Our stay at 88 Hotel was a last minute gem we found when we needed it most. The booking we had did not work out and I found myself searching for a new place to stay for the remainder of our Osaka leg. I cannot tell how much we loved this hotel. massage chairs everywhere, in your room, in the lobby, outside the laundry facilities. If I could vgo back in time I would have booked our entire stay in Osaka at 88 Hotel. Great central location. Nice beverage bar. All the staff was incredible but especially Travis. I 100% recommend staying here. You will be happy you did!!

Great location right by Dotonbori. The room I had was big and clean with a good layout. The elevator was fast and the common area downstairs had a nice community vibe and also had free drinks. There was a good amount of washers and dryers compared to other hotels I’ve been to in Japan. The front desk communicated well and I was checked in and out quickly - they were also helpful with helping me forward my luggage to my next hotel. Overall my favourite hotel I’ve been to in Japan and will be booking it again when I come to Osaka again!

Could not have picked a better hotel. 2 adults and 2 children (12 & 15 yrs old). The room was spacious with 2 king beds, separate sitting area with couch and table. The staff was AMAZING and very helpful. They had umbrellas available for use if needed (which we did), they called taxis for us when needed, provided written directions to get to our next city while forwarding our luggage. The lobby has plenty of tables and chairs with complimentary drinks as well as a pool table for fun! Location was great, easy walk from bus station and walkable to many things. Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel 88. Staff are excellent - very helpful and accommodating. Facilities are great - loved the massage chairs and lounge area to enjoy a delicious coffee. Will definitely stay here again.

I loved everything about this hotel, but especially the staff! They were consistently kind and pleasant to us and always had a stocked free beverage area. They also had numerous massage chairs in the lobby for sightseeing weary guests

Strongly recommend this hotel -- designed for the traveler. Extremely clean! Quirky decor. Massage chairs, eating area (with dishes, cutlery, microwave, beverages), lounge area in the lobby. Air conditioned hotel room is large with sofa, beds (with best mattresses we had in Japan), microwave, full size fridge, safe, lots of hangers & coat hooks, drying rack for laundry, air purifier, washroom separated into 3 rooms: sink, shower/tub, toilet. Room key holder is map to area. Staff are amazingly helpful! & kind! Quick to respond. When we asked directions at front desk, a staff insisted on walking us to the correct gate for our subway at Namba Station -- good thing as our just loaded Suica card didn't work & she handled it & worked with subway staff to resolve the problem. Luggage storage provided. When we checked out, staff offered to drive us to OCAT to catch the airport bus and also carried all our luggage in. HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

The front desk staff is very friendly and professional. We enjoyed our stay here, they even send us to Namba station for our airport bus to the airport. Awesome free drink machines in the lobby where you can get free juice, coffee, tea, and soup. Enjoyed the convenience of walking to transportation and food options very much.

Service was OUTSTANDING from beginning to end. The hotel even took us (family of 4) to Shin-Ōsaka Train Station for no additional charge. Free beverages (24/7), free massage chairs, and free umbrella rentals are just a few more perks that this hotel offered. If you’re planning to visit the area, this hotel is a no brainer. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

객실뷰는 없지만 내부도 깨끗하고 넓었습니다. 설연휴낀 일~화요일 트윈룸 3박 예약했는데, 예약내역이랑 비교해보니 스탠다드 트윈룸으로 업그레이드 해주신거 같아요. 가보니 퀸사이즈침대1, 슈퍼싱글침대1이었거든요. 웰컴드링크랑 입욕제주신것도 좋았고 1층에 무료음료바(탄산음료, 커피나 차 티백 비치), 안마의자랑 캐리어 저울 유용하게 썼습니다. 라면이나 간단히 식사가능하도록 식기류도 있었습니다. 매트리스도 적당히 탄탄하고 세면대도 넓고 티비가 lg 스마트티비입니다. 넷플 유튭 티빙 아이디만 있으면 볼수 있어요. 객실내에 전자렌지도 있고 냉동실이 있는 냉장고가 있었어요. 냉장칸도 호텔치고 큽니다. 다만 쇼파공간이랑 복도 불끄는게 출입문 앞에 있어서 고것만 좀 불편한거 빼고는 괜찮았어요 그리고 슈퍼싱글 쪽 센서등 고장나서 자기멋대로 껴졌다켜졌다했어요. 요정도는 흠도 아닙니다. 위치도 진짜 좋고 오히려 객실이 많지않아 시끄럽지 않아 좋았습니다. 그리고 체크아웃하고 캐리어 무료보관가능하고, 맡길때 프론트이야기하면 oact까지 승합차로 데려다주십니다. 이것도 무료!!!! 저는 버스티켓 미리 예매해서 1시간정도 일찍 호텔와서 캐리어정리하자마자 버스출발시간 30분전에 버스타러 갔네요. 여자 매니저님 친절히 2층 탑승장까지 데려다주셔서 너무 감사했습니다. 생일 기념 여행왔다고 하니 케이크도 챙겨주시고 너무 특별한 여행이었습니다. 이 호텔 덕분에 오사카에서 좋은 여행 마무리 했습니다. 한국사람들 강추~~~~

