Lovely hotel. Very modern with beautifully furnished rooms and a stunning view from the top floor bar. Only negative was to be charged a seating fee as a paying guest, when at the bar. Understandable for people off the street, but would think this would be covered by the stay

Solid hotel. The elevators and hallways aren’t climate controlled which is silly. The rooms are nice. Excellent lighting and awesome window curtain controls. Location is fantastic; right next to shimbashi station. My only complaint is the ambience in the 14th floor bar / restaurant. It feels more like a shokudou than the top floor bar of a fancy ginza hotel.

The bar/restaurant was lacking. A Japanese offer on menu would have been nice as well as better hours. The view is stunning but the service was very lacking. The hotel’s reception and staff on site at welcome were wonderful!!! So kind and helpful and we loved our room and view! They also stored our baggage securely as we had a few hours to kill between check out and our flight.

This hotel is close to many of the high end shops and restaurants in the Ginza district making it a good choice for anyone looking to experience the area. The rooms are on the small end, but are a fair size for the price point and location. The on-site bar has unusual hours making it difficult to access, unless you are a night owl. The staff are friendly, and attempted to get me into my room 30 minutes early.

They provide Byredo soaps and lotion. Cons Condition of the property: While reasonably clean for its age, the hotel shows visible wear. We noticed stains on the walls and carpet, along with some debris in less visible corners. The property is due for renovation. Room experience: We stayed 4 nights. On the first night, my skin felt itchy, which I thought might be allergies. By the third night, my husband had bites as well. We informed the front desk and requested a full bed sheet change. The staff seemed genuinely concerned, and we didn’t notice any bites the following night. However, housekeeping service afterward felt less thorough compared to the earlier days, perhaps just a coincidence, but it stood out. Surrounding area: Although marketed as Ginza, the hotel is located on the outer edge. The street leading to the property wasn’t as polished as central Ginza, and there was often a sewage-like odor near the corner by the entrance, which made arrivals a bit unpleasant. Fantastic location in the heart of Ginza. A very short walk to countless bars, restaurants and shops. At night we found all of our rooms very quiet and comfortable. We opted for superior corner twin rooms, which were worth the extra cost. They were spacious by European standards and were immaculate and had every facility you could ever want. Housekeeping standard was very high. Breakfast is served on the 14th floor and is essentially 3 choices. The quality is very high and all the staff are very kind. If you are staying there for more than a few nights it can be slightly repetitive. One thing to note is that we were provided with a “welcome free drink” voucher each to use in the upstairs bar. When we had our drink (which was very nice) the bartender asked us if we would like another drink before he closed. We all had another drink and then when the bill came we had been charged a cover charge each, despite being hotel guests. We found that quite unusual to be charged to drink at your own hotel bar.

Property was very conveniently located and staff very helpful. Really nice toiletries and big bathroom. I was surprised no gym but I presume it is not conventional for Japanese hotels to have gym onsite.

I stay 2 days here from 8/25 to 8/26, first when I come it’s surprise me because there is no smoking free room left and the service girl recommended 2 beds room instead of one bed room but it’s smoking free , need to pay more money, I agree to do it. After take look the room surprise me again for no table, no meeting area, no gym .. but the front desk lady give me another recommendation for bigger room and have desk I can work , but when open the room , no chair… I almost want to leave right away! But the hotel service attitude make me stay… so I feel very good for 2 days stay and I say thanks for hotel all people warm service! Rochard

Let’s start with positives: Nice and helpful staff Very good location Clean sheets/bed Negatives: lm I’m not sure how this hotel is a 4.5 star - literally there are no amenities - the room is small beyond imagination (you can pretty much expect to sleep) No meaningful upgrade is available even if you wanna pay extra to have a nicer/bigger room Noticeable stains on the floors and walls Shower was not as clean neither Banged up and aged furniture Cigarette burn on the chair (although the room was non smoking) Overall I stayed in 3 different hotels in my trip to Japan and this one was by far the worst one

두번째 방문이었습니다. 첫번째 방문때 서비스, 청결, 위치 등 너무 만족했었고, 가끔 리뷰에서 방에서 냄새가 난다는걸 봤었는데 이번에 저희 방이 그랬습니다. 리셉션에 말씀드려서 한번 바꿔주시긴했는데 바로 옆방으로 주셔서 똑같이 냄새가 났구요, 이게 공조시스템에서 나는 시큼한 냄새인것같아요. 이 부분만 제외하면 너무나 만족하는 호텔인데 아쉬웠습니다.

I used Celestine twice when I visited Tokyo. It is conveniently located and has good transportation. However, the condition of the room is bad, especially the dust and cleanliness. The nightstand next to the bed is full of dust and the dust on the shelves is not removed.

