Our suite was beautiful, and had a nice view from the deck. The jacuzzi tub was big enough to fit 2 in. The bathroom was roomy with his/hers sinks and a decent sized shower. The indoor pool, hot tub and workout area were just a short distance away (we chose to drive it due to icy conditions.) The breakfast was somewhat limited but very good (toast, bagels, bacon, scrambled eggs, yogurt, cereal, fruit, coffee and juices.) We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. The only thing that wasn't working right was the fireplace, but they offered to come fix it and we refused the offer.

Enjoyable walking distance to stores and restaurants. Comfortable room with updated bathroom. We wished the golf course had been manicured to where we could enjoy our game without loosing the balls in long grass. The tennis courts were fantastic. Great indoor and outdoor pool. Have stayed here many times and will return.

I loved the staff, they were all so nice and genuinely happy to make our time as sweet as possible. The indoor pool is not heated, and the hot tub was dirty. The fitness center is extremely outdated with only 3 machines those are my only complaints. The tennis court, golf course and outdoor pool were amazing. The continental breakfast was a bonus as well. The property is absolutely gorgeous and just walking distance to so many things to do from shopping, eating, and hiking. I will definitely be back.

Problems!! 1- No working Microwave in our room, one there was broken, replaced and that one didn't work either! There should be one in each room for customers convenience! 2- workout machines out of date and a Hazardous for people to use them! 3- NO sign put up to say filter in pool broken and don't swim in it! 4- pool house bathrooms need a door lock on them for privacy when showering and dressing! 5- Lockers don't close properly for lock use! 6- No small chair or table in bathroom of pool house. 7- some outside porch room lights don't work, maybe a bad bulb! 8- NO paper towels in bathroom pool house! ALSO PAPER HOLDER was hung upside down. Our room was clean, Customer service was great! Breakfast was great! Restaurant meals were very good!

We liked our corner room although the walls were very thin so we were awoken by our neighbors talking loudly the first night. The second night, after a long day of skiing we were looking forward to the hot tub but were told it was closed and to “try again tomorrow.” The third night we did go in the hot tub and it was pretty dirty and didn’t appear to have been cleaned in awhile.

Four disappointed things. Shower was hard to regulate. Golf course was in very poor condition. Hot tub at pool was not wotking. Breakfast was poor quality. They need a restaurant quality breakfast available for those who want to pay extra.

The king bed room was big and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a great design and lots of space. Temp was comfortable. The hot tub was a great option after a day of skiing…although it could use a cleaning

Hot tub had a layer of dirt/grime at the top that could be wiped off pretty cleanly. Didn't try the indoor pool due to the lack of upkeep in the hottub. Suite was clean and jetted tub in room was nice.

Not the cleanest place. Dust ruffle was hanging across the floor and the floor was not clean. The walkway outside our door is crumbling apart. The tv volume is set to only go very low and is far across the room. The internet is awful. The bed was actually very comfortable. The place could use some TLC!

The rooms and facilities were very run down. The room was mostly clean though I definitely wouldn't consider it exceptionally so. The furniture was in rough shape and stained. The pool area, especially the bathroom area was very run down. The hot tub was also full of debris and hair. When we asked for 2 additional towels from the front desk they refused. And while breakfast was promised when we booked the room it was never provided, and a different excuse was used each day as to why there would be no breakfast.

This is a nice old property with comfortable rooms in a convenient location. The issue is cleanliness. There was an empty PBR beer can in the garden outside our room. The floor made socks filthy. The bathroom hadn’t been dusted in at least a month. The bathtub was stopped up so that when you take a shower, you’re standing in 6 inches of water.

It’s a cute hotel and has lots of potential but in terms of comfort and cleanings it wasn’t amazing at all! The bed was extremely uncomfortable (very cheap springs mattress) and wasn’t really clean, definitely doesn’t give value for the money we spent on it. It’s barely a 7 on a good day only because of their service, otherwise I would give it 6.

The room wasn’t even clean, heat didn’t work , staff was unpleasant ice machine was broken , kept getting locked out of room key pad wasn’t working. Breakfast was awful. Light bulbs were out. It was awful. Bathroom floor was falling apart. Shower was dirty. When I brought my concerns to staff they weren’t accommodating what’s so ever. Coffe machine in room was extremely dirty . Place is trash wouldn’t stay there ever again. Stayed there New Year’s Eve 2023 Not happy at all. I highly deserve a credit. When I asked for one. They said take it up with Expedia!!

Smelled awful. Like had been smoked in for years and they tried to cover up the smell with cheap perfume. Disgusting! Old and needs updated. Way overpriced. We should have went back to the office to get our money back and not stayed.

We had to change rooms because the old toilet wouldn't stop running in the first room. The second room was spotless except for the grout and cauking in the bathroom that was blackened. Everything else about the place was very good and very comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful. The continental breakfast included scrambled eggs and bacon that we weren't expecting. Overall we very happy with our stay.

Robert was a gem. Jackie is a great host. BEWARE— blackout curtains were over the windows as advertised but the door is half glass with cheap mini-blinds and a verrrry bright light shone through lighting up the room all night.

Friendly staff. Good location to walk to restaurants and park w bike trail. No restaurant or bar operating currently as shown in listing. First room was tired, door to deck jammed, no screen. Deck furniture dirty, couldn’t use. Moved us to another room that was better, spacious ADA king suite w view from deck of fireworks. Breakfast was partially defrosted baked goods and prepackaged fruit cups. We found good bakeries nearby and made our own breakfast in room.

