Overall the property was great. However, the elevators are too narrow for the luggage carts. You have to angle them in as they don't fit just putting them straight in, especially with skis or boards. The hot tubs were not hot but they were trying to work on that.

Years past, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Keystone Lodge. We were surprised to learn upon arrival that there is NO LONGER a shuttle service to the mountain. The pool and hot tub area was UNSAFE. The long walk around the pool to the hot tub was covered in thick ice. We witnessed another guest fall on the ice as she exited the building and stepped into the icy concrete surrounding the pool. The hot tub was like warm at best. The jets did not work. The lack of basic safety and maintenance is NOT acceptable. We were disappointed, especially compared to previous positive experience.

The rooms are very nice. The staff was very friendly. They no longer offer on call shuttle service to the mountain so you do need to use the buses which run every 30 minutes. The hot tub is adequate but barely. There is only one for the whole complex and the jets were not working, there are no hooks etc for towels and it could be a little hotter.

Highlight was the pool and spa area. Perfectly heated outdoor pool. (Usually pools are too cold.) Indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Plenty of towels. Dining: Pizza place, morning cafe, and dinner restaurant very small grocery all on site. The food and service were good and reasonably priced. Kind of cool that you don’t need to leave. But there are some easy and hard hiking trails close by. The bigger village of shopping and restaurants is a mile or so east. Quick drive or you can walk, it’s connected by sidewalk trail. There are other cool features on the property. The flavored water machine was a bit. The pool table and free arcade game in the game room. Almost a perfect family stay, except one thing … There were many dogs during our summer stay. Some were off leash and large. The resort should warn guests to keep dogs leashed in common areas. There were also a few dog-on-dog conflicts.

The hotel is great, the parking not so much. You have to park across the street and to get there you have to leave the hotel, go through a tunnel under the street by taking 4 sets of steps. You unload and then move your car across the street and then do the opposite when you leave. Never mind that this time of year its 19 F outside and you have multiple bags of ski/snowboard gear.

They had so much to do on the property that was included in our stay like golfing & yoga classes. A nice pool and hot tub with inside steam and sauna rooms and 24 hr fitness facility. You can even feed the fish in the little lake.

The truth is always in the middle. The customer service at the Keystone Lodge and resort is outstanding, specifically Nini at the front desk. Over my 3 night Nini helped me several times and was in all ways a consummate customer centric representative, but certain things were beyond Nini's control. A change has been made to remove the valet service which requires you to park across the street and to access the hotels by going down several steps, walk.through a tunnel and then to climb several steps. With ski gear, luggage, etc, this is not optimal. The reason given was that it was not profitable for the lodge to which I say price is correctly! This is truly a non-positive change for customers. They cut jobs, tips for those younger employees and inconvenienced their guests who also have to manage to find luggage carts and be their own bellman which is challenging if you are in a room numbered in the 20's on any floor. These are long hallways and not ideal for having to self-manage belongings. The onsite restaurant was closed on Saturday night and they had to have Roto Router work for several hours and food was not available. The TV and phone in my room did not work so to book any services at the spa required me to make my was to that location. Several pieces of equipment in the gym were non-functional. I have stayed at the Keystone Lodge and Spa four times now but I don't believe a fifth visit will be in my future.

Parking is a nightmare. Didn't offer shuttle until we were already parked. Carpet filthy, turned bottom of feet black, had to take second shower. Nothing to eat at hotel or within miles of hotel. Not a lodge. Construction noise. Clerk was totally inefficient.

We came here for our wedding night after staying here at least twice a year from Texas. The property is not maintained, the breakfast in the deli was hard as a rock, the cups were missing from our room, the tub was not cleaned. We won’t be bringing our family here again.

I've stayed at this hotel for conferences several times in the past few years, in the late summer or fall. I find that each year, the maintenance is a little worse. This year, the hallway carpets needed a cleaning, the coffee maker in my room was broken, the fridge was loud, there were paint splatters on the mirror, the drapes were messed up and faded, and the tub didn't drain. There are no in-room microwaves, which is hard because of the limited restaurant options nearby open in the fall, and there is no AC. The parking is across the highway through an underpass, so plan for that if you stay here. For the price paid, it's just not a very nice hotel.

Nice place but looked in need of some maintenance- bathroom tiles were loose, grout was missing and it was really hot overnight. Apparently they had the heater running and the sun baked the rooms all day. Front desk said you had to call them to come turn off the heat but I didn’t think of that in the middle of the night so just opened the tiny window and suffered.

