Nous avons passé une très bonne nuit au sein de la guesthouse. Les chambres et salle de bain sont moderne. Cependant, nous n’avons jamais rencontré l’hôte et nous avons du l’appeler via un téléphone présent dans le gîte afin qu’il nous donne le numéro de notre chambre. De même nous ne l’avons pas trouvé au check-out. Nous avons trouvé ça un peu étrange.

Nice place. I had room 1 so it was a bit noisy next to kitchen and front door. Beautiful area. Easy check in. Really nice kitchen for evening use. They serve breakfast as well. Mattress was a bit soft and springy

Easy check in (there isn't a front desk per-se, there's a phone in the front hallway and you just dial up the proprietor to let them know you arrived). Very clean rooms and common areas. There is an option breakfast available (for a fee), but they also have a full kitchen and allow guests to bring, store, and prepare their own food.

I don’t know if it’s the culture problem or what, I really don’t like they requested people to take off shoes to enter the house. The floor was not that clean and I didn’t feel comfortable with no shoes on my feet! Flies everywhere, in the kitchen, bathroom and my room! Yes, there’s kitchen but you can only use from 5 to 8 pm! Not breakfast time because they made to order breakfast ! No daily cleaning! Area is nice and peaceful! Also when you enter you need to call them to get your room, no on site person. if you don’t speak English or Icelandic, or other European languages, that may be a problem.

Big rooms, great shared kitchen/dining room, fast WiFi. A bit remote, 20m drive to town for restaurants and groceries. There’s a sign to call to checkin just before the kitchen.

We didn’t really have contact with any staff during our stay. We had pre paid and you called a phone number to check in. We needed more towels but did not have a ready way to contact staff. The radiator in our room did not work. We believed breakfast was included as did some other guests only to find out that was not the case. On a positive note it was clean and guests could use the kitchen if they wanted to.

Quick and easy to check in. My room was very clean and had the basic amenities. The property is beautiful, there were horses near the house which were fun to watch. Had a quiet and relaxing stay.

Tucked away from the Ring Road and crisply appointed, it served as a home away from home. While our dates missed the morning meal, the kitchen facility was splendid and spaces immaculate. Such a soothing and calming space!

Staff was very flexible regarding our check in, as we were coming in late from the Vestmann Island ferry and would miss the check in time. Bathroom and shower were very nice, however the bed was pretty uncomfortable and our backs were sore the next day. We did not have breakfast in the morning, but from what we saw, it looked to be a nice selection of foods.

A cute little guesthouse in a rural area. I was able to check in via quick phone call and check out just by leaving the key behind as I left. I stayed in room #1. My room was super tiny but adequate, and the ensuite bathroom was functional. Plenty of outlets to charge my stuff. Everything was clean. The location is so rural that I don't know why you'd stay more than one night however. Probably a good stop for your first/last night on the ring road. The worst part: if you book via Hotels . Com (where you're reading this right now!) you CANNOT use the kitchen in the morning and you're not entitled to the continental breakfast. The nearest restaurant/bakery is 30 minutes away. So don't eat I guess, or pack some granola bars or something for breakfast. If you really want that breakfast then you have to track down the actual website and book directly

This is a lovely guesthouse about 10 minutes off of the main road. This meant it was a quiet location, which was actually surrounded by farms and farm animals. It was a beautiful location! We had a small room with a private bath, but there was a shared bath across the hall that was clearly marked that it was only for two rooms to use. We spent some time in the evening chatting with other guests which was fun. We did not stay for breakfast, but it looked like a nice spread and the breakfast room was lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

C’était très bien et honnêtement, plus beau que je pensais. J’avais une chambre simple avec salle de bain privée; c’était tout-petit, mais j’y étais pour une nuit seulement et je ne m’attendais pas nécessairement à autre chose. Point qui semble formidable, la salle commune et la cuisine commune! C’était grand et tout le nécessaire semblait y être. De mon coté, je ne me suis pas fait à manger, mais tous les autres résidents y faisait leur chose. Lors de mon séjour, les gens étaient calmes et respectueux, ce qui est nécessaire car sinon on peut vite entendre les autres personnes dans la maison…

Wow! This guest house was finely appointed. Very attractive. Our room had a private bath and shower. The kitchen area was absolutely beautiful. The only downside: If you didn't order breakfast from the host, you couldn't use the kitchen for breakfast preparation. That was not a showstopper for us. There is a separate sitting room/study off of the kitchen which was perfect for dining and computer work. We were amazed at the interior design of the guest house. It was spectacular! Good vibes all around. We loved it! We also appreciated the home's proximity to the town of Hvolsvöllur. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

There was no one present at the property to ensure that the rules were adhered to. The visitors in room number 2 were exceedingly noisy during the late hours, which rendered me incapable of falling asleep. Additionally, the house phone rang multiple times, and it was unclear who was responsible for answering. The kitchen cannot be used in the AM hours because they sell you breakfast.

