We had a pleasant stay at the hotel,the room was a decent size,clean and well furnished,the free buffet breakfast which is mainly continental did include bacon and sausages and was plentiful The staff were excellent.There are plenty of parking places,and the hotel is dog friendly The choice of beers was really good ,and food appetising although not many choices on the menu Clapham is a lovely village,and is a good base to visit many scenic areas of the Dales We will be making a return visit to the New Inn next year

Hotel was clean and nicely decorated with plenty car park spaces.Stayed in a twin room, which was spacious and well equipped- tea & coffee facilities, bottled water and biscuits were a nice touch. Nice bathroom with plenty hot water and powerful shower. Breakfast was good included bacon and sausage sandwich, selection of cereals, pastries, juices, toast. We ate at the bar both evenings- food was good and portions were very generous. Extremely good value for money stay, we would highly recommend.

Nice proper pub with rooms. Evening meals we had were excellent and clearly home cooked rather than frozen/factory produced. Staff were all great and the pub has a good selection of beers and some friendly & colourful locals. Would stay here again.

This was a great place to stay to be able to walk into the Dales. It was a beautiful setting and very good parking. The restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced with fantastic staff! Shower was excellent especially after a damp walk into the hills! Would definitely stay here again. Note, while there is not an electric car charging port, there is one very close by.

We would stay in this hotel again. Good location for some excellent local walks. Good parking, nice bar, continental breakfast very good, liked the bacon sandwich! Quiet village setting.

Our room was a good size with a big bathroom and a comfy bed. The staff were super friendly and the bar and restaurant were nice, with great food. Had a lovely stay and plan on going back.

Professional and friendly from start to finish, food was amazing and plentiful, large choice of breakfast from continental to full English, check in easy and quick, rooms very spacious and comfy with an amazing view of the stream, plenty of onsite parking, within walking distance to the caves, amazing and will definitely stay again.

Stayed here 2 nights as we were doing the Macmillan mighty hike in Malham. Hotel was great, good selection of beers, food was fantastic ( proper pub grub), staff were friendly and helpful, clean rooms.

We had a disappointing stay at OYO New Inn recently. We had booked the 2 family rooms and told these would be suitable for 4 adults (I had spoken to management multiple times before booking who confirmed this). Upon check-in we were told the rooms were only for 2 adults and 2 children and the beds weren't suitable for adults. There was no apology just confrontation and abruptness. We were then 'allowed' to stay in the family rooms and these were very disappointing. The rooms were unclean, one of the rooms had the soap open and litter in the rooms. The surfaces were also dirty. Not to mention the main light in one of the bedrooms and along the corridor wasnt working. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We removed the mattress from the top bunk to sleep on the floor and there were no springs in the mattress, it was comfier sleeping on the hard floor. The noise was something else, loud music and noise from the bar below which seemed to go on until early hours! It was an overall disappointing experience and I wouldnt stay again. The location and surrounding area was lovely and very handy for the Yorkshire Three Peaks, which is what we did the following day, just a shame we set off after a terrible sleep/stay.

Room not particularly clean. No mattress protector. Needed a hoover. Hotel was closed when we arrived at 2.00pm. Checked in at 4.00pm and booked dinner for 7.30. Arrived downstairs for dinner at 7.30 and were told there were no main courses left. Nowhere else to eat in the village and no takeways in the area. We didn't attempt the continental breakfast and left early. No-one around for checkout. Staff seemed young and unprofessional. Would certainly never go back.

We really enjoyed our one-night stay at the inn. We managed to snag an amazing deal at half the usual rate. Our 2-bedroom room was very clean - only a couple of snags were experienced. The first sleeping area had no bedside lighting and the second had no accessible mains supply! The breakfast included was excellent. The setting for the inn is fantastic - lovely area to walk around.

The room we had was big and had plenty of drawer space and wardrobe. The bathroom was massive but if you have short legs beware as the bath is very deep so getting out could be a problem. The window opened but not a lot and had quite afew cobwebs in the window but it’s an old building so be prepared. Everything else was spotless. We didn’t have teabags in the room it was all coffee and hot chocolate sachets. Plenty of biscuits though. Good food and breakfast excellent.

