They did everything possible to make my stay a memorable one. Cookies and a red velvet cupcake. The lhallway and elevator is a bit dated but the room was excellent. The location iwas great as well. Minutes walk from the trolley, Petco park and convention center.

Located in downtown SD, very nice and easy to access. Parking isn’t the best and it is expensive. 60$ for 20hrs of parking. Also be aware of homeless in the area.

Booked in a rush and didn't realize the location. It's right above a bar! Bars don't close til 3-4 am, and the music is VERY loud. The room itself was nice and small. Also, be aware that this place doesn't offer parking! We found a parking garage about a 5 minute walk away

Excellent location, excellent instruction. If possible, get an Uber as parking is crazy! We had zero problems during our stay. Large shower, nice towels, decent bed and pillows. Very clean and lots of attention to detail! Would definitely stay here again!

This place was just what my husband and I needed for our one-night stay in San Diego. The bed was comfy, the place was clean, and it had all the amenities. This is a great place if you're staying for more than a few days so you can cook or store food such you're not eating out every meal. But because of it's amazing location, you have ALL kinds of food options! The only issue is that you are directly above a street with nightlife so there is a lot of noise, but the hotel actually provided excellent ear plugs 👍 It's just something to be aware of for future bookers. Overall, a great place. Would definitely stay again.

I loved staying here. The host left me a little goodie bag which was so sweet! I read a lot of reviews complaining about outside street noise but I didn’t have that issue at all. I felt super safe due to the code access on the doors. I’d stay again. So many nice food spots and night clubs that you can walk to and I parked in a parking garage for about $13

Very noisy, directly above a live music venue with live music on both sides and construction next door. 5th Ave is party central in San Diego. A plaque in the room said there were earplugs and a white noise machine so you could sleep but there were no earplugs and the white noise machine did not work. I bought earplugs at CVS so I could get some sleep. There is no one there; everything is done through texting with their "virtual front desk." I mentioned the noise situation to Kara and they sent me a $25.00 gift certificate for lunch. The room was clean. The bed was about 14 inches above the floor, a mattress on a little wood platform without boxspring. It was awkward for getting up. To be fair, they also offered a discount for my next stay.

The area was perfect and the room was nice however the floor was kinda dirty and the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great. Other than those two small things I had a great time and a nice stay I will definitely stay there again.

The most important thing you need to know is that it is directly above a VERY busy bars and surrounded by a lot of other bars and club. They do provide earplugs and a noise machine which we turned on to the loudest setting. Luckily i was tired and fell asleep right away anyways. But do not stay here if you are a light sleeper. The hallway downstairs & elevator smell pretty bad but once you’re in the room, everything is clean, no smell at all. The bed was comfortable and it is roomy and the kitchen came in handy. They did leave us a cupcake at the door i think maybe to apologize for the noise we would hear being in a room facing the street. Super convenient location and it was an easy walk to Petco & food

Great location and close to convention centre and local transportation networks. Was easy to get around and explore the city. Neat location and enjoyed the historic aspect of the building. Room was quiet (I specifically asked for a room on the top floor and they were able to accomodate) and clean and I felt safe. Only complaints is the bed was really hard and windows were so dirty you couldn't really see out of them (but I wasn't there for the view so not a big deal). Showers lack any water pressure but it did the job. Overall it was a cute room and I would stay again.

The hotel is located is a great place right in the middle of the GasLamp Quarter. Restaurants and bars galore. The room was like a mini apartment. Nicely furnished and clean. Very easy virtual check in process. The unit could use some maintenance and the bed and pillows could be upgraded. As some have said you can hear music from one of the bars next door but it wasn’t bad and we had no trouble sleeping. For the price this was a great place overall.

Everything was great. Was worried it might be noisy because of location in the Gaslamp and it being Super Bowl, but everything was quiet and they even supplied earplugs just in case. Check in/check out was simple and no issues. Great value, clean and updated room with a nice little kitchen. Will definitely stay again.

I love how convenient it was to go to eat and have a drink when we were staying 2 minutes away from everything! I only have 2 complaints the first is the smell once you leave your room, it smells like boiled cabbage and the second complaint which is very minor is the fact the TV is not in the bedroom but in the living room and didn't work. Outside of the 2 little complaints the stay was amazing and I loved the whole mini apartment we stayed in!!

Our room was a spacious well equipped one bedroom unit with skylights and a kitchenette in a small hotel in an old building right in the center of the Gaslamp District. Although renovated and the room was in decent condition, the building showed some wear and tear. My wife and I stayed for four nights. During our first night, after 1:30 AM, there was on and off loud construction noise and loud conversation in Spanish on our corridor and below our window outside until 6 AM. After complaining, this did not happen again. During our last two days we had no hot water. This could not be remedied. I guess we had bad luck and the hotel would deserve a better review but, based on our experience, I cannot go beyond two stars.

Location worked well for a business trip (Convention Center was a 10-min walk). Noise wasn't a problem, but I think that's more because of the room I got (the only window was in the bedroom -- the lack of any other windows, particularly in San Diego, made the rest of the roomy apartment feel constricting).

