The rooms are big and clean. They even have a large refrigerator in the kitchen area. I didn't realize it was a motel when I booked the rooms. It's right off the interstate, so it's easy to get to...yet it feels remote with the wooded surroundings.

The facility is older but it was clean and Sam was very accommodating in every way. We went to visit the Ark and my dog stayed in the room with no issues. I would choose this place again

Very nice older motel where you park right outside your room which I love. The only negative would be that listing said free breakfast and this was not available. A discount at a nearby restaurant was offered.

Very cute, clean room. Loved the pull out lounge chair, the big fridge, and the sink and small kitchen counter area. Great price for one night which even included breakfast. Close to the Ark Encounter.

Room was clean. Loved having a kitchenette in the room. Exterior entrance. We didn't eat breakfast as the only gluten free item was hard boiled eggs and my husband doesn't like them. It was close to the road and the interstate, but I didn't notice any noise. There were 2 bottles of water and 2 granola bars in the room, which was a nice touch. The bed was pretty comfy, just a little hard for my taste. Convenient to The Ark Encounter.

It is a small bit very nice privately owned hotel. You could tell that good maintenance was a priority for them. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The managers were wonderful and helpful when needed. I stayed 3 nights and would definitely recommend this place to other travelers

I was pleasantly surprised about the North Star Inn. Very clean!!! Don’t miss this little inn it is worth staying at. We didn’t want a commercial hotel and were looking for something clean and simple. This was perfect!! Thank you North Star Inn for a very comfortable cozy stay.

Walking through the door there was a strong mildew odor. Place was clean enough but many points of disrepair like dripping tub, missing light bulb in bathroom and missing trim at base of flooring along with fridge was inoperable. I would recommend yiu being your own pillows as theirs are awful. Also byo towels as theirs are not white. Over all average to below average stay buy will not return. Owners seem nice but need some more TLC as no doubt steps have been taken to make it better but projects are incomplete. BTW the restaurant they own, food is good but not completely down home cooking nor lives up to reviews. Wish them luck.

Initially the room appeared very clean, but then discovered an area on the sink cabinet in the corner by the tub has black mold, The issue discovered later in the evening and office closed so unable to inform staff Hotel not located near any eating establishments. Should have researched that before booking room.

Different place to stay in between Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Room was clean and smelled good. Comfortable bed. Small place, owners have great customer service skills. We received a discount when eating at restaurant they own. Great food!

Very nice room for the price. I would have rated it higher if the bed and pillows were more comfortable. Otherwise, it was it was great. I would recommend it to someone else.

A work in progress. The room was clean and comfortable. It appears that updates are in process, with a new heater/AC unit, newer flooring that was bubbled near the kitchenette area, missing trim and a patched area where the old A/C unit used to be. The toilet seat was not attached properly and would slide if you shifted your weight at all. A decent place to stay if price and cleanliness are your primary concerns.

Very clean.. only place I’ve EVER seen, with a clean ceiling vent-fan in the bathroom! Comfortable Quiet EZ remote check-in since owner was at their restaurant and not able to be in two places at once [😱🤓].. had keypad entry on each room. There was a person in the room right next to us and we never heard a thing.

The air conditioner was really noisy and sporadically so. We brought the issue to the staff and she acknowledged that it had been a problem and it needed replacement but didn't fix it or help us remediate the problem. Also, the shower was inconsistent in pressure and temperature.

My husband made a 2-night reservation at The North Star Inn. First appearance gave me creepy vibes. The bedspread had lots of stains, but the sheets were clean. There was also a mouse hole in the baseboard. There was a strange bar above the bed. Weird. The manager was not on site; he was working at a restaurant down the road. He had a phone number to call. He gave us the lock box number. He said he would give us a 15% discount since there was no breakfast offered at the site. Since it was late, I told my husband we'd stay for one night, which we did. The road noise was really bad, too.

Not as i expected by the reviews. Had to go to a truck stop down the road to check in. Very old but seemed clean enuff. Room was loud with people in other rooms. Bed uncomfortable. Fridge didnt work. Had to go back to truck stop for ice.

The people running the place were very nice. Even though the place was advertised on Hotels.com as having free breakfast, and it didn’t, we were given 15% off at a place down the road. There were a couple of things that didnt work right. The toilet seat was loose and the fridge froze things. It was tricky checking in but it was a pretty good stat.

The room was clean but there was dome confusion where the office was and why the restaurant wasn’t open on site of the motel. But the person who checked us in was very helpful but it was done remotely and thru email which was strange to us!

This is a nice little place! Rooms are clean and comfortable and staff is really nice. Office manager is a really nice guy and very helpful. Also they have a restaurant that is down the road which has great food. Definitely recommend and will stay again!

The North Star Inn is a very cozy little place with comfortable beds and homey space. I really like this place. My reason for less than glowing ratings was not getting the text with my code and having to ask the housekeeping employee what I needed to do. Then needing to go to another place to get the information after a somewhat long stint of driving didn’t make me happy. I understand the place is under new management so there are things to get worked out. I will definitely stay here again.

I don't think I have ever delt with a friendlier bunch of people. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. It's a small Inn but not a disappointing one. We were exploring one morning while waiting for breakfast and encountered the caretaker coming out of his residence. We all talked like we'd been friends for years. He showed us some of his woodworking projects and photos of the animals that come out to be fed. I won't stay anywhere else if I'm back in that part of the country.