Stayed from 3/14-3/17. Room was outdated with old carpet and aged yellowed outlets. The walls in bathroom were not cleaned from regular use of the sink area. Door frames were worn and damaged. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and service was average. All together this did not feel like a 4 star hotel.

Thouroughly disappointed in my stay. Room was not clean, no AC. Loud construction right outside balcony I paid extra for. Zero amenities including no coffee. Staff was rude and not helpful. Do not stay here

We’ve been going to the Lodge for a few years now and always loved it. However, coming back after a 1.5 year break was not up to our expectations. Though the room was quiet, the bed mattresses were hard to sleep on. We didn’t sleep much because of that. The hotel is getting run down from so much use and the spa needs some updating from outside. We still enjoyed it but sleeping wasn’t great due to hard mattresses.
We’ve been going to the Lodge for a few years now and always loved it. However, coming back after a 1.5 year break was not up to our expectations. Though the room was quiet, the bed mattresses were hard to sleep on. We didn’t sleep much because of that. The hotel is getting run down from so much use and the spa needs some updating from outside. The property was amazing! Views were stunning and the staff was amazing! The only issue we had while staying was the lack of A/C in the room. While they do provide you with a fan it doesn’t do much on summer days and nights!

Nice place - dated oversell. Check-in person was great very helpful. No Ac is ridiculous, had to open 3 windows and turn in a fan we found in the closet and it finally cooled down around 3 AM - won’t stay again unless last option.

I was particular impressed how quiet this hotel is. The room is very nice. the view was all right. Parking was easy. Even though the parking is across the street, there is a tunnel to cross the road to return to the resort. It is well lid, has cameras and make it easy to get to our car. We can unload prior to parking in front of the hotel. Bathroom was nice. Bed was comfortable.

Everything was pretty nice and the lake is a fun place to hang out. They gave us a very strange room connected to the electrical closet that did not have a patio unlike the rest of the rooms.

Keystone Lodge and Spa was the perfect place to stay for our vacation. The staff was amazing! The Lodge is absolutely fantastic! So many things to do right at the resort, beautiful views, lots of choices for food. So many wonderful amenities, you never even have to leave the lodge if you don’t want to. But if you do want to it’s very close to all the things to do. Comfortable rooms, loved the lobby and all the other places tucked away to sit and enjoy the views. I would love to come back to Keystone lodge again. I’ve added a few pics. The last one is the view from my room while laying in bed. We loved it!

I was looking for a hotel I could bring my dog to, and what an awesome spot we found! The staff were incredibly kind upon check in and made everything easy for me after a long day, they even had a little goody bag for my dog. We were in a first floor room with a patio which was incredibly convenient, it opened right out to a grassy area for easy convenience with my dog with a trash can and bags available. The rooms were comfortable, it was incredibly quiet, very clean, they provided water and coffee which was really nice. The staff was incredibly helpful when I ended up wanting to spontaneously stay a second night (we came in a shoulder season so I know that's not always an option but it was so nice to have friendly staff!) I will definitely be back to stay, this has been an outstanding experience from start to finish!

We enjoyed this property and will definitely be going back with our children within the next month or two!! The staff made us feel so welcome and accommodated our every need! Kaylee and Susan up at the front desk really had made our stay so valuable. Thank you guys so much we will be seeing you soon!

The staff ran hot and cold! At check in the receptionist did not do well. This was made up for in the morning by the daytime staff! Parking is offsite and requires a short walk but includes two flights of stairs. Carrying nada is an effort! While a shuttle is available it seems you need to ask for it! The room: walked in and found garbage on the floor. Pillows were huge and uncomfortable. Bathroom was cramped. Not likely to return!

The truth is always in the middle. The customer service at the Keystone Lodge and resort is outstanding, specifically Nini at the front desk. Over my 3 night Nini helped me several times and was in all ways a consummate customer centric representative, but certain things were beyond Nini's control. A change has been made to remove the valet service which requires you to park across the street and to access the hotels by going down several steps, walk.through a tunnel and then to climb several steps. With ski gear, luggage, etc, this is not optimal. The reason given was that it was not profitable for the lodge to which I say price is correctly! This is truly a non-positive change for customers. They cut jobs, tips for those younger employees and inconvenienced their guests who also have to manage to find luggage carts and be their own bellman which is challenging if you are in a room numbered in the 20's on any floor. These are long hallways and not ideal for having to self-manage belongings. The onsite restaurant was closed on Saturday night and they had to have Roto Router work for several hours and food was not available. The TV and phone in my room did not work so to book any services at the spa required me to make my was to that location. Several pieces of equipment in the gym were non-functional. I have stayed at the Keystone Lodge and Spa four times now but I don't believe a fifth visit will be in my future.

