On Hwy 2, just a few minutes from Leavenworth, next to a cute restaurant/bar and near Lake Wenatchee is Squirrel Tree resort. Newly renovated, there are six units with views of the trees. There are earplugs if the highway noise is too loud. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are nice. The rooms are basic, but clean and rustic. Check-in at the restaurant. The owner is nice and they roast their own coffee. The staff at the restaurant are helpful and attentive. Special shout-out to Miss Maddy who helped us get checked in, got our delicious dinner and also assisted when the batteries for our door needed to be replaced. She was AWESOME!!! Thanks for a peaceful rest and conveniently located unit for our adventure.

Loved this place for our first night out. Super dog and kid friendly. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE! The owner is great and provided everything needed. Tesla supercharger right behind property so super convenient for us. Food, drinks and coffee were great too!

This was a one stop shop with a cozy place to stay, restaurant, bar, coffee shop, and gas station next door. The drive to Leavenworth and nearby hiking trails is close and scenic. Only thing to note is there no Ubers in the area, so you must plan to drive to all area locations.

Wonderful location just off the highway, only a short drive to Leavenworth and to Stephen's pass. The bartender Christiana was very pleasant and had a lot of good info on where to eat in town and the restaurant had an amazing breakfast. The rooms were clean and priced very well, absolute 10/10 place to stay. We will be returning for sure!

Great place just a few minutes from town but much less expensive. Stayed here only 12 hours or so, because we got in later and departed very early for a hike, but had an enjoyable time. Large grassy area with lawn games & dining tables. Log cabin vibes inside restaurant & lounge. Desserts homemade by owner. Nice people. Only wish room had a couple more electrical outlets for charging things, etc. but not a big deal. Might be fun to stay during winter too. Owner said they rent snowshoes.

The room was renovated. It has a little musty smell and the bathroom fan doesn't seem to work. The decor was nice, the beds were comfortable, the fridge has a freezer which was cool, large closet. Wish the restaurant sold a logo shirt instead of only one with booty shorts.

The place was very clean and th staff was friendly. There was no hand soap but plenty of body wash. It was lacking in furniture as there were no nightstands or desk/table to work or write.

We have stayed here several times over the past 8 years with our Labradoodle Abbi. We always stay in the end unit. If had plenty of room and a nice size closent area. Super clean.We were able to park our van and boat right next to the room. Even was able to plug in our boat batteries. The rooms now have automatic locks on the outside door. Even though it located right on Hwy 2, we barely heard and traffic. The air conditioner worked great in 90 deg weather. Super dog friendly. We love the large, fenced area in back. We can eat in the restaurant, then go get our pup and enjoy a drink next to the larger campfire. The owner is awesome and a hard worker. Many times he served us a meal in the restaurant. We have seen all the updates he has made over the years.

This was a nice stop to stay overnight between our next hiking adventure. The room is exactly as shown. The beds are on platform frames so it could be hard to get out of if you have hip or knee issues. This is 15 miles from Leavenworth. No little town around it. Nice little restaurant and bar next door.

This property is small and next to a gas station. Seems a bit tacky on the outside but its good for what it is. It is clean, spacious, and modern enough on the inside. I would recommend it!

Nice updated rooms. We were about 18 min from Leavenworth but well worth it considering it was Labor Day weekend and didn’t want to be in the chaos. Cafe and breakfast were great.

It’s a cute place and the restaurant next door was quite good. Due to an injury we asked to cancel part of our reservation. The owner said he would give us partial refund if he was able to rent it out - which he did - yet nothing. I get that it’s a small business and want to support that but this experience will give me pause on non-refundable reservation policies in the future.

This was not a place that will get my business again. The room is an afterthought. There is no dedicated check in or out location, you have to go into the restaurant for both. I had a 70.00 charge on my bank account the day after with absolutely no explanation, no receipt and no contact. There is no parking lines so everyone else is crammed into the parking area. This room also was supposed to be pet friendly but it really comes down to you can have a pet but we will be charging you extra (those $70 fees im guessing since there was no other possible reason)if your pet moves inside the room. This is a firm no for me and my family going forward and I have already let all my friends who were thinking about it know that this should not be a part of their plans to visit Leavenworth.

The owner was super nice as was most of the staff. Only had one somewhat rude server during our entire stay. They have a bar, restaurant, and coffee house all on the property. They even roast their own beans. Rooms have recently been remodeled and were beautifully done. We will definitely be back.

We were very happy with our stay. My husband wanted to buy a glass of milk and they just gave him some. They also gave us a bag of ice for our cooler. Very hospitable. I would go back. It was about 25 min. from Leavenworth.

