This grandeur and ambience of Mount Lofty House was amazing. Everything from the warm welcome, the friendly staff, the accommodation and beautiful gardens was amazing. We would definitely recommend staying at Mount Lofty House

Staff were lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and very grateful for the extra help on check out day to prepare for a family wedding - thank you. Pool and grounds are beautiful. Breakfast and breakfast room were excellent - beautiful views over the valley. Didn't enjoy dinner in Martha's restaurant so much though. Short, fixed price menu of two or three courses - fine dining prices. Only one vegetarian option for each course - burrata and leaves for entree and a vegetarian pasta for main. Opted for the seafood options instead (seemed better value for $100 a head). But didn't enjoy either - v strong flavours overwhelmed the fish in both cases. Suggested wine pairing was excellent though - many thanks to the sommelier. MLH is a great place to stay and/or dine to celebrate a one time special occasion (as many fellow guests were), but not sure about repeat visitors or solo travellers (as I was). If you're visiting Australia from somewhere else, MLH will give you a sense of Australia and historic South Australia - definitely consider staying - you won't be sorry.

This is beautiful old style property is great history. The food is exceptional and the staff are friendliest you will find. They all seem to take great pride work at this special place. We spent two night had high tea, a massage at the spa and some really delicious food as well as the house tour. Everything was so well done with such caring people.

Everything was just perfect from the minute we arrived. We were given champagne on arrival, bags beat us to our room from the car. Absolutely beautiful and luxurious! The estate is stunning with fantastic views! The room was lovely, and bed was very comfortable. The meals at Hardy's Restaurant were absolutely delicious! All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, a very relaxing, lovely experience.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Mount lofty house is such an iconic place to visit in Adeliade. The Piccadilly Valley view room is gorgeous with a million dollars view. The staffs are amazing, always made sure you are well look after. Amazing place and services. Breakfast and fine dining is excellent. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves nature and enjoy good food

A nice, historic building with friendly staff and an impeccable location. The botanic gardens adjoining are a real treasure. The food was a letdown though - high tea service was slow, we had to ask to be served after 30 minutes (even to choose tea). The sandwiches were made on stale bread. Surprisingly poor since the Verandah restaurant is highly rated. Room was well laid out and practical.

MLH is a great place to stay and/or dine to celebrate a one time special occasion (as many fellow guests were), but not sure about repeat visitors or solo travellers (as I was). If you're visiting Australia from somewhere else, MLH will give you a sense of Australia and historic South Australia - definitely consider staying - you won't be sorry.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and very grateful for the extra help on check out day to prepare for a family wedding - thank you. Pool and grounds are beautiful. Breakfast and breakfast room were excellent - beautiful views over the valley. Didn't enjoy dinner in Martha's restaurant so much though. Short, fixed price menu of two or three courses - fine dining prices. Only one vegetarian option for each course - burrata and leaves for entree and a vegetarian pasta for main. Opted for the seafood options instead (seemed better value for $100 a head). But didn't enjoy either - v strong flavours overwhelmed the fish in both cases. Suggested wine pairing was excellent though - many thanks to the sommelier. Absolutely beautiful and luxurious! The estate is stunning with fantastic views! The room was lovely, and bed was very comfortable. The meals at Hardy's Restaurant were absolutely delicious! All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, a very relaxing, lovely experience.

This is beautiful old style property is great history. The food is exceptional and the staff are friendliest you will find. They all seem to take great pride work at this special place. We spent two night had high tea, a massage at the spa and some really delicious food as well as the house tour. Everything was so well done with such caring people.

A nice, historic building with friendly staff and an impeccable location. The botanic gardens adjoining are a real treasure. The food was a letdown though - high tea service was slow, we had to ask to be served after 30 minutes (even to choose tea). The sandwiches were made on stale bread. Surprisingly poor since the Verandah restaurant is highly rated. Room was well laid out and practical.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Mount lofty house is such an iconic place to visit in Adeliade. The Piccadilly Valley view room is gorgeous with a million dollars view. The staffs are amazing, always made sure you are well look after. Amazing place and services. Breakfast and fine dining is excellent. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves nature and enjoy good food

Everything was just perfect from the minute we arrived. We were given champagne on arrival, bags beat us to our room from the car. The welcome drink and history of the house was amazing -Chris was fantastic! Food was to die for and our room was just gorgeous. I could not fault anything in our stay and wished it was longer.

We loved our stay at Mt Lofty House. Highly recommend the daily history tour at 4.30pm. All staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Our room was divine. A tip, the cookies are the best. There’s a jar left out and topped up daily but it’s a bit of a secret. We dined at Martha’s and after a really busy day, loved the easy going nature of this restaurant. We also had the 7 course degustation menu at Hardys Veranda another night. We didn’t enjoy this as much as Martha’s purely as some of the flavours didn’t match in our opinion. It was a very vast menu, a lot of food and sitting down to a 3 hour dinner was a bit after another very busy day. Overall though, we would absolutely come back here. The surrounding gardens were magnificent as was Mt Lofty House in general.

Lovely stay at Mt Lofty House with excellent service throughout. We had a very warm reception from Christopher and you can really tell he has years of experience in hospitality. I joked to a friend that he reminded me a bit of Alfred from Batman 😄. On arrival we were offered a selection of welcome drinks, and my favourite was definitely the warm negroni-mulled wine. Such a cozy touch, especially during the colder weather. The room was clean and comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised there was even a pillow menu. I ended up ordering a memory foam pillow which made the stay even more comfortable. I also think the 4:30pm property tour made the experience extra special. Big credit to Will who hosted the tour during our stay, you could really feel the pride and history behind the property. Lovely amenities too, especially the cozy library and billiard room. Breakfast was excellent and the view in the morning was absolutely beautiful. Overall, a very relaxing and memorable stay, would recommend.
