Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shawnee - Kansas City West by IHG

All was good, bed was clean and room was serviced daily. Breakfast was good with decent variety.

Breakfast was great parking was safe and easy had one staff member who gave us problems but the manager the next morning took care of our problems

Took awhile for front desk worker to come check me in. Pillowcases in room had blue stains. Washed new born clothes and dryer did not work. Had to dry clothes in industrial dryer. Did not wash second set of clothes due to dryer not working. Breakfast was okay. Did not like that coffee was only limited to breakfast.

Hotel was essentially falling apart. Walls were cracked, outlets don’t work, elevator was also down. Hotel staff were incredibly rude for the entire stay. The tornado warnings and sirens went off so we went down to the lobby. The night lady working told us we couldn’t be in the lobby because it was after 11pm. We stated that we can’t be on the 4th floor of a hotel with tornado sirens going off and she said “you can go sit by the windows”. They had a hotel full of guests standing there with no actual plan for our safety. This is not only unsafe but absolutely disgusting that a hotel full of kids does not have a weather safety plan, IN KANSAS.

Room was clean, amenities not up to oar. The pool was closed and their breakfast could use quite a bit of work. Any time we are in town we stay at the Holiday Inn. However we are thinking about staying somewhere else.
