Decor was really nice rustic wood theme. Building is showing it's age the front door has a decent gap on the bottom and the ac unit isn't sealed so there will be drafts in the winter. Really needs new carpet. Had a smart TV but the Internet was inadequate for it to work properly and a broadcast antenna wasn't hooked up. Had a nice little kitchenette area with a sink and microwave with plenty of counter space larger mini fridge. The bed clothes were really nice. With a little work would be an awesome place.

Check in was fine they called the day before and said the cable was not working. Might be fixed or I could cancel. Well I’m one day out and I don’t want to cancel so it will be fine. Well open the room it’s small okay no big deal, but the tv not even plugged in. A/c not on so it’s hot and the fridge was hot as well so glad I didn’t have food to put in right away as I’m spending 4 nights. Get fridge to turn on after having to find a plug for it to plug in. Well I plugged in tv to now and won’t even turn on. I thought the cable didn’t work, I said nothing just stayed there because I’m only sleeping there after all. I would not recommend staying here. I don’t know I was supposed to leave my door unlocked to get a clean towel not that it matters it’s just an extra point to say. I left on Wednesday early am I knew this so asked if I should lock key in room they said no just leave it unlocked with key in it so maybe that’s how you get clean towel. I will never stay there again I’ll just stay in Platteville

The place is a work in progress. The room was evidence of that. Nice, clean, and has nice amenities. The rest of the place is being worked on will be better when finished. Ask to see the room you'll be pleasantly surprised. You can't beat it for the price.

Javier was really helpful for our unplanned late check in. This is a no-frills clean, safe place to sleep (the bed was actually one of the better ones I've found and I've traveled alot). The furniture is not hotel-standard-generic, the carpet is clean but not new, the tables, counters and wall decorations are rustic and simple. The fridge, microwave and kcup coffee maker were clean and functional, the tv is big and modern, there were 2 floor mounted electrical plugs with usb ports. You are not paying for fancy or pretty here, you are paying a reasonable and fair price for functional and clean.

The rooms are being renovated. In spite of that, the room, especially the bathroom is very small. The refrigerator and microwave were not operable. No deadbolt on the entry door and the patio door was difficult to keep locked.

The shower was dirty, my wife would not use. bathroom light flickered on and off all night long. Walls were thin and neighbors were loud. Door had been kicked in and not repaired properly. made me feel unsafe

The owner was very pleasant. The room was nice and clean, the towels were beautifully displayed, everything was tidy. There was some road noise, but not bad and the shower left something to be desired - dated and a little weird. Great place for the price! Would recommend if you're on a budget and want to know the owner cares about the place.

It was just ok. We couldn’t get tv to work. We did not take a shower since it was dirty. There is an opening above a/c unit so birds outside where extremely loud. The refrigerator was not plugged in. Front desk did not speak English so we did not point out nor make any comments.

The motel has a lot of opportunity for improvement, but overall for the price the room was suffice for a one night stay.. The room was clean and comfortable. A hand towel or two would have been nice. The entrance & exit of the parking lot was a bit challenging.

Nothing fancy but much better than expected for the price. I've definitely stayed in worse for more money. I have fairly low expectations when staying at inexpensive motels but the one thing I refuse to compromise on regardless of price is cleanliness. What's expected as an absolute bare minimum, and I think it was quite clean and smelled nice. I would stay there again whenever I'm in the area. If I was to make one critique it's that we had 2 full sized bath towels between 3 people and 1 tiny bottle of both shampoo and conditioner. Prehaps I could have requested more but I was only staying for one night so I didn't want to bother with it.

The room was left open with keys inside. It did not make us feel secure. The back glass door was difficult to lock and was not secure. The room was unclean. There was hair and large stains on the sheets and bedding. We had to sleep out side of the covers. The air conditioning was very loud and did not work well. Overall the stay left us tired and stressed. Pictures can be provided to verify the room. Thank you!

Very nice room, more like a studio apartment. Large, comfortable bed, full size fridge, clean. Shower was a little small, but does its job. Highly, HIGHLY recommend for the price.

This hotel was a great price, the lighted mirror was perfection for puttting on makeup. full length mirror for your fit check. Bed were so comfortable. AC works great! Room was so nice. Pool and hot tub looked brand new and was the perfect addition to our stay!

It ended way better after we got help to fix fridge the housekeeper was great and super helpful ..... we had privacy but they did answer any concerns and calls we had would def go again its great simple and comfortable place to stay!!!

