GOZAN HOTEL & SERVICED APARTMENT Higashiyama Sanjo

This was a charming little place very close to the river, restaurants and shopping and just a short walk to the subway. Check-in was easy, staff was nice and the rooms were well-designed, cozy and clean. The price was very reasonable and we would definitely return.

Our family of 5 loved the Gozan Hotel! We were on the 6th floor and our room was so spacious and with all the traditional touches. The beds were comfy and the kitchen are had all the amenities needed for our amazing stay for 1 week. We cannot express how very pleasant the manger and staff were. They were all so kind and made our stay wonderful in Kyoto! Highly recommend for families and the location was perfect with a walk to Gion, shopping, and restaurants. We can’t wait to come back to Kyoto and will stay at Gozan Hotel again!

Excellent location, loved that it was close to Gion, Yasaka Pagoda and subway. Our room was beautiful and had washer/ dryer inside.

Gozan Hotel was a delightful place to stay during our spring visit to Kyoto. The management was very helpful to us during some travel difficulties we experienced before our arrival. I was put at great ease by their continuous communications with us, as they promptly responded to all our messages. Once we arrived, our stress disappeared. The facility is charming, and run very efficiently. We were greeted with some beverages to enjoy in our room. In Ryokan style, this Japanese beauty's accommodations were very comfortable. Amenities were superior quality. The kitchenette, restroom and bathroom in our suite were all top notch. In the morning, we were able to partake of the hotel's most delicious coffee in the lobby before heading over next door for a small breakfast sandwich and juice. We loved that Gozan was within walking distance to several places of interest, as well as the subway and the buses. The Gyon district is also nearby, approximately 10-15 minute walk. We look forward to visiting Kyoto again, and the Gozan Hotel will be a must-stay for us.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The free washer/dryer was a plus. The showers were great and the place was very clean. It’s about 5-10 mins walk from the shopping/dinning.