Good location in Ginza (but outside the trendier areas in Ginza). Small, quiet hotel. Certain lower floors and their exposures / views (e.g., East) are not ideal and can feel gloomy. Helpful staff. Limited video options in the room: TV only Japanese (even CNN International has Japanese live translation that can't be turned off). Bathroom in certain rooms feel cramped (and inadequate space around washbasin), with insufficient lighting. A/C in my initial room stopped working and I was promptly moved to a new room (luckily on a higher floor and with a slightly better bathroom layout).

This was a really nice hotel with super friendly staff. The bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful. My only complaint is the WiFi did not work in my room. I was at the end of the hall so I assume I was too far away from the router.

Very nice boutique hotel well located in Ginza. Modern, clean but very small rooms. Very attentive staff. The dining room was beautiful with a view; however, we did not dine there, because of there were other nearby dining options.

Very clean and nice sized rooms (for Tokyo), but view from my room was extremely unattractive, looking out over a grubby alley and dirty roof and windows (7th floor). Not the hotels fault, but either ask for a room at the front or stay in a hotel with better views for the price.

Bar stocked-didn’t use Staff excellent Bar-didn’t use Breakfast- too limited. Room-nice decor BUT max space only 4 one. No luggage space! No place to relax-only a desk chair and bench at foot of bed with no back.After miles of walking, needed to get in bed to put feet up! Toilet- hotel requires closed lid to flush- no push button closing. Probably due to extremely shallow bowl. Room(entire) exhaust cannot be turned off-noisy @ nite.Staff said “need to keep door shut” but door is a heavy barn type door also noisy to close. Otherwise, staff very cordial and accommodating. Beautiful decor and lighting.

Everything about this hotel was great including staff and service. Close by to shops and restaurants offering a variety for different types of tourists. The only disconnect was the breakfast…it can feel a little slow especially during the weekends where every guest is arriving at the same time which backlogs the orders with limited staffing. I hope they can change the breakfast to more of a quick buffet style where guests can get their food and be on their way versus the pre-fixed menu. From sit down ordering to getting your food takes a good 20-30 minutes.

Great service, the staff was very accommodating after I had accidentally booked a smoking room. All non-smoking rooms were booked for the night, but they went out of their way to find a room with limited smoke smell and then cleaned the smoke smell from my new room as much as possible.

This was a very nice stay. The service from the staff was exceptional and have made our experience highly memorable, they also speak good English which was so nice. The bed is a little hard is my only minor criticism. I highly recommend this hotel for its high quality food and the view within the restaurant is amazing.

Amazing experience! This is our second time staying here and this is our go to hotel whenever we have business trips in Tokyo. The staff always go above and beyond and they are super friendly and nice. The room is clean and nice. The hotel location is fantastic. We had a lot of suitcases and asked the front desk for help. The lady there called the taxi for us brought all our bags out and loaded the taxi with the driver so quickly and efficiently. I wished I had asked her name so I could tell her manager about her going above and beyond for us. It truly made our stay there so enjoyable and convenient. We will definitely stay there again.

Pros Very convenient. About a 3-minute walk to Shimbashi Station (though it’s a bit farther to Ginza Station). Bathroom amenities, except the towels, are comparable to a 5-star hotel. They provide Byredo soaps and lotion. Cons Condition of the property: While reasonably clean for its age, the hotel shows visible wear. We noticed stains on the walls and carpet, along with some debris in less visible corners. The property is due for renovation. Room experience: We stayed 4 nights. On the first night, my skin felt itchy, which I thought might be allergies. By the third night, my husband had bites as well. We informed the front desk and requested a full bed sheet change. The staff seemed genuinely concerned, and we didn’t notice any bites the following night. However, housekeeping service afterward felt less thorough compared to the earlier days, perhaps just a coincidence, but it stood out. Surrounding area: Although marketed as Ginza, the hotel is located on the outer edge. The street leading to the property wasn’t as polished as central Ginza, and there was often a sewage-like odor near the corner by the entrance, which made arrivals a bit unpleasant. The bar/restaurant was lacking. A Japanese offer on menu would have been nice as well as better hours. The view is stunning but the service was very lacking. The hotel’s reception and staff on site at welcome were wonderful!!! So kind and helpful and we loved our room and view! They also stored our baggage securely as we had a few hours to kill between check out and our flight.

Fantastic location in the heart of Ginza. A very short walk to countless bars, restaurants and shops. At night we found all of our rooms very quiet and comfortable. We opted for superior corner twin rooms, which were worth the extra cost. They were spacious by European standards and were immaculate and had every facility you could ever want. Housekeeping standard was very high. Breakfast is served on the 14th floor and is essentially 3 choices. The quality is very high and all the staff are very kind. If you are staying there for more than a few nights it can be slightly repetitive. One thing to note is that we were provided with a “welcome free drink” voucher each to use in the upstairs bar. When we had our drink (which was very nice) the bartender asked us if we would like another drink before he closed. We all had another drink and then when the bill came we had been charged a cover charge each, despite being hotel guests. We found that quite unusual to be charged to drink at your own hotel bar.
