Crystalbrook Cottage

Brilliant 2 bedroomed property with everything you could think of for a family of 4 (though the kids might have to share as it has 2 queen sized beds). Beds were comfy and the bedrooms were a great size with a tiny seating area and large TV in both. Lots of space in and outside of the house- with a BBQ area in the backyard and outdoor lounge and large table in the front yard, shaded by a large tree in the afternoon. We spent quite a bit of time outside as the weather was nice. Kitchen is fully equipped as is the laundry. The kids loved the Wii which kept them busy. There is also a fireplace which we were grateful it was cold enough one of the days so we could use it! So cosy, and our cat did not move from in front of the fire all day. The only downside to booking this property was the poorly written information between wotif.com and Alpine Valley Getaways who the property is run by about being pet friendly. Allegedly, this only applies to dogs which we found out after we had paid for this accommodation and tried to complete the online check process. The information was totally absent from wotif.com and in one tiny section of the terms and conditions on the AVG website that cats were not allowed. The language used was pet friendly and well behaved 4 legged pets. We were only allowed to take our cat post discussing with AVG over what a 4 legged pet was. In future, both sites need to use correct language in their ads. Pet friendly and dog only are very different concepts.

As told before and photos are our backup BBQ could not be used because of cobwebs everywhere it was not cleaned , spiders webs on all external windows and wasps and there nests all along the front eves.

Awesome cottage! Super clean and doggy friendly.

Great. Beautiful little house. Ample yard for the dog to play. Comfortable bed. The family didn’t want to leave.