객실 청결최고였습니다 옷걸이넉넉하고 테이블 쇼파도있어 좋았는데 1층로비 테이블과 음료등 언제나 마시고 사용할수있도록 준비해놓았어요 주변 편의점 또는 지하상가 포장음식 먹을수있습니다 직원분들 너무 친절하시고 다음에도 또 오고싶은 숙소입니다 어디든가기좋고 가깝고 좋았어요~^^

I’m truly grateful we found Hotel 88. The service here wasn't just professional, but genuinely so kind and thoughtful. We travel often so I don’t say this lightly: this was the best service we’ve ever received at a hotel. All staff were warm and attentive, especially Travis, who helped us immensely from beginning to end. His kindness and care truly stood out. By the time we arrived, we were exhausted from weeks of travel. Our suitcase had broken, and my mom had lost her medication, which was stressful. Without being asked, the staff replaced our broken suitcase, helped us find a clinic with English & Chinese-speaking doctors, and even drove us there (we later learned the driver was the hotel owner)! What could have been overwhelming became seamless and reassuring. Their care continued at check-out, when they asked about our next destination, helped us find the best train, and drove us to the correct station. We felt genuinely cared for every step of the way, and it left a lasting impression—especially since it was my first time in Japan. The room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, and the lobby is thoughtfully designed for travelers. The location is excellent, close to trains, major sights, and great food. Hotel 88 offers incredible value, a fantastic location, and truly incredible staff. I HIGHLY recommend staying here when visiting Osaka.

Great location right by Dotonbori. The room I had was big and clean with a good layout. The elevator was fast and the common area downstairs had a nice community vibe and also had free drinks. There was a good amount of washers and dryers compared to other hotels I’ve been to in Japan. The front desk communicated well and I was checked in and out quickly - they were also helpful with helping me forward my luggage to my next hotel. Overall my favourite hotel I’ve been to in Japan and will be booking it again when I come to Osaka again!

This hotel got so many things right. For a family of 4, the room was not as spacious as previous places we've stayed at in Japan (291 sq ft vs the other places we stayed at, which were 377 sq ft, 678 sq ft, and 484 sq ft) but the room was efficiently designed, from multiple hooks on the wall, multiple hangers for clothes, a drying rack, and a separate toilet from the bathtub/shower area. There was a daily change of towels, and a daily supply of water bottles left at the door when you chose not to have your room serviced. They had a common dining area (with plates, utensils, cups), where families can eat comfortably (since there isn't a dining table in the room) AND they have free drinks (soda, water, coffee, tea). There was a pool table that provided entertainment for adults and kids. There were multiple massage chairs and 5 of them were conveniently located near the coin laundry area. We were using these chairs on a daily basis especially after long days of walking. The location was close to the train station and bus station (OCAT), and the NAMBA walk underground area, with many selections of food restaurants, bakeries, convenience stores, etc. It was also very close to the Dotonbori. We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and felt super comfortable. And at the end of our stay, the hotel brought us to the Shin-Osaka station for free! We would absolutely stay here again. And as per my kids, they liked this hotel the best out of 4 hotels we stayed at during our 3-wk Japan stay!

Could not have picked a better hotel. 2 adults and 2 children (12 & 15 yrs old). The room was spacious with 2 king beds, separate sitting area with couch and table. The staff was AMAZING and very helpful. They had umbrellas available for use if needed (which we did), they called taxis for us when needed, provided written directions to get to our next city while forwarding our luggage. The lobby has plenty of tables and chairs with complimentary drinks as well as a pool table for fun! Location was great, easy walk from bus station and walkable to many things. Would definitely stay here again.

