La Mer - Home with a Pool

In the end it suited our purpose, 4 bedrooms!! Tried and in need of some TLC, a lot of minor issues raised with manager. Disappointed the pool wasn’t clean (hence 3 stars there) so did not use but then found out it was out of action anyways! Wish people would tell the managers about maintenance issues, how else do things get fixed, even did a few simple ones myself at no charge :)

Ronald was a fabulous host. Super helpful and made our stay perfect. A great location to see north Perth. 10 min walk to the most amazing stretch of coast and then another 10 mins to Lunas cafe which was yum!! Easy access to surrounding areas by car. Safe and secure area with everything that you need. Nice bbq and the pool area was incredible. We enjoyed our stay so much we’ll definitely be back. Thank you Ronald for always being so helpful and for the fab welcome hamper.

My family reserved this property for 10 days in Aug23. The property was not as described, the house when we checked in was dangerous and filthy. We reported the issues & allowed the host 2 days to address them, he didn't nor did he offer us alternative accommodation so we vacated. Host admitted property had not been cleaned. My main concern was the family bathroom; broken tiles with sharp edges & only a hot water feed to the bath with taps positioned at child height (we have a young child, declared at the time of booking). Based on my complaints the host commissioned an independent report which at his own admission highlighted several more issues than I'd raised (I dread to think). After being extremely rude, defensive & unprofessional the host wrote to me offering me a full refund. 7 months later I AM STILL WAITING TO BE REFUNDED. Vrbo have been beyond useless throughout and I'm out of pocket by thousands! The host resorted to blackmail. He said he'd only process the refund IF I didn’t leave a review. I refuse to be silenced in the hope that I can spare another family going through such an awful experience. We booked the property based on its positive reviews, now I know that Vrbo reviews cannot be trusted! I reported the blackmail to Vrbo, instead of assisting me they told me not to leave a review if I wanted my money back?! The property is still being marketed on Vrbo, it's disgraceful. It ruined our precious family vacation & caused stress ever since. AVOID!!

What an awesome spot to stay with a family, had everything we needed, loved the pool and outdoor area, spacious rooms, good cooling, overall a great stay. Clean and owners were easy to deal with. Lovely beaches and shops for all you need nearby

The house is lovely great for kids with the pool and the beaches are close by, just a short drive. Plenty of space to move around and in the warmer days the aircon really help.
