my family stayed here for 3nts. we had a car to get into town and stayed in cabin 4. my boys loved the roomy cabin and playing with the dog. the landscaping is very clean and manicured with walking trails and sunset viewing platforms. its nice to have coffee, sugar, soap, and a kitchen sponge in the cabin and not have to get such basic things at the grocery store. there is no ac but it is not needed. There was some water bottles and wine in the cabin that you could purchase but we had a car and went to the grocery to get what we needed. plenty of kitchen utensils, plates, cups, wine opener, everything you would need. The property is gated with private parking in front of the cabin. our cabin was wheelchair accessible with a little paved ramp and wider doors and a wheel in shower if you need it and handrails in the shower. shower is solar and very hot no worries about running out of hot water.

The family cabin we stayed in was perfect for us and had more than enough space for the five of us. The grounds themselves are beautifully landscaped. The staff is very friendly, informative, and helpful. Thank you Roy! We had a wonderful stay. The optional breakfast was delicious and nicely presented. The kitchen was well-stocked, which we took advantage of by cooking our own meals. Reliable hot water in the showers was a definite plus. There are some nice, short little trails on the property with beautiful flowers and foliage. The infamous three-wattled bell bird was making it's loud calls in the morning, but I wasn't able to spot it. I should have brought binoculars! The location is private, yet very close to town in Santa Elena, which has nice restaurants and shops. Easy access to all of the nature hikes, hanging bridges, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

Hotel is in a great location. Close to town for easy via car. Beautiful cottage style cabins . Staff are great and very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Property has nice walking trails and a platform to view amazing sunsets.

The host Roy was so helpful and nice. The Family cabin was clean and had lots of beds. The standard cabin was smaller but nice as well. Do be aware that in some of the cabins the only bathroom is on the 2nd floor, up a steep stairs. This was fine for younger folks but was difficult for my older parents. We loved the grounds and trails, we saw so many birds, butterflies, and pretty flowers. It was a quite and safe area and a very good price.

Our family of 6 loved our stay at Hotel de Cabañas Valle Campanas. We stayed in the two story family cabin. Check-in was very informative and we were led directly to our cabin. The cabin had plenty of space. The grounds were quite beautiful. Our kids loved the dog. We drove a large SUV which made backing out of the parking space at our cabin a bit tricky. Another option for us would have been to park at main reception, a two minute walk away. We ordered the breakfast each morning which was fantastic, and a great start to our day. An added bonus that it was brought to our cabin. On our last evening, we walked to the lookout point to watch the sunset over the valley below, a truly unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful property! We enjoyed our morning coffees on the upstairs deck and spent many hours on the hammock. There are nice walking trails around the cabins, a beautiful sunset watching area, and lots of birds to watch. The family is so friendly and welcoming. We would stay here again!

We stayed here just before Christmas 2024 for two nights. What an amazing place! As well, the staff is so friendly, Roy is also very helpful and helped us book all of our activities. His communication over WhatsApp was excellent and prompt! While on the property you must try their breakfast, it is an add on but worth it. They bring the breakfast right to your room, at the desired time, and put it on your kitchen table. Place was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the kitchens are well equipment to cook lunch or dinners if you desire. While on the property you must check out the sunset! There is a viewing structure on the property to view it from. This was an amazing place, we highly recommend! Beautiful property. Loved the area, will be back!

OMG the breakfast. So good. Local jams and honey and everything. And the house! So big, my goodness, and so clean and functional. Such nice bathrooms! Kinda a lot of critters in the place, but you don't go touristing in the jungle to avoid critters. A really nice hike on the grounds too, and the complementary family dog to accompany on hikes and show you to your cabaña was awesome.

Hotel de Cabañas Valle Campanas was a nice rustic place. The cabins were spread out nicely, with big private yards. We had breakfast brought to us each morning, freshly cooked and delivered by the family, to enjoy in our front yard with a very nice table. The host Roy was so helpful and nice. The Family cabin was clean and had lots of beds. The standard cabin was smaller but nice as well. Do be aware that in some of the cabins the only bathroom is on the 2nd floor, up a steep stairs. This was fine for younger folks but was difficult for my older parents. We loved the grounds and trails, we saw so many birds, butterflies, and pretty flowers. It was a quite and safe area and a very good price.

Our family of 6 loved our stay at Hotel de Cabañas Valle Campanas. We stayed in the two story family cabin. Check-in was very informative and we were led directly to our cabin. The cabin had plenty of space. The grounds were quite beautiful. Our kids loved the dog. We drove a large SUV which made backing out of the parking space at our cabin a bit tricky. Another option for us would have been to park at main reception, a two minute walk away. We ordered the breakfast each morning which was fantastic, and a great start to our day. An added bonus that it was brought to our cabin. On our last evening, we walked to the lookout point to watch the sunset over the valley below, a truly unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful property! We enjoyed our morning coffees on the upstairs deck and spent many hours on the hammock. There are nice walking trails around the cabins, a beautiful sunset watching area, and lots of birds to watch. The family is so friendly and welcoming. We would stay here again!

We stayed here just before Christmas 2024 for two nights. What an amazing place! As well, the staff is so friendly, Roy is also very helpful and helped us book all of our activities. His communication over WhatsApp was excellent and prompt! While on the property you must try their breakfast, it is an add on but worth it. They bring the breakfast right to your room, at the desired time, and put it on your kitchen table. Place was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the kitchens are well equipment to cook lunch or dinners if you desire. While on the property you must check out the sunset! There is a viewing structure on the property to view it from. This was an amazing place, we highly recommend! Beautiful property. Loved the area, will be back!