I've visited Japan four times and this might be my favorite hotel yet. I stayed in a room in the annex and it was clean, modern, quiet, and spacious. The hotel is located in a very good location between Namba Station and Dotonbori which makes it well placed for local exploration and for getting out to the rest of the city. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. They had a very good grasp on English, which while not required definitely makes things easier. I will definitely stay here again if I'm back in Osaka at any point.

Our room layout had multiple small level changes that made no reasonable sense. The flooring was all one continuous vinyl. This created tripping and stumbling hazards any time we moved around. If you book, watch your step!

We liked everything, the location, the staff, the room, the dinning/ meeting area (the lobby) with the self service drinks provided. The size of the room was more than I expected, the bathroom was fantastic, big bath tub separate from the shower. Plenty of space for luggage and storage was more than adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for directions, the young lady walked us straight to the station. We were transferred to Osaka station on the day of check out also. We loved the stay and will surely recommend it to our friends and family.

I’m truly grateful we found Hotel 88. The service here wasn't just professional, but genuinely so kind and thoughtful. We travel often so I don’t say this lightly: this was the best service we’ve ever received at a hotel. All staff were warm and attentive, especially Travis, who helped us immensely from beginning to end. His kindness and care truly stood out. By the time we arrived, we were exhausted from weeks of travel. Our suitcase had broken, and my mom had lost her medication, which was stressful. Without being asked, the staff replaced our broken suitcase, helped us find a clinic with English & Chinese-speaking doctors, and even drove us there (we later learned the driver was the hotel owner)! What could have been overwhelming became seamless and reassuring. Their care continued at check-out, when they asked about our next destination, helped us find the best train, and drove us to the correct station. We felt genuinely cared for every step of the way, and it left a lasting impression—especially since it was my first time in Japan. The room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, and the lobby is thoughtfully designed for travelers. The location is excellent, close to trains, major sights, and great food. Hotel 88 offers incredible value, a fantastic location, and truly incredible staff. I HIGHLY recommend staying here when visiting Osaka.

We are highly recommend this hotel for others. That is not only its tidy and stylish environment, but also free drink provided in the good hygiene common room. We really grateful for the pick up service when we left with many luggages. We just worry about how to go to the station with so many luggage. They just suggest to sent us the station and also help to pick up our luggage.

This hotel is situated in an optimal area, close to Dotonburi and the subway station. Meaning you can go on your day trips around Japan very easily! The fact there are some restaurants that are 24/7 in Dotonburi means you will never go hungry! The hotel staff is amazing, we had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Travis who is a native English speaker so it made things a lot easier to navigate and get around! I will be booking this hotel again next time I'm in town!

Strongly recommend this hotel -- designed for the traveler. Extremely clean! Quirky decor. Massage chairs, eating area (with dishes, cutlery, microwave, beverages), lounge area in the lobby. Air conditioned hotel room is large with sofa, beds (with best mattresses we had in Japan), microwave, full size fridge, safe, lots of hangers & coat hooks, drying rack for laundry, air purifier, washroom separated into 3 rooms: sink, shower/tub, toilet. Room key holder is map to area. Staff are amazingly helpful! & kind! Quick to respond. When we asked directions at front desk, a staff insisted on walking us to the correct gate for our subway at Namba Station -- good thing as our just loaded Suica card didn't work & she handled it & worked with subway staff to resolve the problem. Luggage storage provided. When we checked out, staff offered to drive us to OCAT to catch the airport bus and also carried all our luggage in. HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Service was OUTSTANDING from beginning to end. The hotel even took us (family of 4) to Shin-Ōsaka Train Station for no additional charge. Free beverages (24/7), free massage chairs, and free umbrella rentals are just a few more perks that this hotel offered. If you’re planning to visit the area, this hotel is a no brainer. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

The hotel was 10 minutes walk away from Osaka Namba station, and provided shuttle service that dropped us off at Nankai station during our stay. It was also a short walk away from Dotonbori. The area itself was quiet at night.

Had a good experience at the hotel. Location is right near Dotonbori yet far enough away that it was quiet and pleasant. The hotel’s offering of drinks was a great addition and we definitely took advantage of them and the seating area to have dinners. The hotel even took us to the bus terminal and assisted in getting tickets to Kansai. Next time we are in Osaka, staying at Hotel 88 again.

Great location for walking Dotumburi! Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, and the staff were fantastic. We needed a shuttle to the airport bus, it was ready for us in the morning and they made sure we got there quickly and hassle free, without any charge which was very nice. It’s not a luxury hotel but it’s decent and location is what you want.