The hotel was easy to find, plenty of parking and the staff were helpful and friendly. The food options were limited but our food was excellent. The children’s meals however didn’t go down very well as the chips were covered in far too much rock salt for us let alone children, I had to brush off as much salt as I could do that they would eat something. The family room was neat and tidy with sturdy bunk beds, however the bathroom either needs a deep clean or re-grouting as the shower/bath area looked filthy. The double bed or at least the mattress was very tired and stained with NO mattress cover or protector over it so we could see some of the mattress stains through the sheet of the bed, which isn’t the most appealing thing to sleep on at all. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, again the staff were helpful and friendly.

Checked in and they didnt have a key for our room, took 15mins to fins one. Room was abit dated. The bed matress was very hard which gave us a bad nights sleep along with very thin walls which other guests sounds travelled through. Breakfast was very good.

Nice spacious room, albeit with a few insect invaders which we swiftly removed (earworm and a very large moth!). TV was very small but we weren't there to watch TV. Breakfast was good!

The room was great - spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The hotel bar area was good - simple but stylish. Decent range of beers on offer. Food was okay. The breakfast offering consisted of cereal, pastries, toast and either sausage or bacon sandwiches. Pretty poor options for vegetarians, and very poor for vegans. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and while the plant burger and chips was okay, the portion was small and the measly salad was very limp. Pretty overpriced at £19. Our last evening (Sunday) was somewhat marred by the horrendously loud karaoke session in the bar, which we could very clearly hear from our first floor room. It went on from 19:30 until 23:00. Not easy to get to sleep with all manner of songs being loudly crucified by the seven or so out of tune participants in the bar. Clapham is a great location from which to access this spectacular part of the Yorkshire Dales.

Was a very mixed stay. Beautiful location because close to cave and waterfall. Room and hotel dated. Bathroom only had 1 tap on sink which was cold and a wet room. Needed a upgrade. Menu limited but was plentiful but breakfast was greesy and other options. Bar area needs updating seats riped. Staff where good at breakfast explaining what was available and helpful.

I arrived tired and in the dark, which I think probably improved the ratings…Room was very basic with an uncomfortable bed. The toilet didn’t flush. I had to run around in the shower to get wet. I didn’t expect the Ritz. I just wanted basic, clean and functional and was left wanting.

We booked this as we had seen so many good reviews however these were from 1st of January and before. We stayed on 27th January. The hotel is in a great location the rooms were very nice the restaurant and bar were nice however….. There was a young guy looking after the hotel who really nice and worked extremely hard trying his best to serve everyone on his own. The bar area was busy and he was rushed off his feet. The restaurant should have been closed as it was terrible, the menu was extremely limited 2 starters and 4 mains and they couldn’t complete those dishes properly as they didn’t get a full delivery although there is a shop across the road. Service was extremely slow and we waited over an hour for burgers that were missing salad and sauces and were under cooked. Pretty much everyone had a complaint about the food and service. It is such a shame as it has so much potential. We visited the Marton arms earlier Where the food is excellent yet only had drinks as we were looking forward to the restaurant at the new inn We will go back possibly once the restaurant is functioning as a professional kitchen rather than a scene from fawlty towers

Such a cosy stay, really relaxing! The room was great. Very comfortable bed, we slept so well after a day of walking. The staff were really friendly too we felt very welcome :)

Room not particularly clean. No mattress protector. Needed a hoover. Hotel was closed when we arrived at 2.00pm. Checked in at 4.00pm and booked dinner for 7.30. Arrived downstairs for dinner at 7.30 and were told there were no main courses left. Nowhere else to eat in the village and no takeways in the area. We didn't attempt the continental breakfast and left early. No-one around for checkout. Staff seemed young and unprofessional. Would certainly never go back.

We had a very pleasant 2 night stay here. Tte staff were friendly and helpful, food good, rooms clean and comfortable. No complaints, but we did feel that it was understaffed, particularly at breakfast. There didn't seem to be staggered breakfast times and this would have alleviated the situation.

Horrible....I regret booking itanf I very rarely regret booking a hotel! We booked it and while on our way the host called me to ask when will arrive. I said we will arrive late around 11.30. I asked him to leave us the keys if he wants to go. He no that's fine, he will wait for us. I arrived exactly 11.30. There was noone there.. we knocked we called, even met one of the guests who said that the host has keft ling time ago. What is this?! Horrific

Professional and friendly from start to finish, food was amazing and plentiful, large choice of breakfast from continental to full English, check in easy and quick, rooms very spacious and comfy with an amazing view of the stream, plenty of onsite parking, within walking distance to the caves, amazing and will definitely stay again.

