Room was adequate with small en-suite but it worked. Room noisy due to main B class road outside one window and an air conditioning unit below the other window. Plus side, beer and food very good and excellent helpful staff

Very competitive price for a comfortable room. Accommodation( total of 4 rooms) was adjacent to and accessed via the village pub , but we did not hear a thing ! Nice outdoor space for relaxing or dining/ drinking. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again. Only considerations are staircase up to accommodation and breakfast is not served in the pub.

Some of the friendliest and kindest staff I've ever had, with a simple and easy check-in/check-out process. Also very delicious food at the pub downstairs as well. My bed was very comfortable as well, and the room was very clean. Overall, I'd gladly come back to stay if I ever visit again.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Red Lion and the food was delicious / beers kept well too. No breakfast available but comfy and clean rooms with coffee and tea making facilities. There is a community general store to the rear of the property which is handy!

The pub is a family run concern. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. I particularly enjoyed the 'Open Mic' evening. The room was clean, comfortable and well reaourced - i.e coffee and tea tray.

We were made very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The regulars in the Pub were also very friendly. Room was clean and met all our needs. The food was also very good and inexpensive. FIVE stars all around.

Great place for Dad and son before going on a tank driving and firing day. Good pub food good basic and clean room. Very pleased with the price and would most definitely recommend and return.

Lovely welcome, clean, warm comfortable room. The only problem was, I was unable to eat at the premises on Monday evening this time of year. Apparently they start serving.evening meals again on Monday evenings come March time.

Room was clean & tidy but could do with some TLC. Missing shelve in shower, broken furniture. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only criticism is no room cleaning was done on the day between our 2 night stay.

Very clean. I've stayed here before but since then the rooms have had a revamp - new carpet, new shower door etc. Very comfortable.

Room was ok, attention needed to wardrobe (door needed fixing). Other workmen staying there were banging around outside and making noise / shouting/very loud until after midnight on 3 occasions with no regard to others staying there. In the morning lights worked but no electric for some reason for kettle / tv / lamps etc but thankfully shower was hot regardless and with decent towels. We didn't expect much at the price but wanted at least a decent sleep which we didn't get as they woke us again just before 7am doing the same. A shame it didnt work out as was looking for accommodation to use in the area occasionally. We won't be returning.

Asked for a heater as the one in the room wasn't working and was told that one would be provided but it wasn't. Hiding the exterior access door to the rooms behind a scabby old fence without any sign saying access to the rooms was not a great idea and nor was having an unusual door opening mechanism that implied it was faulty and that you were locked out. Otherwise it was pretty good.

Pub was ok and we ate and the food was good. BUT we were shown to our freezing cold room and told we have live music tonight you might want to join us. We did for 30 mins after our dinner but after a 3 hour drive we wanted to get some sleep. The music shook the room until 11.30, then the staff were loud and noisy in the corridors as the staff office is next door to many rooms. The heating went off at around 10.30 and it was very cold. Overall a decent meal but one of the worst nights I have had in a hotel. Avoid weekend nights in case of loud music.

Absolutely fantastic pub with very friendly and helpful staff (the 2 Emma’s especially). Brilliant food and beers and a clean and comfortable room. Cannot recommend more highly and will definitely be back again!

Some of the friendliest and kindest staff I've ever had, with a simple and easy check-in/check-out process. Also very delicious food at the pub downstairs as well. My bed was very comfortable as well, and the room was very clean. Overall, I'd gladly come back to stay if I ever visit again.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Red Lion and the food was delicious / beers kept well too. No breakfast available but comfy and clean rooms with coffee and tea making facilities. There is a community general store to the rear of the property which is handy!

No food available at all on a Monday or Tuesday. No Breakfast or Evening Meal. Was hungry when I got there in the dark and had to drive to find another pub. Place is ok but I'd never stay there again.

Great place for Dad and son before going on a tank driving and firing day. Good pub food good basic and clean room. Very pleased with the price and would most definitely recommend and return.

Stopped he a couple of times now and booked again for the next couple of months difficult to get in as very popular always a good welcome and they cannot do enough for you and food is excellent

You have to expect that this is an old pub with rooms to let, therefore it's not particularly sound proof and there will be noise from the bar etc. However it was a good value stay, in a very pretty village. The room and bathroom were fine, the staff very pleasant and helpful and the evening meal was really good. A good choice of ales. Ample free parking on site. We would recommend staying at The Red Lion

Very reasonably priced, exceptionally clean and lovely staff. We weren't used to the traffic noise and had the windows open due to the heat so had a disturbed night.

Room was missing coat hooks on back of bathroom door and no shelving also the strip light above the sink mirror didn't work There were no shower gels/soap and the room was extremely warm with the bedside light had no bulb in it and could have been live! no air-conditioning or fan was provided also no glass for toothbrushes although the holder was still there ...
