Lotus by Hotel Inn

No airport shuttle as advertised. Front desk was closed early morning when I needed to check out and receive my $30 deposit. Room smelled overwhelmingly of cleaning product and window almost fell on me when I tried to open it to let odor out of room. Strong odor chemical odor gave me a headache. No plug for bathtub to take a bath. No plastic cups to get a drink of water. *Front desk clerk was pleasant and patient🙂 Jan. 6-8, 2023

The building is run down, things need to be fixed. An added charge of $50 was added on when checking in. And late at night, 11:39 to be exact, an employee of the hotel was talking loudly in the hallway right beside our door, I had to knock on the door to let her know to be quiet. I am not happy about this situation.

The room had a layer of dust. There were 2 sheets on the bed, but no blankets. The heaters was mediocre and it was cold all night. Walking through the room, there were sticky spots on the floor. The bathroom didn’t have a functional toilet paper holder. The shower looked questionable…totally skipped using it and showered at home. The bed was short! I’m 5’6” and only had about 6 extra inches before my feet were hanging off the end. Sharp corners of the side tables made any fun in bed a bit painful & my head still hurts. The parking lot makes the whole place look sketchy. A bunch of sad looking BBQs in a corner. Trashed travel trailers in several spots. Not much lighting out there. Staff had a personal friend hanging out at the desk for hours & we had to ask him to move so we could check in. Pretty bad lighting in the room itself.

Room was dirty, linens were in rough shape, TV didn’t work, obvious repairs done poorly, cigarette butts all over the ground outside, lobby was filled with vending machines that crowded the space, and parking lot looked neglected. Also, the front desk was not fully staffed at all times and the ambiance of the check in area felt like a “pay by the hour” kind of hotel.

Beds were fine and staff was cordial. Some towels were markedly dirty. Sheets felt clean, but comforter kind of didn’t. Shower and supplies were fine, but toilet barely flushed (with repeated use of a plunger—already supplied… so they probably knew about the issue). TVs had cable and worked, but stopped connecting to the internet about twenty minutes after we got there. Vending machines were limited but cheap-ish. We came, we slept… we paid very little. So, it was about what I expected.

This is becoming a good place to stay . Price is right . Good staff not many amenities. But good for me .

I did not stay, even though I had reserved and paid because I did not feel safe when I drove into the parking lot. There were people hanging around the front of the hotel. It looked uncapped, and the windows were open with curtains, flying out in the front entry Looked like a rent by the our hotel.

Run down facility. Save your money and sleep in your car!

The facility is dated, but the room was very nicely updated, with new furnishings and comfortable climate control. It was very clean and included two very comfortable beds and good TV options. The front desk staff was congenial and efficient. The facility is close to the highway, but that brings unavoidable noise issues as can be expected. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would be glad to visit again when in the area.

The price was great but the upkeep is lacking. It would have been good to know that there was no elevator for the second floor and the bed needed to be replaced.

Room was very dirty and furniture was old and missing knobs. Very limited wall outlets. Had to move the microwave to a place that it could be plugged in.

There was mold in the bathrooms, the bed had a metal piece protruding that scratched my leg, the floor was filthy to the point that it turned the bottom of my feet black. The door did not seal properly. There was paint on the floor. I would never stay in this hotel ever again.

Mold in the bathroom and main room, garbage in the tub drain and black long hair on the shower wall, faucet was detached from the sink bowl and would lift up when turning the water on, floor had big cracker crumbs by the beds, heater was broken, and staff didn't care to look at the room or reimburse us for the rest of our stay so we could find another hotel to stay in. MAKE SURE TO TAKE PICTURES WHEN ROOMS ARE UNFIT TO STAY IN, STAFF ARE NOT CONCERNED WITH QUALITY IN THIS HOTEL, ONLY QUANTITY AND WILL NOT DO ANYTHINGTO MAKE THINGS RIGHT OTHER THAN ROOM CHANGE.

Sand and grit on the sheets. They must not have been changed. Toilet had a greenish brown color when i opened the lid. Beds are old, TV had a black line going across it. The hotel is old and not updated.

Our floor was dirty and sticky, you could see the residue from mopping. Mold on ceiling, residue from old trim that was torn off. The stairs leading up were disgusting matted with hair and mud.

The floor was so dirty my feet were black, and there were cigarette burns on the sheets.

