Great House Motel

Stayed only one night. Our wall under the window had a hole. Window still needed cleaning. Each unit looks like a small modular home with it's own entrance. There's a small indoor AC unit in our room with mini fridge, microwave, small table and two lounge chairs. Their parking lot is small to maneuver. I didn't noticed any other amenities.

Was an ADA compliant room but no one with mobility issues would be comfortable there.

Everything was great. Except for the parking. Not enough. Besides that I slept good.

Whole place needs updating and we were told that they plan to update everything by next year. We chose it because of location and reasonable price compared to others in the area, however would probably choose somewhere else next time. We were initially given a room on 2nd floor with no elevator, but they changed it to 1st floor when requested.

Conveniant. No ice machine a negative. Clean room

Cozy room. Bed took up most of the space. Bed was firm. Linens were soft and clean. Extra blanket and pillows available. Small fridge with freezer worked fine. Didn't use small microwave nor coffee maker. TV and remote worked fine. Bathroom small and clean. Shower only. Water pressure good. Hot and cold water. Clean towels and soaps provided. Walls were thin. Could hear neighbors and outdoor activity. Parking was tight. AC kicked on and off all night making it difficult to sleep. Bathroom ceiling had peeling paint. A bit difficult adjusting shower water temperature. Floor was hard surface and felt like it needed cleaning. Hard to tell because room was dark even with lights on. Someone's food was left in the fridge when I arrived. Mistakes happen.

Everything was fine…just a one night stay. One thing that was disappointing was their dryer wasn’t working, so I had to take our laundry to a laundromat. Room was comfortable.

Honestly this place is way overpriced. It’s an old motel with limited parking. You can hear the noises from outside , even people just talking. Room had nowhere to put anything, “closet” was an open space where there was a refrigerator that blocked hanging anything up. Bathroom window couldn’t close. I booked last minute and this was one of least expensive options available but I wouldn’t stay there again.

They responded to my needs and helped me out with an early check-in. Good deal for the price. I'm a large man and the bathroom is small but the shower did have handheld wand so it worked out. Has all the basic amenities one would expect.

We were on a budget and this was the least expensive option for the area so I understand you get what you pay for. We were given a room next to what I’m guessing was the live-in maid/service quarters. It was a Friday night and the walls were super thin. There were people laughing and arguing all night. And I mean until morning. The room was very run down. The drapes were absolutely filthy. The walls were stained. The shower curtain was moldy.

★☆☆☆☆ Absolutely Horrible – Stay Away Our family trip to Olympic National Park started off ruined because of this place. When we opened the door, there were giant spider webs everywhere and a spider crawling on the wall (see photos). The manager sent two guys with a broomstick, and the owner said it’s “just a small crawly” and even showed how to squash it. The room was filthy-moldy bathroom that smelled like vomit, broken window glass, dusty floors, dirty soggy pillow, and funky sheets. None of us could even use the shower. When we checked out, a staff member was sitting by the front desk smoking weed. This place has zero hygiene or professionalism. Sleeping in a campground would have been much cleaner. Google should not be recommending this place — it completely ruined the start of our family trip in Sequim.

Room was not cleaned well. Bathroom floor was dirty. Dining table surface was not cleaned. Mirror on the wall had a smear covering most of the surface. Stains on linens, or they were not clean.

There was a hair clump in the shower. To me that says it was not cleaned. It made me wonder if the sheets had been changed.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the property itself was quite dirty. It really needs a deep cleaning before I’d consider staying here again.

Absolute dump. Tiny, filthy room. There was a black shoe print on one of the pillow cases. No linen service — one towel provided for the entire stay. Not enough bedding and no clean bedding or housekeeping of any kind during the stay. Filthy air conditioner. Bedbugs and black mold. The floor turns the soles of your feet black after walking across the room one time. The people running this place had family over and they took up all the parking spaces, then had an attitude about it. If free parking is included with the room, there had better be a space for me. The lot is also tiny so if you have anything bigger than a midsize car, you’re going to have a tough time fitting. It’s the cheapest place in the area (for good reason) so when I had to stay in town a little longer than planned, I tried to extend the reservation. The people at the desk said there were no rooms available. I went back on hotels.com and there were rooms available, so I booked one. I have no idea why they lied about this. The motel allowed me to stay in the same room, but told me I was getting a great deal because the room I was in was a medium and what I had reserved online was a small. If my room was a medium, a small must be a closet. Their medium room is literally the smallest motel room I’ve ever seen. I’m not a demanding guest. I’m not that picky about where I stay, and I knew for the price I paid, I wasn’t going to get luxury, but this was about a $30 value, if that. Stay elsewhere.

