, except at breakfast, so you can make drinks etc. The big fridge for drinks etc was awaiting repair - hopefully fixed by now.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good, the place had a lot of charm and it's within easy walking distance from the town center as well as the free parking lot (if you have a car).

Lemon Tree Stay is beautiful. We had the top floor room with our own private balcony as well as access to the communal balcony. There is a lemon tree and a flowering bush in the coutyard that smells amazing at night. Breakfast was vey good. The scrambled eggs were excellent. It was nice to be able to use the communal kitchen and get tea and coffee at any time.

Everything was great! Comfy bed, friendly helpful staff and access to kitchen if needed. We did have trouble finding though, not very well signposted and it was dark. Also the sliding bathroom door was quite noisy. Lovely area with the lemon tree for sitting in for breakfast. Would recommend.

I would have rated this property excellent, but for a couple of room equipment issues. However, overall this is a great place to stay and I will stay here again. The room safe didn't work (they tried to fix it). The blackout blinds went off track half-way through and they could not repair it. The Internet strength dropped off in the evening, which affected my ability to do business in the US that was 5 hours behind. Those are the negatives. As I said, overall this is a GREAT place to stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It is a very cute place and breakfast was good. I loved being able to go to the kitchen and use it whenever I wished. I felt very safe staying there and even though the room safe didn't work, I had no problem leaving my valuables in the room. It is a GREAT location, close to everything. You are a 1 minute walk from Rua de Santo Antonio, which is a main street for shopping and restaurants and takes you down to the marina and all the activities there. You are a 15 minute walk from everything you wish to see in central Faro. They gave out a free Faro map which was very useful. It is next to a police station and a lot of shopping and restaurants. It is a 5-minute Uber ride from the train station. As I explained above, if it wasn't for the room issues, I would rate this excellent. I will be back to Faro and I will stay here again.

The Lemon Tree Stay is a delightful property fully embracing the lemon tree theme, from the shade of the lemon tree in the courtyard where a delicious breakfast is served, to handmade lemon soap in the room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee freely available in a small kitchen with an honesty bar (water, beer, red and white wine, and ice cream). Location in the centre very quiet and a short (10 min or less) walk to the Old Town, harbour, and other tourist attractions. Roof top terrace completed a delightful experience. Highly recommended.

Location wise the Lemon Tree Stay was excellent. The service was great and the breakfast even better. The only issue we had was a major ant infestation is our room. We notified the staff and the issue was resolved the same day.

It was an okay place to stay. The location was very central and easy to walk to from the train station. Check-in was quick and staff was very friendly. The room was fine when we checked in but I later noticed so many ants crawling everywhere, especially in the bathroom. The electronic lock also didn't work for our room but luckily they have a physical key for us to use instead. The AC also didn't work but at least there was a ceiling fan and it wasn't too hot. Also no fridge in the room. It was fine for the one night we needed but I wouldn't recommend this spot to my friends.

Excellent séjour. Accueil parfait du personnel de l’hôtel. Chambre très propre et confortable. Cet hôtel est magnifique autant à l’intérieur (architecture, déco) que sur sa façade ❤️ Le petit déjeuner était parfait. Proche de tous les centres d’intérêts. Je recommande ++++

Eine charmante Unterkunft, die etwas schwer zu finden war. Der Check-in war persönlich und herzlich, alles wurde gut erklärt. Wir hatten ein größeres Zimmer, das viel Platz bot. Es ist minimalistisch eingerichtet, aber recht stylisch. Die Hängematte im Zimmer ist ein netter Zusatz. Etwas nervig ist die Hellhörigkeit: Sowohl die Eingangstür zum Grundstück als auch die Nachbarn waren immer zu hören. Je nachdem, wie viel Rücksicht die anderen nehmen, kann es echt laut werden und auch nachts störend sein. Auf dem Dach befindet sich eine Terrasse, die sehr gemütlich wirkt. Wir hatten nur keine Zeit, uns dort länger aufzuhalten. Das inbegriffene Frühstück ist von der Auswahl her zwar überschaubar, aber lecker. Eier werden auf Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Bei zwei Tagen ist das völlig ok, wenn man länger bleibt, wird es aber sicherlich langweilig. In der direkten Umgebung befinden sich ein paar Restaurants, sonst gibt es nichts Spannendes. Faro selbst ist jetzt auch nicht besonders sehenswert, aber ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Algarve zu erkunden. Insgesamt war es ein schöner Aufenthalt.

Room was clean and the staff were nice but the room was very small. 3x4 meters, no lift and expected a boutique hotel and it was a converted hostel. Do not rely on the pictures.

