The location is great. Walkable to town. Pool and lake area with rooftop bar and restaurant allow you to just relax if you don’t want to go to town. Staff was very friendly and property is very clean.

The front desk girl at checkout was a very friendly and helpful. But our bathroom door wouldn't shut. The staff at the Rooftop lounge was the rudest I've ever experienced, and was disappointed that there is a 10pm curfew for all outdoor areas. You can't even go sit by the lake quietly to relax after 10pm. Will probably try a different place next time we visit.

Hotel was very clean and beds were comfortable. Walking distance to many shops, bars, and restaurants. Pool and beach area was very nice. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice place but definitely not a resort and they charge you $20 extra a day for a resort fee. Beach area is small. Our room was comfortable.

Everything went as expected except there happened to be a wedding at the time of check in. This made it challenging to find a parking space near our room.

The property is very clean well maintained . It’s is quite large and very occupied. I didn’t like that guests were showing up at the beach early morning and reserving chairs (by placing towels and other items on several chairs) … they also did this at the pool ! Therefore, when we got there at 10-11 am there was only 1 place that was vacant..! This should not be allowed to happen ! It is not a large beach !!!

It was a nice stay off season. However, i wish the site would say what's open and not charge resort fees when there is nothing to do. Not even the rooftop bar was open.

Parking is atrocious. Lakeside rooms are actually facing the pool. Overly priced for a double room with the 2nd room being the size of a closet. Overall- nice resort. Plenty of amenities and one of the biggest beaches on the strip

Room was what we asked for, very clean and well appointed. From the picture of the room balcony, we thought we were getting a lake view. Our view was the back of a building. Management told me we got what we paid for. The property offered many amenities, pool, private beach, water equipment, etc. but there were lots of stairs to access them. Mobility challenges made it difficult to use. The resort is very nice, very clean and comfortable.

Dirty old motel that never changed our sheets! We had to walk up 3 sets of old rusty steps to get to our crappy little room with holes in the walls. Carpet in front of the room was stained and about 20 years old! Place was disgusting! We left we couldn’t do it! I don’t recommend and will never be back! Over price awful place. I recommend Scotty’s resort down the street!

Excellent location and view from room was perfect! Everything was neat and orderly and there were sufficient towels and general supplies. I was impressed with having dishes provided in the cabinets! I was not impressed with the cleanliness. There were webs around the corners of the beautiful window looking onto the lake and hanging from the ceiling. There was also plenty of dust on the lamp hanging over the table and on the floor behind the bathroom door. Dishes, countertops and coffee pot were sparkling but I don't know if they were actually clean so I cleaned myself. The floor except where I noted behind the bathroom door was dust free.

It’s just okay. Layout of facility is difficult. Room was roomy but could be cleaner. Musty smell and found air conditioner filter with an inch of dust. Pool is nice. Lunch on balcony good if you can find it. Overall I’ll try some where else next time.

We had a lakefront room that was clean, convenient, and close to all the town’s amenities. The staff was great & our room was cleaned every day. We couldn’t have asked for more- the price was great!

This a great hotel, reasonably priced for the area (in early October). With its own beach and pool, and in walking distance to the downtown area, it really can’t be beat! I enjoyed my stay so much that I asked to stay another night and while my current room was unavailable, they let me move straight away into a room downstairs. Both rooms were nice, but had noticeable dust and heavy cobwebs on the walls and lights above the sink; everything else was very clean! My only complaint is that the plumbing/water in the shower is so insanely loud- I could even hear the neighbors. These are minor in the grand scheme, if you are ever in the Adirondacks/visiting Lake George, I highly recommend staying here!!

Room was dirty, cob webs, dead bugs smashed on the ceiling and walls, spiders under the counters. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, paint peeling off of the ceiling in the bathroom. Shower heads leaked, had black mold on then as well. Light fixture was broken. Charged $15 a day for an extra person, when we stayed in a room with 3 queen beds. Stayed with 3 adults and 1 child (5 year old). Max Room occupancy is 6 on the website. Upon checkout, front desk employee told me that the manager was to busy to see me, I asked about the extra person charge and some type of discount due to the lack of cleanliness in the room. Manager told the front desk worker that they were to busy to see me. I checked out early on a Monday morning. Only reason that I did not review “terrible” is because the room was cleaned after I complained. However, how do you allow this upon check in without some sort of quality control before. Would not recommend this place.