The property is somewhat misleading. The photos depict a large century home and we were under the impression we would be staying there. The property is actually laid out like a motel with rows of rooms adjoined. Parking is behind each unit. All are ground level. The room is quite large with a separate mini kitchen beside the bathroom. The property is clean, and decent for the price. Not luxurious or fancy but suitable for a night or 2 while passing through or skiing in winter.

I should have read the other reviews. The room was big and bed comfortable but the rest was not what a resort should be. Very old sofa that the cushions fell in and chair. Tub was old style bath fitter but the worst was the shower. Not a pressure balanced faucet so it kept going from hot to cold and back. I outlets by bed, there was an extension cord for the lamp. The other outlet was old and the plug kept falling out. This was a $300 per night stay (stayed wed - sat). Could have used a small table and 2 chairs to sit at. The pluses were the grounds - very nice (did not use pool). Best was the staff. Very nice and helpful. Please update the rooms.

Was told that there was no reservation under my name and was turned away when we arrived in the middle of the night. After nearly 30min of waiting on the phone while the representative was “checking” and searching through emails, the representative said she could come find us a room.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was about a 10 minute walk to the downtown area which was nice so I didn’t have to worry about parking. The view was great, the room was clean, and it was accessible to a lovely walking path. Would highly recommend!

This was such a great place to stay!! Michael who worked evenings was an absolute joy and so nice and helpful and a great face to see when we checked in.

Enjoyable walking distance to stores and restaurants. Comfortable room with updated bathroom. We wished the golf course had been manicured to where we could enjoy our game without loosing the balls in long grass. The tennis courts were fantastic. Great indoor and outdoor pool. Have stayed here many times and will return.

I haven't stayed at the Palmer House in many years, but not much had changed. Very nice property with a pool and a pitch and put golf course. Very convenient to walk into town. The room was large but a little dated. Front desk assistance was always great and the limited breakfast was great if in a hurry to get going. Very peaceful and always felt very safe.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was about a 10 minute walk to the downtown area which was nice so I didn’t have to worry about parking. The view was great, the room was clean, and it was accessible to a lovely walking path. Would highly recommend!

Our suite was beautiful, and had a nice view from the deck. The jacuzzi tub was big enough to fit 2 in. The bathroom was roomy with his/hers sinks and a decent sized shower. The indoor pool, hot tub and workout area were just a short distance away (we chose to drive it due to icy conditions.) The breakfast was somewhat limited but very good (toast, bagels, bacon, scrambled eggs, yogurt, cereal, fruit, coffee and juices.) We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. The only thing that wasn't working right was the fireplace, but they offered to come fix it and we refused the offer.

The rooms and facilities were very run down. The room was mostly clean though I definitely wouldn't consider it exceptionally so. The furniture was in rough shape and stained. The pool area, especially the bathroom area was very run down. The hot tub was also full of debris and hair. When we asked for 2 additional towels from the front desk they refused. And while breakfast was promised when we booked the room it was never provided, and a different excuse was used each day as to why there would be no breakfast.

Four disappointed things. Shower was hard to regulate. Golf course was in very poor condition. Hot tub at pool was not wotking. Breakfast was poor quality. They need a restaurant quality breakfast available for those who want to pay extra.

The room was way overpriced. It said no smoking but the room was musty smelling and smelled like faint smoke. The heat didn’t work consistently and it you turned on the mini split heater in the wall it sounded like a truck was idling behind your head. They don’t do housekeeping and you have to request clean towels if you need them. The breakfast had very little to offer, and on paper plates on top of that. The bed was hard and we slept horrible. The room was clean enough despite the smell. For roughly $675 for two nights I will never go back there again. Not worth even half of that. The pool and hot tub area were clean but they did not keep up with the towels and so when we to swim one night there were no clean towels left. The gym equipment is three machines that look like they’re from 1975.

Friendly staff. Good location to walk to restaurants and park w bike trail. No restaurant or bar operating currently as shown in listing. First room was tired, door to deck jammed, no screen. Deck furniture dirty, couldn’t use. Moved us to another room that was better, spacious ADA king suite w view from deck of fireworks. Breakfast was partially defrosted baked goods and prepackaged fruit cups. We found good bakeries nearby and made our own breakfast in room.

Palmer house is a great stay. Large spacious room with excellent mattress and linens. Shower was hot with good pressure. Included breakfast was simple but ample, breads, eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt, etc. I would definitely stay again.

Sadly we did not have a good experience here. Check-in time is 3:00. We arrived at approximately 4:30 and waited in a long line of guests who were in town for a wedding. Several of their rooms were not ready, and neither was ours. We were advised to take a stroll in town and we would be called. We returned about 5:30–room still not ready. Told to grab a bite to eat nearby and come back. Returned at 6:15 and clerk had to drive to the room to confirm it was ready, which it finally was. Only two large towels in bathroom—no washcloths or hand towels. WiFi did not work. Asked at desk the next morning and the woman at the desk (not very friendly) said oh yeah—it doesn’t work in the building where your room is located. Nine mentioned this at check-in. Happily we were only there for one night.

The room in itself was not bad. There was a jacuzzi tub in our bathroom, which we did not use, that had small empty bottles scattered around the rim from previous residents. Our room was not serviced over the three days and we ran out of toilet paper the last night. My husband had to go to the office and get coffee pods for the 2nd and 3rd days. Also, our keys did not work when we returned after sightseeing on the 2nd day, and it took close to 1/2 hour for my husband to find someone to fix our keys. Story was they had not been set-up correctly. We did not use the pools or hot tubs on the property, but the asphalt to get in and out of a long driveway was not in good repair in all places. I’m sure it was a grand hotel at one time, but not now.
