Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Fort Mill by IHG

We had some crazy neighbors but that's expected at a hotel. The staff was amazing though! Great breakfast and pool was awesome.

Awesome hotel. Pool area and chairs very nice. Check in staff very friendly!!

Staff- especially Kelly- were lovely! We do wish the pool was a little cleaner when we went for a dip in the early afternoon and the toilet had a burn mark on the seat, but all in all a great stay and bang for your buck!

The only thing that was frustrating is that the washers/dryers only accepted quarters, no Credit Cards. Also, the front desk is unable to charge the fee for washing to the room.

A few things I found noticeable were ultra clean lobby and room, comfortable bed, custom window shades to control light, friendly staff, fresh brewed coffee / tea 24/7, worthy breakfast, and convenient location in Fort Mill.

Our room was very clean & comfortable. The shower was nice & roomy, & the water pressure was actually great (so often in hotels it's just too weak!). Each person at the front desk answered any questions we had, & always with a smile. It started to feel like home after a few days! This meant so much to us as we were there for medical appointments at the cancer center. We also enjoyed the pool very much! Will be staying here when I'm in the area!

We called the customer service first to verify if the location had a heated pool. When we arrived to the hotel, the lobby smelled of Black and Mild Cigars, the receptionist was sitting in the lobby with her friend carrying on a conversation. Once she checked me in, she informed me that the pool was closed and it is not heated. Once we got to our room we needed linens for the pull out bed, there was no number to call in the room so I went back to lobby and the receptionist was carrying on with her friends, shoes off,feet on the couch, etc. Once she finally saw me she quickly got the linens we were missing in our room. While I was waiting I was very appalled by the language her friends were using. I have never heard the N word or F word used so many times in the 3 minute span I was waiting for sheets. The beds in the room were very comfortable so that was the one positive. The breakfast selection left little to be desired as well. The pancake machine was broken, there was little selection of pastries, it was very disappointing. Our next trip we will continue driving or find another hotel to stay at. We were very disappointed in our stay at Fort Hill Holiday Inn Express.

Clean room breakfast great lots of choices, part of a longer trip so we look up the Holiday Inn Express in other towns if timeing is right for the drive. This is number three on this trip. Affordable, free parking, great breakfast, frendly staff.

This hotel is in need of some updates. There was mold on the baseboards in my room and in the lampshades by my bed. The furniture in the lobby is worn down. The breakfast was good and the staff is friendly but I won’t be staying here again.

Great location. Staff very nice. Very clean. The only drawback was even with air conditioning, all clothing, carpet etc had a damp or humid feel to it.

The carpeting in our room had dirty spots that could have been cleaned or replaced. The tile areas definitely could have been swept better. The room smelled like smelly feet & the lobby area had an odd odor to it as well. The bed was comfortable.

The hotel is nice and the breakfast offering is good. The rooms and bathrooms are good too. However, two of my family members had allergy/asthma problems in one of our rooms. One child was going to sleep on the pullout but when we pulled it out the mattress had lots of stains and some mold so he could not sleep on it. Maybe that was the cause of the asthma/allergies. We had specifically chosen this hotel to have the additional bed in the pullout so that was a disappointment.

Bathroom grout was dirty , had stains on the walls , sheets smelled funny room was hot when we checked in the air was set at 84

Everything about this hotel was fine except for the dirty bathroom. It literally cancelled anything good about this stay out because it was so moldy and disgusting, definitely not up to par with standards for this hotel chain.