This is primarily a summer resort that being said the heat would not go down in the room even tho it was 20 degrees outside the only way to cool off the room was to leave the door open. Then wake up at 3am cuz it was freezing in the room. Called downstairs the first night but there was no one to help that night. Went to the front deak the bezt morning they said they would fix it. Left the room for a day of ice fishing and dinner got back to the rook around 8pm to the same heat situation and again because of the time no one was there to help us with it again. So that was annoying. Also there is no working wifi.

Stayed in premiere 2 Bdrm on 3rd floor. 3 adults & 3 kids. Plenty of room! Loved the big shared balcony with picnic tables & umbrellas. We also had a private balcony. Kids loved going back & forth to the lake & pool(so convenient being right on the lake. Enjoyed the cabana bar & restaurant. Nice being able to walk around the village to shop & eat & not have to drive. All workers we talked to were very pleasant. We would definitely go back!

This was a lakefront property. The cheaper rooms were closer to the road and I actually preferred that. The balcony was quiet and the door had hallway access. Beautiful views of the lake. Great location to town.

Upon check-in I told Sadie at the front desk that I had paid extra to not be on the first floor because I felt unsafe. Sadie looked and then informed me that the hotel was booked and there were no second floor properties available for less than an extra $100 per night. She then said it was Expedia's problemThe hotel was empty except for (starting at 5am) a large group of loud spanish speaking men who stayed in the parking lot outside of my sliding door the entire day until a large white van picked them up at the end of the day. The ac never worked and I had to crack my door for air so in addition to safety issues never slept because of the loud men outside my door daily. The bath also does not have a vent so good luck traveling with a partner. Stay somewhere else, there is a million better choices all around the area and Sadie should consider a job not in customer service

Surfside was absolutely amazing! The staff was so pleasant, and Olivia went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We had a small issue with our AC, but the maintenance team was quick to take care of it and, just like the rest of the staff, they were incredibly friendly. The GM was also very welcoming and helpful, which made us feel right at home. Our room (412) was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The pool area was clean and well maintained, and the gentleman who oversees the beach and pool was wonderful—very knowledgeable and even shared great fishing tips with us. Overall, Surfside has an incredible team that truly cares about families having a great experience. This was our second time staying here, and it was just as special as the first. We can’t wait to come back next year!

The pool area was clean and well maintained, and the gentleman who oversees the beach and pool was wonderful—very knowledgeable and even shared great fishing tips with us. Overall, Surfside has an incredible team that truly cares about families having a great experience. This was our second time staying here, and it was just as special as the first. We can’t wait to come back next year!

The front desk girl at checkout was a very friendly and helpful. But our bathroom door wouldn't shut. The staff at the Rooftop lounge was the rudest I've ever experienced, and was disappointed that there is a 10pm curfew for all outdoor areas. You can't even go sit by the lake quietly to relax after 10pm. Will probably try a different place next time we visit.

The check in front desk staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, had an inconsistent with my young daughter and they checked us in early and let us use the facitities. Absolutely the worst hotel experience of my life! Be warned: they lied about the room type. I booked what was advertised as a two-bedroom suite, but on arrival it was just a cramped one-bedroom suite with an extra bed in the common space. When I calmly raised this with the front desk, they sneered “too bad for you” and shouted over me the entire time I tried to speak. They admitted they don’t even have real two-bedroom suites but refused to move us or make it right. When I pressed the issue, they ordered me and my party to leave the premises under threat of calling the police. That was all while I hadn’t checked out and still had a charge on my card. Imagine paying for a stay, being screamed at, kicked out for daring to object, and then still billed for it. And even if management hadn’t been hostile, the room itself was appalling: horrendous odor, rundown furniture, noise from every direction (not an exaggeration), and multiple “amenities” closed without warning. No breakfast, no rooftop, despite being the very reasons we booked. In short: false advertising, abusive staff, unlivable conditions, and fraudulent billing. Stay far, far away.

