La Vela is a beautiful hotel, right on the beach with the most amazing swimming pools and friendly service. We stayed in a family room which was spacious and comfortable and had a room divider screen to allow children and parents to have their own space. Our children (ages 9 and 6) enjoyed the kids club and thought the floating obstacle course was the best thing ever! They also made a great friend in one of the lovely La Vela staff members, Fang, who was wonderful with them. The breakfast buffet was varied and extensive and the other restaurants on site were also excellent. La Vela is also really close to Bang Niang with its restaurants, shops and fab night market. It was great to be able to walk out of the hotel and find lots of local food and drink options just around the corner. Taxis and songtheaws are also easy to come by to visit other parts of Khao Lak. Coconut beach and White Sand Beach are gorgeous! The beach bar, sunsets and amazing fire show also helped to make our stay undoubtedly 5*. Thanks La Vela! In the kids’ words…“best hotel ever!”

el hotel necesita una actualizacion, es un edificio moderno pero necesita mucho mantenimiento, da la impresion que han hecho renovaciones pero parciales (rodapie es antiguo). This was our second stay at La Vella Khao Lak, and we were once again impressed by the friendly and professional staff who go above and beyond. However, some guests reserve pool and beach chairs for hours without using them, which is unfair to others. We recommend management put up signs in multiple languages and enforce a policy to remove unattended towels after 30 minutes.

We had a sea facing room. Lovely and spacious. Bath on the balcony. Clean room. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Pools were good and catered for families and there was an adults only pool and bar. Beach was clean. Plenty of activities. Food and drink were great quality. Breakfast was amazing. We loved steering here in grand pool Access room. Quiet and not too many kids on our anniversary stay. Beds were so comfy and staff were friendly and helpful. Very convenient location. Loved the fire show. Pools were lovely and lovely right on the beach.

The location of the La Vela Hotel is superb, the beach in front of the hotel is gorgeous. The pools are magnificient and the entire hotel, pool and beach area never felt crowded. The entire atmosphere is very relaxed and low key.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr moderne Architektur. Ist nichts für Ruhe-Suchende behaupte ich mal. Allerdings für für ne Reise mit zwei Kids im Schlepptau. Vorzugsweise Jungs bis max 14 die sich einer sportlichen Auseinandersetzung nach der anderen hingeben wollen. Skaterpark, Boxring, viel Wiese, Beachvolleyball. Alles ordentlich verwinkelt in dem Bau. Wir ( 2 + 1, 9 jahre) sind nach einer Nacht wieder ausgezogen. Je nach Zimmer riecht es dauerhaft muffig. Bei uns waren die Wände im Zimmer fleckig nass. Laut einschlägigen Foren ein bekanntes Problem. Wir haben auf Anfrage nicht mal einen zusätzlichen Schirm bekommen. Hotel ist ne gute Idee für Action und Ausflüge, aber nix für Eltern.

Dejlig ferie med familien. Et dejligt hotel, men syntes ikke det lever op til sine 5 stjerner. Rengøringen kunne være bedre, skidt fra værelset blev bare fejret ud foran døren. Badekaret på altanen blev ikke rengjort i løbet af vores ophold. Ligesom poolen også kunne bruge bedre rengøring på de lave områder, der lå rigtig meget sand. Service ved pool områderne kunne også være væsentlig bedre, kunne være dejligt hvis tomme glas og flasker blev fjernet. Dejlig morgenmadsbuffet. God beliggenhed ved vandet og i gåafstand til masser af restauranter og barer. Kunne godt have brugt et massage sted ud til vandet.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im La Vela Khao Lak. Die Lage direkt am Strand ist einfach fantastisch, und die gesamte Anlage ist modern gestaltet mit großzügigen Pools und einer entspannten Atmosphäre. Besonders das Frühstücksbuffet hat uns begeistert – eine große Auswahl und alles frisch und lecker. Unser Zimmer war geräumig und hatte einen tollen Blick aufs Pool. Allerdings roch die Klimaanlage manchmal etwas unangenehm, und man merkt, dass die Möbel bald ausgetauscht werden könnten. Trotzdem war alles sauber und gepflegt, sodass wir uns wohlgefühlt haben. Das Personal war super freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Insgesamt ist das La Vela ein tolles Hotel, das wir trotz kleiner Schwächen definitiv weiterempfehlen können.