We had a late check in due to an event which the hotel confirmed. There waant a front desk, a person, or anywhere to checkin. No one answered their phone. We had tontravel back to the city to find anothet hotel

Great location, affordable prices, quick check in and staff was friendly. My room was the right temperature upon my arrival. This is a convenient hotel that I will definitely stay in again.
Great location, affordable prices, quick check in and staff was friendly. My room was the right temperature upon my arrival. This is a convenient hotel that I will definitely stay in again.

We traveled to Wisconsin for my son’s graduation and wanted to book a reasonable room. My mother accidentally booked a room across the street at the TriState Wood Inn. Luckily it was the same management and she was very accommodating and allowed us to both stay at the same location next door to one another. The room she gave me was bigger and better than the room I paid for. Quiet Location with Pleasant hard working staff!

Dont let the outside disaude you...the rooms are clean and cute albeit small. The staff are courteous and friendly but there were some small language barriers. The beds are comfy. Quick warning the bathrooms are tiny but as long as you are just there for a few nights the cost balances any small inconvinces .

Javier was really helpful for our unplanned late check in. This is a no-frills clean, safe place to sleep (the bed was actually one of the better ones I've found and I've traveled alot). The furniture is not hotel-standard-generic, the carpet is clean but not new, the tables, counters and wall decorations are rustic and simple. The fridge, microwave and kcup coffee maker were clean and functional, the tv is big and modern, there were 2 floor mounted electrical plugs with usb ports. You are not paying for fancy or pretty here, you are paying a reasonable and fair price for functional and clean.

This is a very inexpensive hotel. Do not expect a lot. Did not seem very secure. Had to look at three rooms before finding one that was okay for one night. Room was heated with a free standing space heater which did not feel safe. Staff did not speak English but she used an app to translate effectively. Recommend you turn down the covers before you commit to a room.

It is quiet and cozy and the staff is amazing. Reasonably priced to top it all off and conveniently located off hwy 61

Overall, we were let down by our stay. No one was at the reception desk, but they did leave a number to call for service. The direction on how to get into the room were not accurate at first, but they texted the correction. The day was 100 degrees with heat index and the humidity was so thick you could see it in the air; and the rooms air conditioner was off when we got there. The place was muggy and stank like a dirt old ashtray at a grungy pub. The room was mostly clean but the carpet needs to be removed.There was an odd ceiling shower head and the drain was mostly plugged. Even after cleaning out the tubs strainer, the water still did not move fast enough to keep it from filling up. The no-slip mat was very old and gross. Because of the extreme humidity in the room, a lot of allergens from the room (old carpet, old mattress, old pillows) stuck in the air causing us to get serious allergy symptoms. The location of the motel is ok. The town is quaint and has some good restaurants and a neat sculpture garden by a church.

Room was very clean. Yes, a bit outdated but i dont care one bit about that if its clean. VERY clean. Pretty good sized gap under door but weather was fine so no problem. We did not experience noise like some reviews said but i can see how it COULD be noisy if a bunch of workers were staying there. Our experience was good and I would stay there again.

Very small rooms. Seemed cleaned bur dinghy looking. Could hear tv and people talking in rooms next door. Unappealing surroundings. Thankfully we were only there to sleep, bed was comfortable

Our room was very comfortable and had a patio with a gorgeous view out the back. There were very sweet 'extra touches' that made it lovely. The tv was Netflix, Hulu, etc. compatible so we could log in and use our own account. The staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful, attentive, and accomodating.

I can only speak to the curb appeal because we chose not to stay on the condition outside alone. We pulled up at 3pm and there wasn't any staff on site. We were just looking for a clean place to sleep and get cleaned up, but after seeing the property on the outside and the shady looking individuals stiing outside thier rooms, we decided to eat the $150 for the 2 nights and went somewhere else.

It was a clean and affordable room. Shower dispensers were not filled. There was body wash but no shampoo or conditioner. Very quiet. Close to Dubuque, IA for shopping, dining, nightlife. Bed was not comfortable.

The person running the office was nice. However the rooms carpet was filthy to the point where the carpet was black and you can see where the fridge sits it should be tan. The front door handle doesn't latch well and u can see to the outside.the toilet would move off the floor when you sit down.and the shower head comes straight out of the ceiling pelting you with hard water and the water doesn't drain.

Staff was very friendly & helpful. This is an older motel that has had some remodeling done. They did not have the front desk staffed when we arrived, but we're very responsive to phone calls for assistance. No breakfast service.