The owner / host was very kind. They offered make your own waffles with the breakfast if you pay for it. Google maps is wrong on giving directions. The neighbor had a horse which my daughter enjoyed petting

We didn’t really have contact with any staff during our stay. We had pre paid and you called a phone number to check in. We needed more towels but did not have a ready way to contact staff. The radiator in our room did not work. We believed breakfast was included as did some other guests only to find out that was not the case. We had a great stay, and they have been very responsive, while there was an issue with the TV dish, they did all they could to fix it and came up with an alternative solution that worked well for us.

I stayed one night here during my travels, really enjoyed it. Staff was friendly. Had the breakfast in the morning and had the waffles which was a nice option. Its was a comfortable stay, I would stay here again.

The location was nice! Close to a few towns and the ferry for the Westman Islands and the waterfalls! The rooms were clean as well as all the common areas! This was the first time at a guesthouse so wasn’t sure what to expect but it was a nice stay!

Nice place. I had room 1 so it was a bit noisy next to kitchen and front door. Beautiful area. Easy check in. Really nice kitchen for evening use. They serve breakfast as well. Mattress was a bit soft and springy

This is a lovely guesthouse about 10 minutes off of the main road. This meant it was a quiet location, which was actually surrounded by farms and farm animals. It was a beautiful location! We had a small room with a private bath, but there was a shared bath across the hall that was clearly marked that it was only for two rooms to use. We spent some time in the evening chatting with other guests which was fun. We did not stay for breakfast, but it looked like a nice spread and the breakfast room was lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

Picked the place for price level, I was the only customer that night. so obviously it was very nice and quiet. good stay for sure. only issue was eating, so you must drive some 10 km to nearest restaurant or gas station . very nice "icelandic" views!!

This property was very cute and conveniently located in between Reykjavik and Vik and close to activities like Skogafoss, myrdaljokul, thingvellir and more! Staff was extremely friendly!

Sehr geschmackvoll und liebevoll eingerichtetes Guesthouse, in dem man sich schon beim eintreten wohlfühlt. Die Zimmer sind relativ groß und gemütlich und das Gemeinschaftsbad, nur für 2 Zimmer ist sehr groß, sauber und komfortabel. Das Frühstücksbuffett war außerordentlich lecker und vielseitig. Hier kann man sich auch für längere Zeit wohl fühlen.

A cute little guesthouse in a rural area. I was able to check in via quick phone call and check out just by leaving the key behind as I left. I stayed in room #1. My room was super tiny but adequate, and the ensuite bathroom was functional. Plenty of outlets to charge my stuff. Everything was clean. The location is so rural that I don't know why you'd stay more than one night however. Probably a good stop for your first/last night on the ring road. The worst part: if you book via Hotels . Com (where you're reading this right now!) you CANNOT use the kitchen in the morning and you're not entitled to the continental breakfast. The nearest restaurant/bakery is 30 minutes away. So don't eat I guess, or pack some granola bars or something for breakfast. If you really want that breakfast then you have to track down the actual website and book directly

There was no one present at the property to ensure that the rules were adhered to. The visitors in room number 2 were exceedingly noisy during the late hours, which rendered me incapable of falling asleep. Additionally, the house phone rang multiple times, and it was unclear who was responsible for answering. The kitchen cannot be used in the AM hours because they sell you breakfast.

Wow! This guest house was finely appointed. Very attractive. Our room had a private bath and shower. The kitchen area was absolutely beautiful. The only downside: If you didn't order breakfast from the host, you couldn't use the kitchen for breakfast preparation. That was not a showstopper for us. There is a separate sitting room/study off of the kitchen which was perfect for dining and computer work. We were amazed at the interior design of the guest house. It was spectacular! Good vibes all around. We loved it! We also appreciated the home's proximity to the town of Hvolsvöllur. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

It was a lovely place to stay during our trip to the South Coast. It was a little surprising to check in over the phone in the lobby when we arrived, but the staff was very friendly and it was an easy process. Our room was perfect for our family of 3. The sofa bed was comfortable for our adult daughter and the bed was comfortable for us. Breakfast was offered at an extra charge and was very good - waffles, fruit, meat and cheeses, etc. We are glad to have stayed there.
