This is a hidden gem of a hotel. We chose it because of the lower cost compared to hotels in Montreal. The room was spacious, new, and clean. Aside from a towel hook that was coming loose the room was in great shape. The rotating TV wall was a neat feature. Wifi in the room was a bit spotty but the staff kindly allowed me to work for a few hours in a meeting room with strong wifi. Nespresso machine in the room is convenient, but the hotel should provide nespresso brand pods (instead of generic) as they are more compatible with the machine. The golf course is beautiful and we were able to walk the cart path in the early morning and later evening with no golfers present. The spa area, though an extra cost, is relaxing with a good variety of indoor and outdoor spaces and experiences, however, the indoor dry sauna was running at well over 100 degrees C which is beyond what is a safe temperature is for a sauna. The lakeside town was quiet in late September with a few restaurants open and a good grocery store. It was pleasant walking around the town. Highly recommended hotel for a relaxing getaway and a great value in shoulder season.

I needed somewhere to work for a few days between weekends in Montreal (to save me me driving 7 hrs back home). I chose this hotel because of the lake views but was very disappointed as the wifi was extremely poor. I ended up having to cancel all my meetings as I kept on losing the connection every 2 minutes. I tried both wifi options but neither worked. I do not recommend this hotel for business use. If you want to play golf and sit on the balcony then you will probably love it. The rooms are spacious and well designed. I was not impressed with the service as a lot of the time they had the "Be back soon" sign on the desk and no-one was available.
