Hotel Cote d'or Lodge

We had an amazing stay. Brand new hotel, opened in 2026. Extremely well designed. Staff were so kind. Pool was perfect with our little girl. The room extremely clean. We loved the tasty coffee and tea, refilled every day. Seriously, do not hesitate to stay at cote dor retreat. Parking was huge. Five stars!!!

A new, peaceful hotel where everything was clean and well maintained. It was located just a short walk from Côte d'Or Beach while still being quietly tucked away. It was the perfect base for exploring the island, with a lovely rooftop pool to cool off in after a day of sightseeing and plenty of convenient parking for our rental car. Patsy was wonderful and incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

The pictures don’t do this place justice! We absolutely loved our stay here. We stayed in a lovely room in our own bungalow, and when we arrived, they had prepared prosecco and a fruit platter for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and truly beyond our expectations. The beach was beautiful — just steps away from the hotel. There were very few guests during our stay, so we often had the pool all to ourselves. We ended up eating both lunch and dinner here many times because the food selection was great and varied a bit from day to day. They also served the best pizza we could find on Praslin. The owner and staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We kept our phones on flight mode throughout the trip, and they helped us arrange taxis and introduced us to our wonderful driver, Gery. The beds were a little firm for our preference, but the hotel was very quiet at night, which made the stay incredibly relaxing. Everything felt clean, peaceful and well cared for, and the atmosphere throughout the property was absolutely beautiful. The WiFi was a bit unstable, and I couldn’t download my book — but honestly, who goes to the Seychelles for WiFi? If you’re staying on Praslin, book this hotel. It truly gives you that paradise feeling without making you feel isolated, and it’s only about a 20-minute walk along the beach to the supermarket and other restaurants.