Schöne Zimmer, schönes Hotel, mega Frühstück! Das Personal scheint manchmal etwas von oben herab zu sein. Mehrere Situationen an der Rezeption dazu gehabt. Klimaanlage im Zimmer etwas merkwürdig und schlecht zu regulieren. Zimmerausstattung ansonsten top! Betten sehr bequem.

The hotel is on a lovely, relatively quiet beach on the outskirts of the local town. A quick 5 mins walk or 2 mins in the hotel buggy. We had a sea view deluxe room which was great. Beautiful views, quiet, large, practical space and well serviced throughout the week. As mentioned by others the breakfast is excellent, especially loved the coffee which is freshly made on request. Not keen on the loud dance music played often over lunch or in the evening as takes away from the relaxing beach vibe. Liked happy hour on the beach.

No Gold VIP recognition or benefits upon checkin. Staff has no idea what it is. Poor parking. Hard to navigate hotel from lobby to beach. Had top floor ocean front room with good view. Bathtub on balcony wouldn’t drain. Pillows and mattress are dated and not 5 star. Breakfast was fine. There are better properties to stay at. Disappointed in this ‘5 star’ hotel.

Vorweg: wir haben eine sehr gute Zimmerrate bekommen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war wirklich gut (auch viele asiatische Gerichte) und die Poollandschaft großzügig. Aus unserer Sicht ist es schade, dass hier so viel kalter, steriler Beton verbaut wurde. Keine Photovolaik, keine Solarthermie. An der Poolbar neben der Rezeption wurde kein Cocktail serviert ("... sorry, no barkeeper on duty here"), das Personal im Restaurant am Strand desinteressiert (Ausnahme: Miss Tip). Selbst ein Mini-Schälchen mit Nüssen wird berechnet. Die Lobby lädt nicht zum Verweilen, sondern mangels Atmosphäre zur Flucht ein. Dieses Hotel ist mit fünf Sternen überbewertet. Wir können leider keine Empfehlung aussprechen.

Das La Vela ist zum zweiten Mal unsere Wahl gewesen. Die Lage am Strand ist sehr ruhig und man ist trotzdem in 2 Minuten direkt im Geschehen. Restaurants, Massage, Wäscherei, Motobike-Verleih sind in der direkten Umgebung. Wir hatten ein Pool Access Zimmer und somit den Pool direkt vor der Nase. Würden wir so direkt wieder buchen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und dezent im Hintergrund. Sehr toll ist das Frühstück, beim dem asisatische Varianten, Brot, Suppen, Sushi, Eier etc. in großer Auswahl vorhanden sind.

プールアクセスルーム/夫婦旅行宿泊したA棟周辺はアダルトオンリーで子供がいなく快適でした。シャワーもレインシャワー含め快適に使用出来ました。ただルームの各種電灯のスイッチが種類が多く感覚的な使用が難しかったです。朝食バイキングは種類はまぁまぁありますが、内容は今ひとつのような気がします。もう1箇所ビーチ沿いのレストランは天気次第ですが夕方からの眺めや雰囲気は最高です。ホテルから徒歩圏内にレストランやセブンイレブンや各種商店がありますが大きめのスーパーとかはありません。姉妹ホテルであるフローラホテルは徒歩圏内、無料カートも出ているのでレストランなど使い分ける事が出来ます。ホテルとして全体的に快適に過ごせますが、一流所と比較すると物足りなさが多少あります。

Boede på et Grand Pool Access Room, og satte stor pris på værelset og tilhørende faciliteter. Alt på værelset fungerede, og rengøringen var ordentlig og effektiv. Dejligt stort køleskab med fryser, og både el-kedel og kaffemaskine fungerede godt. Direkte adgang til pool fra terrassen er simpelthen en luksus. Morgenmaden var god og varieret, og lavet med gode råvarer. Eneste ting jeg var mindre tilfreds med var priserne i baren og på strandklubben, som sammenlignet med priserne i byen var tæt på det dobbelte. Det skal ikke tages som et stort problem, da det er meget normalt. Personalet er venlige, høflige og serviceminded, men i forhold til alle andre hoteller i Thailand jeg har boet på, så var det noget upersonligt. Nu boede vi på hotellet i lavsæsonen, og derfor var value for money rigtigt god. I højsæsonen ville jeg finde det lidt for dyrt.