Super convenient as hotel is close to dotonbori. Loved all the amenities, especially the Dyson hair dryer. Highly appreciated the Dyson after other hotels only offering the average Panasonic hair dryers that take 10x the amount of time to dry hair. Staff was really helpful and the drink bar is amazing. Super convenient as hotel is close to dotonbori. Loved all the amenities, especially the Dyson hair dryer. Highly appreciated the Dyson after other hotels only offering the average Panasonic hair dryers that take 10x the amount of time to dry hair. Staff was really helpful and the drink bar is amazing. We stayed at this Hotel 88 in Osaka for 3 nights (August 9-12, 2024). The location is perfect. Just step out of the door and you are closed to everything, Namba train station, underground shopping and eating, and Osaka’s most famous tourist attraction, Dotonbori. But most importantly, the exceptional degree of help and friendlyness from the hotel staff and management is unmatchable. From the moment you check in, during the stay and the moment checking in to checking out, they are there to help. They accompanied me to the exchange office after I just asked for directions. They helped us carrying suitcases from the hotel all the way to the entrance of the train!!! Where can you find this kind of help these days? I will surely come back to this hotel. And I recommend this hotel 88 to everyone who come to visit Osaka.

Excellent hotel and staff. They are friendly, helpful, and speak good English.This is a great value for proximity to Dotonbori. Cozy rooms, well-equipped and very clean. Walking distance to many restaurants and shopping, and Namba station is a few minutes walk. Just be aware that there are adult hotels nearby, but they are discreet.

Service was EXCELLENT! I love the complimentary beverage area and tables. I prefer this over free breakfast as 7-11 and other affordable places to eat were near by. Only stayed one night but will definitely book again.

Had a good experience at the hotel. Location is right near Dotonbori yet far enough away that it was quiet and pleasant. The hotel’s offering of drinks was a great addition and we definitely took advantage of them and the seating area to have dinners. The hotel even took us to the bus terminal and assisted in getting tickets to Kansai. Next time we are in Osaka, staying at Hotel 88 again.

Small room, conveniently located close to heart of Dotonbori. No breakfast options. Walking distance to JR Namba station and it worked out surprisingly well for us because we used JR pass almost everyday to explore areas surrounding Osaka.

I loved everything about this hotel, but especially the staff! They were consistently kind and pleasant to us and always had a stocked free beverage area. They also had numerous massage chairs in the lobby for sightseeing weary guests

The front desk staff is very friendly and professional. We enjoyed our stay here, they even send us to Namba station for our airport bus to the airport. Awesome free drink machines in the lobby where you can get free juice, coffee, tea, and soup. Enjoyed the convenience of walking to transportation and food options very much.

Excellent in every aspect. Hospitality, cleanliness and support from staff are all excellent. The only limitation is that it does not have the restaurant, but it provides all the beverages, microwave, etc. BTW, it’s vicinity to all the shopping areas, restaurants makes this totally unnecessary. Go explore all the nice Japanese cuisine and let’s not forget the nearby Kuromon market which offers all the fresh seafood. Last but not least, kudos to the Japanese work ethics and hospitality, they go to great lengths to provide all the help. When I checked out the hotel, I declined the offer of the shuttle to the train station. However, one of the luggage were hard to be moved. Instead of ignoring my difficulty, one of the guy ran out and carried my luggage for me all the way to the train station. I really appreciated his effort and I felt bad that I did not jot down his name. I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff is super friendly and the amenities are unbeatable-espresso machine and drink machine in the lobby with basic microwave, utensils, etc till midnight to eat takeaway or have breakfast before heading out. Sit in a massage chair while you do laundry, send your luggage to your next destination so you don’t have to lug it on the train. Rooms were pretty spacious and I loved that the toilet was behind an seperate door, with the sink open and shower also an seperate door. It makes getting ready easier for everyone. Ask the staff anything for how to navigate the city or your adventure. The location is close toall of the action, but just on the outskirts and therefore quiet when you’re back for the night or sleeping in. Can’t recommend enough!

This hotel go beyond expectations! Manager and Staffs were super helpful and nice! From efficient checkin, early room access, communication with restaurant to book a birthday celebration, to a surprise offer free shuttle to airport (this cannot be request and depends on availability). Spacious room, comfort clean bath, 24 hours variety of nice drinks at lobby. Washer, Dryer, Message Chairs is convenient. Pleasant stay ;)
