We absolutely adore this little sliver of paradise. The rooms are clean and spacious, the beach is calm and beautiful, and the restaurant is always delicious. We loved the sweet lady that does the morning coffee at the cafe upstairs and remembered her from last year’s visit. The front desk were all so kind and helpful during our stay, and even granted us a little earlier of a checkin for our birthday weekend! Because of all of this, we come back year after year. Such a great little place to stay!

Except that the door to the Beachview side of the room stuck, the room was nice. The staff was generally helpful and pleasant. The location of the hotel is good for access to eating places, the beach, and the Village.

This is a fine blue collar "resort". The good: I ate each day for four days at the restaurant for lunch and dinner and never had a bad meal. Breakfast is skimpy but not bad...if you're okay with scrambled eggs, silver dollar pancakes, greasy bacon or the thinnest pork sausage patties I have ever seen. The room was clean and had plenty of towels (after I raided the cleaning cart) and the cleaning staff were friendly even if they didn't speak English. The not so good: The room was big, but it was clearly an old hotel that had lost its charm from decades ago when the paint was fresh, the window frames were wooden, as they are still. Yes, you read that right. I'm surprised the radios weren't playing The Rat Pack and MoTown. And it didn't help that the air conditioner sounded like a Jumbo Jet taking off, and just as loud, every time it cycled on. The really bad: The staff is almost entirely untrained for hospitality positions, that is to say, the front desk staff. They are nice, just not focused on that upper class reception one expects with elevated prices. I give it maybe four stars out of ten.