Do not recommend this hotel as I was there for 3 days and 2 nights and they had NO WI-FI the entire time. They only said that they were looking into it. Not acceptable for a hotel in 2023 to have no WI-FI. I had to go out and Wi-Fi to make travel arrangements.

This hotel was incredible! The room was beautiful and we had our own little private patio.The staff was amazing - Lucas and Isa MADE our trip! They helped us navigate how to get to the beach and were always so so so helpful and cheerful! The breakfast was amazing too - eggs, fruit, and the yummiest breads and cakes! We cannot wait to come back!!

You are a 1 minute walk from Rua de Santo Antonio, which is a main street for shopping and restaurants and takes you down to the marina and all the activities there. You are a 15 minute walk from everything you wish to see in central Faro. They gave out a free Faro map which was very useful. It is next to a police station and a lot of shopping and restaurants. It is a 5-minute Uber ride from the train station. As I explained above, if it wasn't for the room issues, I would rate this excellent. I will be back to Faro and I will stay here again.

The Internet strength dropped off in the evening, which affected my ability to do business in the US that was 5 hours behind. Those are the negatives. First, the staff were so welcoming and helful. Especially Francisco and Carol. 2nd, admire the renovation creating a hotel from an older building. Don’t be deceived by the outside this is a hidden gem tucked away. Pleasantly surprised by this place. The Lemon Tree Hotel is really cool — beautifully laid out, quirky, and full of great atmosphere. It’s clearly been thoughtfully renovated and feels fresh while still having character. Above all, the service stood out. Carol, who checked us in, was incredibly kind and welcoming. We had to leave before breakfast hours, and without hesitation she insisted on preparing a packed breakfast for us to take along. Such a thoughtful touch and genuinely lovely hospitality. Highly recommended.

Loved it....the staff were so helpful with local info....breakfast was great and 24hr use of kitchen was a bonus....location was perfect for walking everywhere.....shopping, Old Town, the Marina, boat tours within minutes....easy to navigate....i'm travelling on, but glad i opted to wait until leaving to get a rental car....parking is tight in the area amd because everything is so close, having a car while staying in Faro,would have been a burden to me......i would dedinitely stay here again...and use their airport transport service..i left my handbag in the vehicle when being dropped off, and the driver returned it to me immediately..EVERYTHING important was in it..my passport, $$$....it could have been devastating...sooooo grateful

We went into this stay fairly blind, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Let me tell you, we would absolutely stay here again. This place is perfectly appointed, check in was so easy and amazing, and you have anything you need. Be pleasantly prepared to experience Ritz Carlton style service! Vasco the owner is absolutely amazing and truly cares about all his guests. Wonderful, wonderful place. Wish we could have stayed longer. Panda the dog was an added bonus and made us feel right at home. Thank you, Lemon Tree Stay!!!

The staff was amazing and very accommodating in letting us check in a bit early. I liked the overall vibe of the place and the outdoor spaces. We didn't get to enjoy the breakfast as our flight left in the morning and they were not able to make any allowances for us in terms of food, which was kind of a bummer.

It’s probably not fair that I complain about climbing 3 flights of stairs with luggage after injuring my leg during our trip to Portugal but that became an issue for me. I needed ice for my leg as well and the ice machine was broken. Otherwise the place was very clean and pleasant with an outdoor balcony. The biggest problem is that this place was very difficult to find by both the driver who dropped us off, as well as, most importantly the driver who was picking us up to drop us at the airport. The staff was very courteous and as helpful as they could be like many people in Portugal.

The Lemon Tree Stay is a delightful property fully embracing the lemon tree theme, from the shade of the lemon tree in the courtyard where a delicious breakfast is served, to handmade lemon soap in the room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee freely available in a small kitchen with an honesty bar (water, beer, red and white wine, and ice cream). Location in the centre very quiet and a short (10 min or less) walk to the Old Town, harbour, and other tourist attractions. Roof top terrace completed a delightful experience. Highly recommended.

Das Lemon Tree ist wirklich ein zauberhaftes kleines Hotel mitten in Faro. Alles ist in kurzer Gehdistanz erreichbar. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, und das Frühstück ist ein Gedicht. Die Zimmer sind blitzblank. 😊

You are made to feel so welcome at Lemon Tree Stay from the second you walk through the gate. You get a wonderful ‘long-lost family-type’ introduction to the hotel and area which is hard not to love immediately. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is so close to everywhere in Faro you’d like to be. The breakfast is wonderful and with so many options, I can’t imagine how you could walk away without feeling extremely happy. As a solo female visitor, I felt incredibly safe at the hotel (and generally in Faro). Hard recommend.

Cancellations made up to 7 days before the check-in date will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 6 days before check-in or no-shows are non-refundable.
