Check in snd check out was straight forward and quick. Bed was comfortable. Thermostat didnt seem to work very well, but i found a manual overide so was able to keep the room at a good temp. Bathroom had a maintenance areas on the walls and door (the bathroom also lacked a fan). The kitchen had pots and pans and utencils! Overall a great motel! Rates were great! Would definitly stay there again if in the area - very recommended.

Its old but it was clean. I booked the suite and was surprised at the size- there was a separate bedroom which would be perfect for families Fyi- youll blow a breaker if you try running the microwave and the ac at the same time

I liked the new appliances and flooring. The room was a bit dated but clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and seemed new. The bathroom was a bit on the small side but the shower was great, lots of pressure. I would stay here again, very good value. The outside could use some love, big parking spaces.

Very clean. Especially loved the kitchenette with all the cooking supplies! Very roomy 2 bedroom suite and was so pleased how quiet the heater was! Not pleased about the grassy area around the hotel which was unkempt and dirty.

This property was very economical and easy access from the highway. These were my main criteria for the booking as all I needed was a place to sleep. The room was very quiet (probably partly because there were very few guests. There might have been only two or three rooms occupied including mine.) which allowed me to have a really good sleep. All the rooms have exterior access with parking right outside the room. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized there were some food outlets within walking distance, so I went out and got a snack.

Best bang for you buck. Nothing fancy but for an overnight stop on a road trip it has all I would need. Clean and comfortable. Nice fridge to keep things cool. A nice area behind the property to walk my dog.

Quiet clean rooms. Decent bed, although the frame has a centre post on each side which is a real toe smasher. Perhaps owners could wrap them with some foam or a pool noodle. I often stay here. Nothing fancy, but good value for the price. Coffee pot, microwave and fridge provided.

The room was dirty and stinky with garbage on the floor and food in the fridge. The TV didn’t work. The bed was decent but everything else felt gross. There was no additional lock on the door, only the doorknob. The shower started out good but go cold toward the end. The front desk clerk and his dog were very friendly. I have stayed here in the past and the last time was better, despite the entire floor being soaking wet. For the price, I took my chance a second time. I don’t think I will be back, unfortunately.

The room wasn't particularly clean. I was a bit grossed out and therefore didn't have a particularly restful night. The mattress was also a bit too firm and the pillows were very thin. I didn't dare using the coffee machine and preferred to purchase coffee outside the premises. Reception was supposed to be open from 7am but when I checked out at around 7.30am the door was locked and there was no one to be seen - apart from a ginger cat lying by the door - so I still had to drop the room key in the key box by the front office. Overall, not a terrible stay but also far from great. I wouldn't stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Key didn't open door, room smelled of cigarette smoke, carpet was filthy, hair on sheets in both beds, pillows smelled of sweat. Obviously no housekeeping

The shower/tub had not been cleaned since the last guest (I had to scoop up hair), and there was no toilet paper or tissues in the room. Good thing I had an emergency supply in the car! (I arrived quite late in the evening and did not want to bother the owner.) The shower head also needs to be replaced. Two hard jets of water got the job done, but it was a little painful. Bed was okay and the sheets were clean.

I wasn’t expecting anything fancy. The room itself was clean and tidy but the smell was something to be desired. Very old and musty. It was cheap so I got what I paid for. Only had to sleep for a few hours. If they could do something about the smell it would have been a better experience.

We just needed an inexpensive place to sleep and then get driving again the next morning. I booked this place because the reviews I read mostly said it was basic and old but very clean. It was not clean. There was a ring around the tub and a used bar of soap left in the corner. Dirt in the corners of the rooms and stains on the sheets. The fridge also had some kind of spill on a couple shelves, obviously not checked and cleaned recently. Fine otherwise.

Didn’t like too much. The metal bed frame was larger than the mattress and I hurt my foot on the frame because it protruded. The dial on the a/c and heater was missing and we had a problem adjusting the room temperature and the fan of the unit was extremely loud. Difficult to balance hot and cold water in the shower. Toilet very low. Room needs to be updated. No secondary lock on the entrance door. No deadbolt or security latch.

The motel is starting to show its age; its at least 65 years old, judging by the style of the sign. There are some screens coming off windows, and there were signs of age: there are bottle openers in the bathrooms, which made us giggle and reminisce. But the owners and staff were wonderful, as were the motel's cats. The rooms were small, and very comfortable and we slept well. For the price, we'd happily go back again. And there were lots of small restaurants nearby, with a wide selection of food choices from fast food to a family-owned restaurant with a Sunday buffet!

We arrived right at check in time. No person at the check in desk… had to go hunt him down. Payment had to be made before we saw the room. First thing I saw when I opened the door was a big stain on the floor. Checked the bathroom. There was like a few sheets of toilet paper… no spare roll. No facecloths. Opened the covers on the bed to check the sheets and there was no top sheet. The whole room felt dirty. There was a group of young adults two doors down from us that were outside constantly until about 3 am. Needless to say did not get a lot of sleep. I would not recommend this motel. It was in quite a disrepair. We stayed as we had already paid for the room.

The front desk fellow was very friendly. The motel is older, but very tidy and clean. I really liked how quiet it was, which allowed for a very good night sleep after an extremely long day.

We've stayed here several times over recent years during east to west and west to east travels. The staff are friendly. The accommodations are comfortable and competitively priced. The location is close to Hwy 1. Will stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in this older motel. It is somewhat dated but the beds were newer and very comfortable. Although it's just off the trans-canada highway, it was quiet.

This property was very economical and easy access from the highway. These were my main criteria for the booking as all I needed was a place to sleep. The room was very quiet (probably partly because there were very few guests. There might have been only two or three rooms occupied including mine.) which allowed me to have a really good sleep. All the rooms have exterior access with parking right outside the room. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized there were some food outlets within walking distance, so I went out and got a snack.

For the price point, I would give this a 100% rating. It's clean and adequate. Yes you can nitpick this place to death like the other low reviews. It's an older decor that has been well maintained for its age. The provided coffee is actually quite good but they don't have whitener or cream, so nab some from the coffee station at the 7-Eleven down the street or buy some.

Very run down room and springs gone on one side of the bed. Good coffee, fridge and microwave. I couldn't get the tv volume up. You get what you pay for🙂

Clean and lots of quick places to eat. Sadly they didn’t have any creamer in the room for my coffee first thing in the morning. I hope this is an oversight and not a policy. Other than that, things were fine.

Quiet clean rooms. Decent bed, although the frame has a centre post on each side which is a real toe smasher. Perhaps owners could wrap them with some foam or a pool noodle. I often stay here. Nothing fancy, but good value for the price. Coffee pot, microwave and fridge provided.

The main light to the room when you enter the room did not work. Both light bulbs were burnt out. There was no password in the room as to connect to the wifi and no password was given by the manager.

Most of the carpet in the room was wet. Room smelled musty. Alot of water stains on walls & ceiling. Mold on window ledges. Very flat pillows, so take one of your own with you.

The individual who checked us in was extremely helpful. The motel was dated and could definitely use some TLC to make it more inviting and modern. The rooms were clean but because of the physical condition it didn't feel clean. It is in a good location if you are just using the room as a layover in you trip. Air conditioner worked well. I gave the rating I did because it was exactly what we needed at the price point we wanted. Bouquets to the desk clerk who checked us on.

The room smelled of smoke and the smell was embedded in the furnishings. Windowsills were covered in thick dust. No bedside lamp. Key didn't work properly in the door and the manager had to show me the "trick" to get it to open. The only positive thing about the place was the friendliness of the manager.