The staff is very friendly, informative, and helpful. Thank you Roy! We had a wonderful stay. The optional breakfast was delicious and nicely presented. The kitchen was well-stocked, which we took advantage of by cooking our own meals. Reliable hot water in the showers was a definite plus. There are some nice, short little trails on the property with beautiful flowers and foliage. The infamous three-wattled bell bird was making it's loud calls in the morning, but I wasn't able to spot it. I should have brought binoculars! The location is private, yet very close to town in Santa Elena, which has nice restaurants and shops. Easy access to all of the nature hikes, hanging bridges, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

But what made our stay 5 star was the kind staff and owner who helped us with a small issue like we cant find our phone to a bigger issue related to our car. This is a family owned, beautiful hotel with superb hospitality! Roy and his family has taken great care of the place and it truly feel special for us. Sunset was great. Roy also gave great recommendations on activities to do and local restaurants to try, everything was a hit, no miss. Their dog Draco is super friendly to welcome you everyday. We wish we could stay for longer~

The property is a great place for exploring the Monteverde area. The staff is great and helpful. The cabins are a bit dated and not a huge van of having the bathroom on the second floor and beds in your main living area on first floor. The driveway to the cabins is a one-way and can also get very muddy after raining close to the cabins. However, I would still strongly recommend the property because of the helpful staff, the location, and price.

Hotel is in a great location. Close to town for easy via car. Beautiful cottage style cabins . Staff are great and very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Property has nice walking trails and a platform to view amazing sunsets.

OMG the breakfast. So good. Local jams and honey and everything. And the house! So big, my goodness, and so clean and functional. Such nice bathrooms! Kinda a lot of critters in the place, but you don't go touristing in the jungle to avoid critters. A really nice hike on the grounds too, and the complementary family dog to accompany on hikes and show you to your cabaña was awesome.

There was no a/c but we were very comfortable at all times of the day in March. Roy was the best! He was informative, friendly, professional, and one of the best host I’ve ever met. Before my trip, Roy provided me information for another area that had nothing to do with my stay with them. My husband and I enjoyed our visit and highly recommend Hotel de Cabañas Valle Campanas. This family is wonderful.

I can’t say enough good about our stay here. The property was beautiful and the residences well kept. It was quaint and a perfect atmosphere. We opted for the breakfast and it was really great. For a gorgeous Costa Rica Experience, this is your stop.

The property is breathtaking. The cabins are cute and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. But what made our stay 5 star was the kind staff and owner who helped us with a small issue like we cant find our phone to a bigger issue related to our car. I would recommend this place to everyone and would definitely stay here every time come to costa rica.

Our family of 6 loved our stay at Hotel de Cabañas Valle Campanas. We stayed in the two story family cabin. Check-in was very informative and we were led directly to our cabin. The cabin had plenty of space. The grounds were quite beautiful. Our kids loved the dog. We drove a large SUV which made backing out of the parking space at our cabin a bit tricky. Another option for us would have been to park at main reception, a two minute walk away. We ordered the breakfast each morning which was fantastic, and a great start to our day. An added bonus that it was brought to our cabin. On our last evening, we walked to the lookout point to watch the sunset over the valley below, a truly unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a fantastic place to stay. My family slept more than comfortably in the family cabin. We opted for the positively delicious breakfast in the morning. It was complete with homemade honey, sugar cane syrup and fresh fruit.

La propiedad en general es muy bonita. Las cabañas rodeadas de áreas verdes y jardines. La Cabaña Atardecer es muy cómoda, con buen mantenimiento y bien equipada. La atención de Josué y Nazareth es excelente y ofrecen siempre apoyo en lo que se necesite. El ambiente es tranquilo y familiar. Nos proporcionaron un desayuno típico delicioso servido en la cabaña. Elaborado con productos hechos y/o producidos en la misma propiedad por ellos mismos (frutas, plátano, queso, miel de abeja, mermelada,café,..). Dentro de la propiedad tienen algunos cultivos, trapiche, un pequeño sendero y una pequeña plataforma para ver el atardecer hacia el Pacifico. Carretera completamente asfaltada y cerca del centro de Santa Elena. Totalmente recomendado. Esperamos volver en el futuro.

Great location and staff. Roy who runs the property was very helpful and friendly. The cabin was clean and while it was basic (as advertised) it had all the necessities and we were comfortable. It was a great camping feel with the convenience of the cabin. We were the closest cabin to the road so there was a lot of road noise at night, but all of the other cabins sat back far on the property and wouldn't have that issue. We felt very safe and comfortable. The whole property is gated and felt secure. Monteverde /Santa Elena was a very safe feeling town. Our kids played at the small community park next to the hotel with some local kids and had a great time.

What an amazing property. It is absolutely beautiful from the time you drive in the gates. Reception was very warm and helpful. The family obviously deeply cares about their guest experience. After a very quick check in and sharing of info they walked us right to our cabana. Inside was spotless clean and in great condition. Great kitchen and bathroom with more than enough hot water for everyone. We took the walking trail around the property with the family puppy and even saw a coati.

Beautiful and convenient setting in Monteverde area. It's quite secluded and very opulently landscaped-- dead silent overnight. The bathroom is almost comedically large and felt very relaxing with great natural light. THAT SAID, the skylight in the master bedroom made sleeping in difficult (it does have a diffuser shade on it but no light-blocking option).... so plan on eyeshade or getting up with the sunrise if you have a light-sensitive sleeper. The middle (2 beds) room doesn't have this issue. It did not affect our plans as we were planning early starts anyway, but is worth noting. There was a large hammock available that we didn't have time to try out and some friendly pets on site. Gated compound and this cabin was quite deep into it, so very secure-- but the whole area feels very safe and restful anyway.