The room was absolutely disgusting. Stained bed sheets, burnt out lights, dirty floors. SO gross we didn't even end up sleeping in the room

It had bugs coming up in bathroom sink and behind garage can in bathroom black mold on the wall floors were dirty we did not sleep well and left the next morning

Absolutely DISGUSTING. Dirty wash cloth under the sink, mold everywhere, dirty everything. I highly sugest never coming to this establishment.

1st room had a foul odor, toilet was used, toiliet handle had blood stain, room dirty all around, heater dials faded, Front desk clerk was reluctant to get me into another room. 2nd room was supposed 2 b a clean room as the 1st one. Bathroom had fecal matter on the floor. 3rd room was ok, not clean. Proterty is owned by the same people as the Americas best value and Ramada. All next to each other. I asked if i could move 2 the America\'s best value n pay the $6 or $20 diff. Front desk said no. Water in was either too hot or too cold. Mattress was old worned out with cigarette burns on the sheets. Housekeeping came over at 10:28am. i told the lady. "Its 10:30am, why are you already knocking on my door?". She blatantly denied being 10:30am, she said it time for you to check out. Its 11am as she look at her watch and realized it was 10:30pm. I told her all the mishaps n she was defensive about everything. She wanted me to take a shower w scolding hot or cold water. I said no. She was supposed to get Maintenance, but never did. At 11:15am, i headed over to the front desk. Both Maintenance n manager were on their fones. I asked to speak w the manager. As i started explaining, he got his phone out and took a call instead without even trying to acknowledge me as he replied he was. I went over to the ramada n asked to speak to their general manager Jay. The front desk said i needed to speak to the lotus manager, not the ramada. Which i tried.

The room was very run down. The window wouldn't close or open just stayed partially open. The air conditioner unit hard to operate. The door was not on correctly so you can hear everything walking by. They were testing their alarm system from 630am to 7am!

Key didn't work the first time, tv didn't work (staff came), tile in bathroom missing, no coffee pot, turned tv on in the morning (not working again)

Awful!! Old outdated

The stay itself was very relaxing, the bed so comfy, if you like softer beds that pillow around you, but the shower was awful and shower curtain didn't keep water in shower so water got everywhere and the water didn't adjust well

Normally very consistent, but this room last night was a small disaster. Wall heater inoperable with missing parts, TV didn't work at all. And no remote, replacement was not a match. Then sink in bathroom backed up and flooded the room. Next time will be better. Thank you.

The TV's didn't work no alarm clock no phones it was pathetic.

There was no one at the service desk when we checked in or out!! The fire alarm went off for no reason and the shower was broken in our room... consequently we were unable to talk to anyone about our room price and/or deposit!!! 😠😡😠😡😠😡

The young lady at the front desk was great until I entered a complaint about the broken window in the room they have given me and they are completely booked so there is no other room available

Literally the most sketch motel i have ever stayed at next to Budget Inn. They never came to clean my room after making a big deal about needing to get it cleaned before i cold extend my stay. The front desk people were super kind tho.

The front desk staff is unfriendly and rude. Towels are not easily provided and only one is provided by the housekeeper.

The staff was super friendly & welcoming. Anything we needed, they were really quick to take care of us. I would definitely be staying, again, any time I'm in Boise area.

the staff just keeps changing so they don’t remember if you do or don’t do certain things and for a couple days they have bothered us about wanting a deposit even tho we already paid it the first day we were here. so that’s no fun and very frustrating.

I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to check me in, and then I was told - after I'd paid for a non-refundable room - that there is an additional $25 fee for my dog staying with me. The provided linens had stains, there are incompletely cleaned marks/messes on the floor, and overall the place is beyond cheap, even for the price.

First !!! Finding the place is almost impossible!!! First we used the GPS and it could not get us to the hotel. We finally stopped in the area of it at a another hotel and got directions. It was truly a bad experience . You had to go in the entrance of one hotel and then circle around back.

Close to highway

It was horrible it's full of drug addicts I had to leave because I have a new born and a disabled daughter I could have them in that environment and around those drug I'm surprised that it's even open

Cheap prices and locally convenient to shopping

For your money, I'd rather spend an extra $20 and go to one of the other nearby properties for peace of mind. Property is outdated and poorly upkept, poor plastering and tiling in the bathroom, barely enough towels, toilet paper holder was rusting. No actual safety incidents around/on the property but definitely did not FEEL safe.