⚠️ HORRIFIC HOTEL EXPERIENCE – AVOID AT ALL COSTS ⚠️ I’ve stayed in many hotels across the country, but this was by far the most disgusting and disturbing experience I’ve ever had. What we walked into was not just dirty — it was unsafe, unsanitary, and outright unacceptable. 🔴 Blood stains on the sheets — not just in one bed, but also in the pull-out mattress. 🪳 Dead roaches sealed inside picture frames — in the lobby and the rooms. 🚿 No caulking around the shower, leaving open cracks and grime that clearly hasn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. 🛏️ Crumbs, stains, and filth all over the second room they moved us to after the first one was unlivable. And as if that wasn’t enough, the front desk staff made it all 10x worse. Roxanne — if that’s even her real name — was one of the most rude, dismissive, condescending employees I’ve ever dealt with. When I calmly asked for a resolution, she talked down to me, ignored me while helping other guests, and offered no help beyond switching me to yet another dirty room. This would’ve been the third one. Clearly this property has serious cleanliness and staff training issues from the top down. We paid almost $200 a night for blood-stained beds and bugs in the décor. There’s nothing about this stay that reflects hospitality. Roxanne’s behavior was beyond concerning — zero empathy, zero accountability, and zero professionalism. If you care about your health, safety, and basic dignity, DO NOT stay here.

The hotel was clean quiet and comfortable.

Very comfortable. Huge room. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Fresh towels but bed not made one day. Breakfast was good.

The tv didn’t work

I thought the rooms had a strange smell. Otherwise the stay was great. I liked the upgraded bathroom with showers instead of a tub/shower combo. Located in an active area with a lot of options for food. Close access to Hwy as well.

The staff was amazing. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Water pressure was HORRIBLE!! Couldnt wash our hair because it took 10 days to rinse with that pressure. Staff was great and accommodating.

I gave it 3 stars because it is an average hotel. Things were clean, breakfast was fine, staff was nice. I didn’t like the AC unit. It made a lot of noise and woke me up throughout the night, even with my noise machine on.

The only thing that i disliked about this property was that the room on the second floor had a drain problem. It would take forever for the shower water to drain as you were taking a shower. It was like if you were filling up the tub slowly and sink would fill as you were using it. Until it slowly drained away.

The room was great! Comfortable beds and easy to get in and out of (that’s a problem at other hotels). The staff was most welcoming and helpful! The breakfast was outstanding! There was Biscuits & gravy, fresh sausages, good yogurt selections, great mini omelets, and more!

Staff treated me like an old friend. Appreciate having a room on ground floor

We stayed for 7 nights as we travel for work. When we asked for a fresh set of towels. We were told we had to go get our dirty towels and personally bring them to the front desk to exchange them. So if you stay here and need anything, just remember to fill out an application first.

Amazing Team! We arrived before check in and needed to get into the room to change for a wedding. Kelly and the team were very accommodating and treated the occasion with importance as if it was there own family member.

Staff was exceptional. I was expressly impressed by the courteousness and professionalism of receptionist at check in. Her name is Ms. DESTINY. She was very pleasant and inviting. No unexpected surprises. No unpleasant odors, smoke, or loud noise.I enjoyed a good night's sleep. I will definitely book and stay there again.

Called early to confirm two rooms to be close proximity due to kids in second room. Checked in and were on 1st floor and 4th floor. Receptionist very rude when told I called and verified placement and was told not sure why they would tell me that in the first place. Struggled to find rooms for people in line and took awhile to check in.

This is a great hotel. It's clean and has a good, hot breakfast. The staff has always been nice. It's location is very convenient as it's just minutes from local restaurants, stores, and supermarkets. I stay here every time I visit Fort Mill! :)

The bed was comfortable and free wi-Fi was provided, overall We had a three night stay and have no complaints It’s location to major roads/ highways was a plus

Good central location to many things in South Charlotte and Rock Hill

This hotel is not right on the highway like many of the chain hotels. There are plenty of restaurants around and it's near Baxter Village where you can take a nice walk or run.

Safe location. Lots of eateries and things to do very close by. Nice staff. Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was really good; cheese and veggie omelettes, sausage, fried potatoes, cinnamon rolls, and all the other usual hotel breakfast items. Recommend

Nice room, modern but lacking nicities that Holiday Inn used to provide. Breakfast options very limited.

Entrance road was blocked so we were frustrated trying to get to the front of the hotel. Also, breakfast should open at 6 am not 7 am! Front desk manager recommended a great restaurant for dinner and we loved it.

The front desk staff, morning and night was sweet and helpful. The breakfast was definitely one of the best that I have eaten from a hotel
