Auberge Amérilys

This is a conveniently located motel, ample parking. I stayed for 5 nights. Room was smaller but ok, had what I needed - decent bathroom, decent bed, fridge, coffee maker, desk. TV was old and small. Taking 3 stars off for customer service: 1 - electronic lock stopped working on day two - Office person quickly re-set it, and said it has to be reset as code expires at certain time: this was not - but absolutely should be - mentioned at check-in, so the Customer is not caught off guard. 2 - During booking it stated house-keeping was included. No house keeping on day one, no house keeping on day two. Checking with Office - person said no, house keeping is on-demande only - but no problem, asked what I needed and said will delivery next day. 3 - Next day - someone accessed the room, as the curtains were open and light was left on, but nothing was touched - no fresh towels (asked for), no new coffee supplies (asked for), rubbish bins not emptied (asked for). I went to the Office to enquire - young lady there had no idea, she was unapologetically lovely, so I asked to pass my discontent to the Management and let it go... It seems the place is mostly used by one-night standers passing by, so Management is taking an easy approach, and perhaps it is ok to stay there for one night. I have another multi-night trip to town in October, but will not be booking this auberge.

There literally was not one thing I did NOT like about this place. Probably the perfect motel for someone like me - solo motorcycle rider. It was GREAT to be able to just walk out to my bike and pack it up right from my door. Clean, really fresh and new interior, and QUIET! Loved it.

Clean, quiet rooms with comfortable bed.Easy check-in and check-out. Free Wi-Fi. A bit too expensive IMHO. At that price it should offer amenities like a pool or gym, have EV recharge stations and should definitely include continental breakfast.

Terrific place, only complaint is the lack of a lamp. Please, just one little bedside lamp. It was beautifully new, and clean, and comfortable, but for people who like to read (and we do), the lamp problem is serious.

Everything seems modern and nice. Very clean. Arriving after 9 there is no front desk service, but they gave us the door code for the room. Overall, a good stay, felt safe and clean, but little interaction with staff.

Great updated motel with comfortable beds. Will stay again when in the area!

I liked that it was soundproof! I was not disturbed during my sleep.

Had an amazing stay! The rooms we had were super clean and very spacious. We loved that the rooms had a code for entry and not a card. We also enjoyed the sitting area outside each room and appreciated the owner checking in to make sure we had everything we needed! I would highly recommend staying here. I know we will be booking our stay here each time we pass through!

Clean, quiet at night, but small rooms

Our stay was perfectly adequate. The staff were nice and the room was clean. However, it seemed very sparse, cold and almost bleak and cheerless. Grey wood floor, grey walls, grey sheets, grey bedspread, and not one picture on the walls. White bed wear would certainly lift the feeling, as would some softening elements. Should be better for what was a hefty price! Woukd not want to return. 5/10

We arrived after the front desk was closed - but not to worry as they send a text letting you know the access info. 😊. Francois, the owner, very friendly and welcoming. Rooms awesome - will make this our go-to place when we travel this way again. Will share with others as well.

The staff were the sweetest people ever! The service was amazing and the check in and check out were so easy and convenient and the rooms were so so comfortable. If I’m ever in Rivière-du-Loup I know where I’m staying!

Propre et confortable. Malheureusement il y avait des travaux devant l’établissement donc ce fut compliqué de se rendre et en plus c’était bruyant.

Deux Oreillers inconfortables très durs Manque de serviettes et débarbouillettes. Pas d’espace sur le meuble lavabo pour nos articles d’hygiène pas de sèche cheveux. Bon matelas. Prix exorbitant pour un deux étoiles et pas de déjeuner. Plus jamais.