Breakfast wasn't complimentary, only discounted. Check-in was confusing (must check in at restaurant or bar. The instructions on here say contact the hotel, but the hotel doesn't write back if you do that - they have to be called. If you're not there by the time they want to close the restaurant, they call you to check in. The 11 pm comment doesn't matter.). Room was lacking things like a bath mat for the shower (shower only), and ample towels. (2 only - for 2 people). Pillows were a mix of memory foam, feather, and maybe one standard. Hotel is about 20 minutes outside of Leavenworth. Scenery was lovely.

Hotel is about 20 minutes outside of Leavenworth. Scenery was lovely.

It's about 20 mins away from Leavenworth, not a lot to do in walking distance besides the onsite cafe and diner but the short proximity to town is short and it's relatively quiet despite being right next to the highway exit. The motel is clean and larger than expected.

This was a nice stop to stay overnight between our next hiking adventure. The room is exactly as shown. The beds are on platform frames so it could be hard to get out of if you have hip or knee issues. This is 15 miles from Leavenworth. No little town around it. Nice little restaurant and bar next door.

Nice updated rooms. We were about 18 min from Leavenworth but well worth it considering it was Labor Day weekend and didn’t want to be in the chaos. Cafe and breakfast were great.

We had a great stay.It was away from town which was good for our dog,and we sat out in the sun instead of having to stay in the room.The restaurant and bar were both enjoyable and convenient.Plus town was only 15 minutes away for doing the tourist stuff.Staff were all friendly.

I was drawn to the property by the great photos of the original restaurant. It is a log constructed building that is beautiful. The additional bar was built to look like the old restaurant and almost made it. The motel rooms, although comfortable, have no relation to any of the rustic architecture of the original restaurant. The other reason I tried this place to stay is that the way they presented it on Expedia was that it was a hop skip and a jump to Leavenworth. It is about 15 miles west of downtown, and those 15 miles are not an easy drive, especially in the dark. When I booked my reservation, I could have had most any motel in Leavenworth on the river for the same price. Unfortunately we were disappointed.

Falsely advertised that the property was in Leavenworth but is actually 20 miles away. When we called to cancel the appointment because of this they refused to refund our rate. Also refused to post this review because it didn't meet their posting guidlines.

Located next to the Tesla supercharger and a short 10 minute drive to Lake Wenatchee State park for awesome trail running and swimming. The staff was so friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. The house made veggie burger was delicious!! Highly recommend as a pit stop on your summer road trip.

Wonderful location just off the highway, only a short drive to Leavenworth and to Stephen's pass. The bartender Christiana was very pleasant and had a lot of good info on where to eat in town and the restaurant had an amazing breakfast. The rooms were clean and priced very well, absolute 10/10 place to stay. We will be returning for sure!

We loved our stay at The Squirrel Tree! The room was very nice and clean. Loved that we could walk over in the morning for a delightful breakfast. We spent our days in Leavenworth. Then came back and enjoyed the bar. Great drinks and hours of playing pool. Upstairs. Can wait to come back again in the summer and enjoy some live music in the back area!

Not too impressed with this place. We did an overnight to visit Leavenworth, I know it said how far but it just seemed like a long drive into town. Close to Lake Wenatchee though! The room was extremely plain and outdated! It had a strange odor. Even though it was nice to have a restaurant next door it was spendy!! I feel we were putting the morning waitress out of her way to be there! Anyway will not be on my list to stay again! Went with inexpensive but kind of thought it would be slightly nicer!

Hidden gem just off of the hwy! Beautifully renovated inside! I loved the close proximity to Wenatchee Lake! Great spot to stay for a one nighter en route to Seattle from the Okanagan. We stayed on a Saturday and there was live music and great vibes! Recommend!

Staff for check in were friendly and helpful. Parking was no problem. Room seemed to have been recently modernized, especially bathroom. Adding hooks for towels, etc., in bathroom would be helpful. Had two queen beds -- mattresses seemed to be foam and fairly firm. Restaurant attached to motel was quite nice with very good food, especially the breakfast potatoes! Having a diner nearby gave an option for dining. Only drawback was being 15 miles from Leavenworth. While drive from motel to Leavenworth is easy and scenic, I thought we'd be closer to the downtown area. However, motel is close to Lake Wenatchee and the state and federal parks on the lake.

It’s a motel next to a restaurant and has no front desk etc.. you go inside the restaurant to check in or get any assistance which is pretty inconvenient.. it’s a good 20 minutes away from Leavenworth, so worth considering in case you wanted to be in middle of the town.. additionally the location and feel of the motel makes you feel a little uneasy.. Staff is super nice and very friendly and helpful..

Very charming historic motel/restaurant / bar. Food and drinks were excellent, although the desserts were too huge to finish 😉. If you are expecting The four seasons, this is not your place. But if you want a clean, comfortable, and pet friendly hotel in a great location, this is for you.