I saw a review that said $50/ night? Where? I paid $115 and thank god I used points. Just terrible. I killed at least 4 small roaches, I don’t want to think how many more were here. TV didn’t work. Room was dirty and everything is grossly patched up No breakfast but I wouldn’t eat anything coming from them anyway Just an emergency place to spend the night Yuck

It was dirty like a 3rd world hotel. Laid on my back all night as the sheet stunk as if they hadn't been changed. 2 10 inch cracks in the floor of the shower around the drain. If I stepped too close to the drain the cracks would buckle. Was afraid I would break through. Dead Bolt didn't work. Pillows stunk. Everything was broken and sticky. Got ripped bad

Great space: nice looking and comfortable, large king-size room. Only complaint is that the shower head dripped a little loudly but closing the bathroom door solved that. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Thank you for a good night's sleep and great morning coffee.

Nice stay. Could easily stay for a few nights. The room has everything needed for the stay. The microwave, fridge, coffee machine and table made it every convenient to heat up cooked food with a nice comfortable eating area. Washroom is cleaned and spacious. AC and heater are a gem in the room. Walls between units are thin and can easily hear the people next door, but nothing ear plugs cannot take care of the noise.

The property is good for a quick stay of you are traveling. The room was relatively clean but there were a few missed areas (i.e. the bathroom toilet). If you use the wifi, try all 5 to see which has the better sognal. Overall good for a one night stay.

The room was overall clean, but the windows and entry door were filthy. The very small window AC barely kept the room cool (and it was not a particularly hot day/night). The front window was screwed shut, so not able to open it to let some air into the room. The bed and bedding were clean, but the mattress seemed rock hard and the pillows were flat - worn out.

Smelled like cigarette smoke, AC not on so room hot when i arrived. Bright light shines straight in window from parking lot, no blackout drapes. Curtain covers up the AC, no hairdryer. Is old, dingy , run down. Has a tiny bathroom. Did have in-room coffee and a small refrigerator and microwave.

Stay was fine, room needed a little love. The portable AC in the room leaked all over the floor, the shower floor felt like you were going to fall through, and the TV only got one channel, unless you signed in with your own personal streaming services. Feel like I still overpaid for my stay based on the conditions of the property.

We left after one night. The water temp could not be regulated to shower and we could hear every move our neighbor was making all night long. Got no sleep and the room was so small we could not pass each other to get from A to B around the furnishings. The person in the office was super nice, but just not enough to make the experience a good one.

Everything was old in this room, especially the mattress. When we Checked in at 10pm, the room was terribly hot, and we had to wait for the A/C to cool the room which took about 2 hours. I slept poorly because of the condition of the bed. Will never go there again.

I love motels run by families. I always get great service. This was no different. Family was great, friendly and very helpful letting us know when was best times and way to see surrounding attractions. Great motel and place to stay.

There was a bit of a fiasco with the reservation, not the motel's fault at all though. And when they couldn't find me they were about to give me a complimentary room until it got settled! Fortunately, it all got straightened out and I was able to go to my room. They were patient and friendly through the whole experience and gave me a bottled water. I would stay here again and recommend it. Thank you for you patiyand understanding in the mix up!

Clean, well-ordered simple, and efficient motel, with excellent functions and conveniences for all the things that matter. Accessible rooms available. Location is right on the main local road (Highway 101), so a very quiet room is not possible. But the road provides great convenience. Once again, high marks for cleanliness. That’s about it.

Checking in was easy and pleasant. Room has all necessities. The bed was excellent, comfortable and supportive. Plenty of hot water once the cold water is flushed out. The area is safe and close to shops and restaurants. All this and the nightly rate was a bargain. Overall I recommend Great House Motel.

It was located close to the lavender festival and restaurants, stores etc. The place was very old, beds were hard, blanket on one bed was dirty. The sink in bathroom wouldn't drain. Parking was tight. Needs updated, smelled like a goodwill store.

The location was perfect! It is right in the middle of Sequim next to a grocery store, QFC, lovely huge park Carrie Blake and five minutes walk from downtown. The room has a refrigerator and microwave and small coffeepot--perfect for storing leftovers from the many restaurants nearby. It was very cozy and the AC was perfect during the warm day and they have lots of extra blankets for night. The owners were very kind and they have a bulletin board with Thank you notes from over the years from all their travelers. You can tell people really appreciate the effort they make. Thank you for the stay!

Minimalistic with all necessary facilities. Nothing fancy but a clean place. Worth every penny when compared to prices for stay around this place. A great place to stay if you are visitng Olympic National Park or around and if you are booking late when Forks and Angeles are already booked.

Very comfortable property and great value for the price. Hosts are very nice and accommodating.Excellent location, a short drive to Olympic National Park, and lots of other things to do nearby.

For 55$ you will not find better. Breakfast restaurant just across the road, makes up for no continental. The rooms very clean, so it didn't matter that they were a little worn down. Very nice staff. Gas station next door as well. We're peaceful neighbourhood, no homeless people around.

Directly across from The Big Elk Diner. Bed was comfortable, perfect lighting, everything was perfect for us. Great service as well. We enjoyed our stay there & plan to come back when in the area again!