The room was nice except it took several coffee makers to find one that worked and the phone didn’t work, though they changed handset batteries. Lots of interruptions for all this. No microwave in room was a hassle. The few restaurants around lake were staffed by limited helpful people. Nowhere Pizza was filthy inside at start of day. Tried Bistro twice but no one around to seat or serve. Extremely overpriced paddle boat experience. I’ve been enjoying this resort for 30 years but won’t go back. When trying to rectify coffee makers the front desk lady was very rude. Still, I would say housekeeping was pleasant and Chris at front desk. Super disappointing.

The location is great! Beautiful keystone lake with paddle boards and restaurants. Hiking and biking trails right there. Shuttle to River Run is very convenient. Dog friendly rooms and common areas very nice. Staff exceptional so friendly and helpful. The building and rooms need updating it’s an aged facility that needs some TLC! Although spacious and comfortable needs paint, trim and new furniture badly!

It's beautiful! It is a little inconvenient that you have to walk through a tunnel and up the stairs to get to your car...I'm from the flat state of Texas and those stairs took some getting used to :) however, I love everything else about it.

Superb hotel, very clean, lots of amenities, great staff. Location is great, right by the lake although not quite as much to do as river run. But since there is free on call shuttle, it’s easy to get around. Staff was so kind, courteous and helpful, they make the stay worthwhile on their own. Only downside was that the lakeside cafe wasn’t that great and big horn bistro is okay at best. If they could provide freshly made breakfast (even at a charge), this place would be unbeatable.

Keystone is quiet in July, especially when there is not a conference at the property. The rooms can be warm in the summer because the lodge does not have air conditioning or air circulation. The on-site restaurant was closed for breakfast because there were so few visitors. Overall, a quiet and pleasant stay.

The room was nice. Excellent views. The bad. There was no restaurants open at the facility. Which is the reason we booked for our anniversary. They accepted reservations for the bistro restaurant as advertised and when we got there it was closed. They advertised and even had a brochure for room service... no room service. We went down for breakfast in the cafe in the morning...closed. if we are going to pay top dollar for a nice hotel they should provide what they advertised on their website.

Highlight was the pool and spa area. Perfectly heated outdoor pool. (Usually pools are too cold.) Indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Plenty of towels. Dining: Pizza place, morning cafe, and dinner restaurant very small grocery all on site. The food and service were good and reasonably priced. Kind of cool that you don’t need to leave. But there are some easy and hard hiking trails close by. The bigger village of shopping and restaurants is a mile or so east. Quick drive or you can walk, it’s connected by sidewalk trail. There are other cool features on the property. The flavored water machine was a bit. The pool table and free arcade game in the game room. Almost a perfect family stay, except one thing … There were many dogs during our summer stay. Some were off leash and large. The resort should warn guests to keep dogs leashed in common areas. There were also a few dog-on-dog conflicts.

The property is located in a very beautiful area. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very limited choices for breakfast and the food was not up to standards one would expect. We expected more from a "resort" property.

Fantastic location and lovely staff. Pet friendly in that pets are allowed. The hotel itself is in major need of a remodel. PETS - it is not really convenient for dogs. All of the dog friendly rooms are on the ground floor with doors that open directly to the outside. This sounds great, but there are no screens and leaving the door open is the major way to get airflow so if you want fresh air and open the door, your dogs can easily get out. There is only one other small window that opens and it is oddly located at the ground. There are no poop bags distributed around the property, and trash cans aren’t that easy to find. There are large and heavy, blackout curtains over the large beautiful picture windows, which is great, but there are no sheers so you are either in a cave of darkness or everyone can see into your room. Bedding was pristine, and the mattress was comfortable. No air-conditioning – don’t be fooled by them telling you that you don’t need it in summertime - you do. Another thing to be aware of is that you park a bit of distance away across the street and there are multiple sets of stairs through a tunnel to get to it. It’s manageable, but not convenient. Overall, the whole hotel is in need of a refresh. Again, the location is fantastic. I would not choose to stay here again, but it’s fine overall.
