The hot tub was down, one of the reasons I wanted to get a room here was for the hot tub and pool. The room we were in had black mold by the tub, I have small children.

Business related and chose this location as it had a gym. I arrived and the gym was closed for repairs. Sad….it should be updated daily on your website and links through secondary booking options!

Have stayed here several times. Staff is always friendly and courteous. This was the first we encountered less than perfect room. Closed curtains to reveal torn sheers. Shower still had soap and shampoo from last occupant and back of bathroom door was all marked up

Check in was delayed several hours past the listed time of 4:00 P.M. Told that housekeeping had not cleaned all the rooms. Evidently, not possible to fill each room as it became available, but waited for all cleaning? Stained carpets and dirty floors throughout. Spa was not operational. Huge spider web covering large area of dining area window. Mold in bathroom.

The room was very unclean when we checked in. The shower had a brown sticky substance all over the bottom and since there were no housekeepers working at the time, we had to clean it ourselves. The towels were wet and there was leftover Chinese food in the refrigerator. We have stayed here before and did not have this issue. Unfortunately, we won’t be booking again. Very disappointed.

Downsides: floors are terribly thin and it sounds like elephants stay in the room above you. Our shower was also broken - had to hold the arm out so the shower stayed on (difficult to shower when you’re bent over and lost the use of one arm). Upsides: the staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is also decent and stays open later on the weekends. Overall I had to give it a 3 because of the thin floors. Otherwise it would be a 5.

We unfortunately had a room directly across from the elevator. Why on earth would a hotel chain put a room there??? The constant dinging of the bell, and people who don't appreciate there are people trying to sleep in that unfortunate room was really irritating. Maybe you should put signs on the doors of rooms around the elevator, reminding people that someone unfortunate enough to be stuck in those rooms are trying to rest and sleep.

I stay at this property a half dozen times per year and have had generally good experiences. Unfortunately there was no Internet throughout the building yesterday and throughout the night and I understand the Internet Service Provider said everything was fine while it was obviously not fine. Internet is back up and running today

Had wedding couple and guests stay at this hotel it was terrible they did not make accommodations for bride and groom -was told they were not able to put us on a higher floor due to none of the rooms being cleaned? Then almost every single one of our guests who traveled from out of state got to the hotel some even at 10pm and their room was not cleaned or ready which was confusing since check in time was at 3pm. Even the wedding party was late to rehearsal due to waiting 2 hours for their room after 3pm check in. Mostly had to call a number while standing at the front desk that they had posted several times to get service as there was nobody at the front desk or answering the room phone to the front desk. Paid full price for hotel rooms even though they were not ready or doing cleaning service at all? I understand places are short staffed in which everyone is willing to give grace but I don’t believe they should be charging full price then. Terribly dissatisfied don’t stay here if you are getting married in Indianola just save yourself and stay in Des Moines.

It took about 20 minutes to get checked in and I was the only person checking in at the time. There was a sign at the front desk asking me to call a number since no one was staffing the front desk. I called the number, it went to voice mail, and then advised me I couldn’t leave a message because the mail box had not been set up or was full. I then had to shout to get someone’s attention. Then this morning I go to have breakfast and the hotel has FoxNews on the tv. Not a good idea with the polarization of political views. Put it on sports or weather or local news. Some of us do not want to listen to Fox’s propaganda machine especially at 7:30 am

We stayed for 7 nights while attending several performances of the Des Moine Metro Opera. Very convenient to the theatre (5 mins). Also only 25 minutes to Des Moines. However, that means you need a car otherwise no restaurants or grocery stores within walking distance. Also, apparently no taxi service in Indianola either. But hotel is well-maintained, the King bed room for extended stays was exactly what we needed: a full size fridge and small kitchen table; sitting area; and very comfortable King bed. Staff very friendly.

Our stay at this location was awesome and I look forward returning. The staff were courteous, efficient, and serving. The breakfast was different every morning and was tasty.

Friendly staff. Easy check in. Ice machine on 3rd floor not working had to go to 1st floor. Missing a curtain and when showered- the bathroom floor flooded so had to lie a towel down to keep from slipping and falling. Shouldn’t have been charged $2 for a bottle of water - should be complementary. Good things- great and friendly staff. Kitchen worker was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast buffet got an A+ Bed was really comfy. Liked the long hours for breakfast. Would I stay again / most definitely

Overall, the hotel is a good place to stay. My bathroom was very clean, and housekeeping came and refreshed towels and such, which was appreciated. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. No breakfast meat, no yogurt, no hard-boiled eggs. I will stay here again, because the hotel is great otherwise!! Just don't expect much from the breakfast.

Very clean, comfortable bed. This a new hotel. At breakfast time it was very busy and both chafing dishes were empty. This is at 8:30 and they never got refilled the entire time we were at breakfast. So everyone was making waffles instead and the line was very long. Don't get me wrong thou, just because breakfast was kind of light, would definitely stay here again.

A very nice, clean, well-staffed no-frills hotel. Having stayed in all of Indianola's hotels I would choose to stay here again over the others. The rooms are clean and have ample amenities (including a large fridge), and the staff are very helpful. Parking is ample. Breakfast is average and in line with all other hotels in the area.

The rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff were friendly. A sign says pool and spa is permanently closed, disappointing as you don't know that until after you book. There was water in the pool and smelled like chlorine so doubting it is permanently closed. Feel they did it just for this busy weekend of travelers.

Encountered front desk staff twice throughout stay. First, after dropping stuff off in room. Room temperature was very cold, unable to adjust temperature on wall because battery dead in thermostat. Mentioned to front desk staff on the way out to dinner that a battery was needed in thermostat, the lady at the desk stated that we should have just adjusted the temperature on the ac unit itself. Tried to explain there was no window unit in our room and we were treated like we didn’t have a clue of what we were saying about the wall unit. Second encounter was calling the front desk around midnight about the room above us having people jumping and running around for over an hour at around midnight. We were told those people just came in and would probably be settling in and down shortly. Yet it went on for an additional 45 mins. Then awoke by the same at about 5am that next morning. No offer to change rooms or that they would go talk to the people who were up making all the noise. Needless to say, customer service at this location was close to nonexistent.

Breakfast was great, staff extremely helpful! There was a musty smell in the exercise room - found a humidifier “full” with some discoloration to the inside of the collection container that needed cleaning. They were short staffed - some “employees called in sick” Otherwise great place to stay. Would definitely stay here again. Extremely convenient location.