Nice simple no frills hotel. Slow response to checking in, towel replacements and check in. If you need a clean non-expensive alternative to most hotels near the Ark Encounter, this fits. Hotel is for a place to sleep, shower only. No restaurants right by the hotel. Lots of restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Call Hotel a couple of hours before check in to receive a text message with door code and WiFi password. No office at the hotel location.

Do not judge the motel by its cover. The room was delightful. Be sure to go to the truckstop across the bridge to check-in with Sam. We were confused at first. The owners are friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

Clean and nice for our stay. There is nothing close to this hotel. The restaurant was open Friday for dinner which was nice.But only open during Lent. Nice continental breakfast every morning. But be prepared to drive at least 20 miles for anything to eat. A great place to stay for the Arc experience. Only 10 minutes away and very reasonable priced.

Everything was great. Just, out in the middle of nowhere, so unless you want truck stop food, you have to travel, but we were out on the road the three days we were there so we didn't find it a big issue. Staff was friendly,but not in sight, have to go to the truck stop. Lol. But room was nice. Almost like a studio apartment. I recommend

We booked here to go to the Ark Encounter and it was a good value. Not too far from the attraction. However, dining choices for lunch or dinner were very limited in the area.

Right off I-75 and close to The Ark Encounter, it was travel convenient. However, there is no outside dining within 15 miles. The little room had a microwave and small frig, but there is no town - only a gas station and this motel. It was quiet and the bed was comfy but the continental breakfast was very limited (you had to ask for a cup of coffee) and after no dinner the night before, we wish we had been prepared with advanced warning.

We would recommend the North Star Inn - a simple motel, with updated rooms that were updated, very clean, and had a little kitchenette. There was also a nice, complimentary breakfast in the cafe next door for the motel guests. We only stayed one night, but found it a great little place to stay.

Check in was in an adjacent building which was poorly marked. Breakfast was served in same building, the former cafe with very limited selection and didn't open until 8AM.

North Star Inn was conveniently situated near the Ark Encounter. The room was cleaned and well maintained. There was a smell of cigar, but we opened a window to mitigate the smell. I'm not sure if some equipment was down, but the breakfast bar was bare minimum. Overall a pleasant stay for my family.

Very nice older motel where you park right outside your room which I love. The only negative would be that listing said free breakfast and this was not available. A discount at a nearby restaurant was offered.

Surpisingly quiet, considering it’s nearness to the interstate. Exceptionally clean, with everything needed for an overnight stay. Management was helpful with information regarding places to eat and accurate with distances and roadways. Breakfast is of a variety and the area large and well equipped. Would stay here again without hesitation.

We loved the fact of the check in with no contact. We called and they gave us a code to get in the door. That’s pretty much where it ended. Our room was a nice 75 degrees. A little warm for sleeping in our opinion. We tried to turn Down the air conditioner and all it did was rattle more. The refrigerator never stopped making noise. The “continental breakfast “ was no more than cereal and Little Debbie’s muffins and donuts. When we asked about the “sack” breakfast. they offered to take with us to our rooms they handed us a plastic Walmart bag and said we could take whatever we wanted. Would we go back NO. It was aNO TELL MOTEL worth about $50 a night at best.

No one is at the hotel you have to call a number and then you check in thru the phone. You get a text message with room and door code. The free complimentary breakfast is at a store down the road….apple orange 2 choices of cereal from a container. They give you 15% off if you order breakfast from their store

It is a small inn, but has been upgraded, the continental breakfast was good, the bed was comfortable and they treat you like a guest.

Great for an overnight stay; no extra amenities, but clean and comfortable. No in-person check in, but the contact was easy to reach. Breakfast was off-site and minimal but sufficient to get us started for the day.

The room was passable to sleep in for the night. The bed was fairly comfortable. The bathtub had been repainted, at one time, and most of the paint had peeled off. Therefore it was not used. There was not even one chair to sit on. It had a new air conditioner in the room, so it was cool. The photo shown, of the room with tables, is deceiving because it is not open anymore. To check in you call the office number, they give you a door code. To check out you just leave.

The first thing my daughter said as As we walked in the room was don't put anything on the bed there's hair everywhere. Type of blanket used and the bed instead of a comforter had so much hair on it it was disgusting. There was also hair when we pulled back the blankets on the sheets as well. There was also hair all over the bathroom floor tub and sink. Luckily, we only had to stay in the room a few hours, but I would recommend that they hire a better cleaning staff and get rid of those type of blankets on the beds because you'll never get the hair out of them. The air conditioning heating unit was also very confusing as to how it was operated. We had also reserved the room for four people and there were two towels in the bathroom. The house that was directly next to the property also had two dogs that barked Incessantly through the night and the morning anytime a car or somebody walked by! We had arrived late in the evening, so it wasn't worth even trying to contact the staff regarding the issues and we left early in the morning. We were visiting our family in the area, and we are from out of state. Unfortunately, the next time we will not be staying at this facility.

Staff was nonexistent, had to call to get code to be let into room. Substance in the sink. Dirty sheets. When a person did show up, they were rude and did not care that the place was filthy.

This is an older property that is very well maintained. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The bed and air-conditioning are fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.
