The hotel and the room itself were fine, nothing special but clean and comfortable. However, I chose this hotel primarily for the pool and hot tub. When I went down to the pool the first night, they may have just added a large amount of chlorine, because my eyes immediately started watering when I walked into the pool room. I couldn’t stay more than a few seconds before leaving. I went to the front desk to ask about it, and the gentleman came with me back to the pool area. He said the door to the outside was supposed to be left open for better airflow and he opened it, suggesting that I return in 30 minutes. It was already late at night, so I just went to bed, deciding to come back in the morning. In the morning, I went back to the pool area. The door was open to the outside, and the chlorine smell was not as strong. I got into the hot tub, but couldn’t even stay one minute because the chemicals were so overpowering. It was impossible to enjoy it. I understand wanting to keep people safe by using chemicals in the pool and hot tub, but not to the point of endangering their health with an overdose of chemicals.