Booked last minute to hike Y3Ps as only 15 minute drive from start of walk. Very happy with room and it was very reasonably priced. Evening meal and breakfast were also lovely.

Great location for exploring, food average and a bit pricey but the only place to eat in the village. Good sized room but not freshened daily. Heating on in hottest week. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Nice self serve breakfast with sausage and bacon sandwiches, cereal, croissants, fruit juice etc.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel,the room was a decent size,clean and well furnished,the free buffet breakfast which is mainly continental did include bacon and sausages and was plentiful The staff were excellent.There are plenty of parking places,and the hotel is dog friendly The choice of beers was really good ,and food appetising although not many choices on the menu Clapham is a lovely village,and is a good base to visit many scenic areas of the Dales We will be making a return visit to the New Inn next year

The Inn was ideally situated, not too far from Settle and Malham Cove which was beautiful. Very welcoming and a special smiley reception from the delightful Poppy. Francesca too couldn’t do enough for us as we enjoyed Happy Hour and Over 60s good prices on evening meals. We’ll be back!

Excellent hotel, friendly staff, clean comfortable room and superb breakfast. Great location for accessing the Ingleton falls trails. Wish we could have stayed longer, we will be back next time we are in the area

This was a great place to stay to be able to walk into the Dales. It was a beautiful setting and very good parking. The restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced with fantastic staff! Shower was excellent especially after a damp walk into the hills! Would definitely stay here again. Note, while there is not an electric car charging port, there is one very close by.

We would stay in this hotel again. Good location for some excellent local walks. Good parking, nice bar, continental breakfast very good, liked the bacon sandwich! Quiet village setting.

So so... Bar staff were friendly with a decent array of beers. Room was tired but clean. Evening menu was just a folded A4 page, selection okay but premium pub prices; 19 for a burger / chips, 19 for pie / mash. Breakfast was included in price but disappointing... Usual cold buffet available but no hot buffet; bacon delivery hadn't arrived at 0830 so literally only sausages available - couldve managed but no beans, mushrooms, eggs etc.... bit poor for a pub/hotel breakfast

Excellent hotel choice with a great location and ready advice to explore The Yorkshire Dales we even booked a lovely 4 poster room as a birthday treat, outstanding service provided throughout our stay. Restaurant food was amazing for both dinner & breakfast, which was much better than we expected for a continental breakfast having additional Bacon & Sausage on Toast on offer surprisingly, and set us up for the day ahead. Thank you so much, looking forward to staying with you again soon Brian & Ann Wigan 27-05-25.

Great location with plenty out walls and bigger towns within a 10 mun drive. Only let down was the 45 minure sat waiting for breakfast, even after booking a time slot the afternoon befor.The hot drinks machine & fruit juices both needed replenishing. Food was good when it arrived.

Our room was a good size with a big bathroom and a comfy bed. The staff were super friendly and the bar and restaurant were nice, with great food. Had a lovely stay and plan on going back.

The room was great - spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The hotel bar area was good - simple but stylish. Decent range of beers on offer. Food was okay. The breakfast offering consisted of cereal, pastries, toast and either sausage or bacon sandwiches. Pretty poor options for vegetarians, and very poor for vegans. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and while the plant burger and chips was okay, the portion was small and the measly salad was very limp. Pretty overpriced at £19. Our last evening (Sunday) was somewhat marred by the horrendously loud karaoke session in the bar, which we could very clearly hear from our first floor room. It went on from 19:30 until 23:00. Not easy to get to sleep with all manner of songs being loudly crucified by the seven or so out of tune participants in the bar. Clapham is a great location from which to access this spectacular part of the Yorkshire Dales.

Breakfast starts at 8 on weekdays so I missed it. Bit of mildew and lots of drain flies but a BIG GHS was chomping on them. It's a very old building with lots of character. Nicely furnished and very friendly staff. No silly rules. Great for Ingleborough.

the staff were friendly and professional when we checked in. our room was clean overall, but did have some old cobwebs and a bit of dust. the bed was clean and comfortable. the bathroom was clean, but the extractor fan was quite dusty, the shower had good water pressure. breakfast was a simple affair, coffee, tea, fruit juice, a few cereal choices, yoghurt, berries, croissants and bread, the only hot food was sausages. we also ate dinner here on both nights of our stay, there was a good selection of meals, all meals we had were very tasty. they don't seem to advertise they serve evening meals, we only saw one review stating that they do serve food in the evenings.