The property was very clean. We stayed in the building that has indoor hallways and that was great. Housekeeping was good. Front desk staff needs training on how to deal with customers. Upon check out we asked for a 30 mins extra because the fire alarm woke us twice the last night we were there. We were told flat out no after spending 5 nights there and a pretty penny! The mattress was not very comfortable either. Front desk staff not very friendly or welcoming seemed to argue with all the customers. When customer said something they always had a rude answer. Staff needs training on customer service.

I think someone needs to retrain staff on hospitality- the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers. When you walk into the lobby you are not acknowledged. Even if you are on the phone or the computer, it takes 2 seconds to acknowledge a customers presence. I dont expect anyone to get a call but to stand there for 5mins with no acknowledgment is crazy. And the passive aggressive, unprofessional manager. If you have an issue, you should be worked with, offered a new room etc-not told well nobody else has complained or you shoukd have hot water by tonight because the building is empty-hot water is not an unreasonable request. Room was clean, pillows not great, space was nice, appliances were crap, property was clean, breakfast was great, parking can be an issue. It has great potential but training is needed for sure.

This a great hotel, reasonably priced for the area (in early October). With its own beach and pool, and in walking distance to the downtown area, it really can’t be beat! I enjoyed my stay so much that I asked to stay another night and while my current room was unavailable, they let me move straight away into a room downstairs. Both rooms were nice, but had noticeable dust and heavy cobwebs on the walls and lights above the sink; everything else was very clean! My only complaint is that the plumbing/water in the shower is so insanely loud- I could even hear the neighbors. These are minor in the grand scheme, if you are ever in the Adirondacks/visiting Lake George, I highly recommend staying here!!

This was a lakefront property. The cheaper rooms were closer to the road and I actually preferred that. The balcony was quiet and the door had hallway access. Beautiful views of the lake. Great location to town.

Location is perfect for our trip. The staff was friendly. But the shower was awful. There was such a low water pressure it was hard to even wash shampoo out of your hair. And many of the showers were very very loud.

Second time staying at this property! Two small children, convenient to town, lake is safe & clean, decent pool and nice rooftop with delicious bar food. Breakfast on site. Rooms in the front are a bit outdated, stay more down towards the lake if you can. Will say I was highly disappointed with the front staff, highly unprofessional after a miscommunication with using lakeside after “check out” be aware, can not stay on property past 11am lol

Didn't like that the restaurant added an automatic gratuity to the check. The check was taken when a card was presented and not returned. When the debit card signature slip was presented, there was no way of knowing. Also had a snack at the outside bar and the lack of attentiveness from the bartender was unreal. Took over seven minutes for her to greet me, and she wasn't busy. Also i could see my food at her service station and she ignored it for five minutes which she told another guest her life story. At times like these i wish i could be an obnoxious guest and chew he out but that's not me.

Room was updated renovated and very clean, only two little complaints was AC unit was dirty fuzzy and the door needs a gasket. Property is in a great location, beach & small boats available. Walkable to everything. Breakfast onsite was very basic for the price paid.

It would have been nice to have a bar and Restraunt as advertised. But they were all closed on holiday weekend. Booked there to have the facilities on site and had nothing. Waste of money very unhappy about with stay. Had to pay a 25 dollar a day resort fee which is fine but no drink or food available at the resort.

Positive - The location was close to town and the amentities were a perk especially the free lake toys. Negative - The lounge chairs were worn out and quite a few broken. The sheets and one towel had some marks but they changed them for us. The room floors were new but sandy and sticky in one spot upon arrival. They cleaned when I requested. Other parts of the hotel were run down as well but we knew we were staying at a 2/3 star. However, the manager was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I received a message asking me to rate the hotel on a scale of one to five. I rated it a 3.5. Then I received a follow-up message asking me to elaborate as to why I gave that rating. I wrote a very short reply including my positives and negatives as mentioned above. About an hour later I received a text message from I staff member at the hotel insulting me and "yelling" at me. I had to block her. Never experienced that before.

Clean comfortable room. Beautiful view and pool area. My grandkids love the deck for lunch. Parking is a challenge as well as the stairs. They do have a parking garage.

Love this place! Come yearly with my daughter for a trip for 2 nights and have the best time. Clean rooms, pool and beach area. Don't even have to leave the grounds to have a good time. Always a good meal at the cabana restaurant with awesome service. Only thing they could improve on is there breakfast. Breakfast service is terrible and food seems like it's frozen, not the best so we do go offsite for breakfast.
