- awesome location & views - very well made little cabin, comfortable and pretty - great front deck & chairs - couldn't figure out the Firestick TV - comfy bed & nice linens with lots of bathroom towels - a light under cupboards or over sink wb nice otherwise meal prepping in your own shadow - easy check-in, virtually contactless because the mini-mart never seemed to be open, so don't count on a convenience store - restaurant is closed too, perhaps it will open in high season but for now there's no restaurant in town - right next to Ecological Reserve, a great place to walk, but leave no trace, and to view Raleigh & maybe icebergs - shared shelter w bbqs and laundry building - wifi & cell service good - excellent value accommodations - l'anse aux Meadows 40 mins and Grenfell in St Anthony is 30 - I highly recommend this place, if you're looking for peace & beauty

The cabin was beautiful. I was with a group and we made a time if it at the BBQ Pit. Pitfalls. I was in cabin 4 and there was only a screen on one window. I may have been there at the hottest it’s ever been there LOL. But it was hot AC would of been nice. Overall I liked the cabin. The lady at the store was really nice.

Really well laid out, plenty of room for the four of us.Sea views (fog permitting!), comfortable beds. We arrived late, but it was easy to communicate with the host, who made sure we had access.There is a small general store next door for supplies, which deals with minor queries about the property. (They replaced the batteries in the remote control.) Very convenient for L'Anse aux Meadows Viking site/museum and St Anthony's.

À première vue la cabine était parfaite .. mais finalement, un des deux lit tombait en pièces et était vraiment instable, il manquait 3 moustiquaires, mais aucune climatisation donc on ouvrait les fenêtres mais étions envahi par les moustiques, le ventilateur dans la cuisine ne fonctionnait pas, la vaisselle était sale et en plus de tout cela, le chauffage de la salle de bain était continuellement en marche donc il faisait une chaleur insupportable :( J'ai mentionné cela au fils du propriétaire et a répondu ok tout simplement. Aussi, ayez preparé des repas car il n'y a plus aucun restaurant sur place et le dépanneur laisse à désirer ! La vue est magnifique et le petit village très calme. Une visite au bout de la réserve écologique à 5 minutes vaut vraiment la peine !

The cabin was really nice, clean and well maintained on the inside. Tv issue was addressed quickly but often no interernet. No restaurant or take out food in the area. Check in was efficient with very small amount of canned goods for sale. Weeds were 2 feet tall all around the cabin. No tv 2 nights in a row until I called. We thought we were getting a view of the bay but got a view of the house across the street. 1 lawn chair for 3 adults.

Tout aurait été parfait à cet endroit bucolique si ce n'avait été que les deux fenêtres situées à l'avant de la cabine ne s'ouvraient pas et à cause de cela il faisait une chaleur intense quand tout l'après midi jusqu'après le coucher du soleil. Dommage.

We loved the cabins. The views from the front deck were beautiful. The cabin were quite cute inside. The bed seemed a little bit small but we managed just fine.

No laundry detergent was provided. Long-expired pantry items (i.e. vegetable oil from 2023) Communication with the hosts was inconsistent. There were 2 Expedia chat channels (not sure why) but never received any responses from them in either. Perhaps it was a technical glitch (?) Some confusing information appeared in the directions for check-in and location info, directing us to a "Viking Lodge" instead of our Burnt Cape Cabins.

We thus booked another accommodation. The following day we did get in touch and were told the cancellation policy was a full week. Spent >$400 without even a partial refund. Owner offered to move the reservation by a day but no partial refund.

It appears we accidently booked a cabin with only one bed. Then we got lost and were late. But... The woman who greeted us at the marina, come general store, was fabulous. She rearranged our booking so that we could have two beds, helped us find eveything we needed, and treated us as though we were important (as opposed to technically challenged. The cabin was well appointed and cozy.

We had booked our stay several weeks in advance, but a few hours before we were due to arrive, we received a text saying that they had overbooked the cabins and arranged for us to have a room at their other property, The Viking Lodge. We drove there instead, but were extremely disappointed. This was a motel that has 2.5 stars, not the 4.5 star cabin we had booked. The room was dark and the bed unmade. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this was not an acceptable substitution. It wasn't even the king bed we had reserved. Since everything happened so last minute, we were forced to drive the 3.5 hours back down to Rocky Harbour for the night. This was so extremely disappointing.

We waited an hour for someone to arrive so we could check in. No big complaints about this, things happen. But once checked in, we were told that our "cabin" was actually an RV trailer. We were not uncomfortable although we did struggle with figuring out some of the strange technology inside a trailer, all new to us and no printed "hints" on basic things like how to turn on the heat. What bothered me was the misleading communication. (Compare the photo shown online to a travel trailer.) I would not return.

Be careful folks. These people are incompetent. Dishonest or both. We booked a cabin, When we got there there were none available. They offered us a room and their son's home in a in a neighborhood a few miles away. We decided to go somewhere else instead. When we tried to get our money back from hotels dot com , they told them we were no show. Luckily we had pictures to prove otherwise. If this happens to you, it could ruin your holiday.Be careful Go somewhere else.

Really well laid out, plenty of room for the four of us.Sea views (fog permitting!), comfortable beds. We arrived late, but it was easy to communicate with the host, who made sure we had access.There is a small general store next door for supplies, which deals with minor queries about the property. (They replaced the batteries in the remote control.) Very convenient for L'Anse aux Meadows Viking site/museum and St Anthony's.

We had booked a cabin, however we were told the system put us in the apartment… they knew this happens but haven’t solved it… no water view, no bbq pit… not what we paid for. Despite that the apartment was clean, modern, and well equipped. They should have been able to advise us back in January when we booked and gave us the option to look elsewhere.

Small cabin, clean and functional. However located in remote and rustic area. 25 min drive to restaurant, gas station or pub in St Anthony. Due to seasonal and regional challenges the small store and restaurant can’t staff adequately. Nice if you are seeking solitude, looking at the stars, etc.

- awesome location & views - very well made little cabin, comfortable and pretty - great front deck & chairs - couldn't figure out the Firestick TV - comfy bed & nice linens with lots of bathroom towels - a light under cupboards or over sink wb nice otherwise meal prepping in your own shadow - easy check-in, virtually contactless because the mini-mart never seemed to be open, so don't count on a convenience store - restaurant is closed too, perhaps it will open in high season but for now there's no restaurant in town - right next to Ecological Reserve, a great place to walk, but leave no trace, and to view Raleigh & maybe icebergs - shared shelter w bbqs and laundry building - wifi & cell service good - excellent value accommodations - l'anse aux Meadows 40 mins and Grenfell in St Anthony is 30 - I highly recommend this place, if you're looking for peace & beauty

The cabin was really nice, clean and well maintained on the inside. Tv issue was addressed quickly but often no interernet. No restaurant or take out food in the area. Check in was efficient with very small amount of canned goods for sale. Weeds were 2 feet tall all around the cabin. No tv 2 nights in a row until I called. We thought we were getting a view of the bay but got a view of the house across the street. 1 lawn chair for 3 adults.

The cabin is very small. No blinds or curtains in the kitchen window, which was broken. No cable or satellite TV and the internet and Wifi was very very spotty. I could not get wifi on my phone.

Everything about this place was great. The only thing we would have desired was better wifi. It was hard to connect and then kept dropping. Other than that, the host was awesome, the place was spotless, and the beds were comfortable. There were also beautiful quilts laid across the beds to add a nice touch. We would not hesitate to stay there again on our next trip to the GNP.