In the room I had there was only one window - it was in the bedroom, and the bed was blocking the window. I really appreciate waking up to natural light when i have my coffee; not in this space. Disappointed. The room was clean, yet dated. The huge air conditioning fan was in the bedroom and was on-off-on-off all night; a bit disrupting. Other than that, The area on Fifth avenue was lively and offering many places to eat and socialize- and also close to the convention center. There is also a grocery store nearby to buy supplies for breakfast and take-out.

This hotel is RIGHT in the heart of the GasLamp district and so has all the advantages and disadvantages that this entails. It is not going to be quiet until quite late at night, but then if you stay here why are you not out partying and being part of the noise? The room suite is nice and spacious with room to sit and lounge about. The communication from the remote management was fast and accurate and I did not mind not having someone there to ask.

This property is located right above 5th street and places you right in the center of the action of the Gaslamp District. Walkable to Petco Park, Convention Center, Seaport Village.

Have never left a review for past travel, but this stay at Kasa San Diego was magnificent. Check in process was extremely easy, communication is great, and the place was super quiet. I was even greeted with a delicious gift! The room is a good size for two travelers and has so many amenities. Only suggestion is to place a bigger Kasa sign in front of property building as we did pass it at first and sending the parking options one day prior instead of 30 min before check in.
Have never left a review for past travel, but this stay at Kasa San Diego was magnificent. Check in process was extremely easy, communication is great, and the place was super quiet. I was even greeted with a delicious gift! The room is a good size for two travelers and has so many amenities. I had trouble getting into the property at first, but got immediate and courteous help. It was clean and very nicely equipped in the kitchenette, etc. and free laundry room! Great option for a five night stay.

The hotel is located is a great place right in the middle of the GasLamp Quarter. Restaurants and bars galore. The room was like a mini apartment. Nicely furnished and clean. Very easy virtual check in process. The unit could use some maintenance and the bed and pillows could be upgraded. As some have said you can hear music from one of the bars next door but it wasn’t bad and we had no trouble sleeping. For the price this was a great place overall.

I no one ever came to change my bedding after i explained there was either blood or dirt in my bed. My bed sat on the floor. I was unable to watch tv without having to use my own personal account. What was shown I didn't recieve. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!!!!!BEWARE DON'T GO!!!

Everything was great. Was worried it might be noisy because of location in the Gaslamp and it being Super Bowl, but everything was quiet and they even supplied earplugs just in case. Check in/check out was simple and no issues. Great value, clean and updated room with a nice little kitchen. Will definitely stay again.

Very noisy, directly above a live music venue with live music on both sides and construction next door. 5th Ave is party central in San Diego. A plaque in the room said there were earplugs and a white noise machine so you could sleep but there were no earplugs and the white noise machine did not work. I bought earplugs at CVS so I could get some sleep. There is no one there; everything is done through texting with their "virtual front desk." I mentioned the noise situation to Kara and they sent me a $25.00 gift certificate for lunch. The room was clean. The bed was about 14 inches above the floor, a mattress on a little wood platform without boxspring. It was awkward for getting up. To be fair, they also offered a discount for my next stay.

Located in downtown SD, very nice and easy to access. Parking isn’t the best and it is expensive. 60$ for 20hrs of parking. Also be aware of homeless in the area.

The most important thing you need to know is that it is directly above a VERY busy bars and surrounded by a lot of other bars and club. They do provide earplugs and a noise machine which we turned on to the loudest setting. Luckily i was tired and fell asleep right away anyways. But do not stay here if you are a light sleeper. The hallway downstairs & elevator smell pretty bad but once you’re in the room, everything is clean, no smell at all. The bed was comfortable and it is roomy and the kitchen came in handy. They did leave us a cupcake at the door i think maybe to apologize for the noise we would hear being in a room facing the street. Super convenient location and it was an easy walk to Petco & food

Great location and close to convention centre and local transportation networks. Was easy to get around and explore the city. Neat location and enjoyed the historic aspect of the building. Room was quiet (I specifically asked for a room on the top floor and they were able to accomodate) and clean and I felt safe. Only complaints is the bed was really hard and windows were so dirty you couldn't really see out of them (but I wasn't there for the view so not a big deal). Showers lack any water pressure but it did the job. Overall it was a cute room and I would stay again.

Excellent location, excellent instruction. If possible, get an Uber as parking is crazy! We had zero problems during our stay. Large shower, nice towels, decent bed and pillows. Very clean and lots of attention to detail! Would definitely stay here again!

This property is located right above 5th street and places you right in the center of the action of the Gaslamp District. Walkable to Petco Park, Convention Center, Seaport Village.

If you’re down for a weekend at the Gaslamp this hotel is for you! It’s right above a bar but the noise isn’t horrible! Everything dies at 2 am. It’s walking distant from all the best restaurants and bars. You don’t have to worry about driving! There is available parking structures that is only a three minute walk! I loved how Cozy and homey it felt! I can’t to come back!
