Really a nice place to stay.! However if you have luggage such as we had (traveling for 10 days) , there is no parking right at the hotel. You have to park 2 blocks down the street.So bringing luggage into the hotel is cumbersome. Staff, restaurant was excellent.

A very enjoyable overnight stay. Easy to locate. Ample nearby with reduced parking for guests in the Tower carpark. Welcoming, helpful receptionist who gave off good vibes, proud to work there. Very good bar food at a reasonable price, staff pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed interacting with locals whilst listening to a local group. Good bedroom overlooking the Quayside. Superb breakfast with helpful and good humoured staff. Simple checkout again lovely good natured staff. A great value for money stay. Would recommend staying here. Will use this hotel later this year.

The Hotel was like stepping back to a grander time and enjoying a taste of it. It may have been not as easy to get around with easy elevators and had lots of stairs but the beautiful stairways only added to the charm. Good location and cheap parking was a great perk as well

We had a nice comfortable room at the Granville, overlooking a courtyard. However it was a bit of a trek to get to and as far as we could see there was only one extremely small elevator to service the whole place. Two people with large bags take up the entire space; once settled we used the stairs. And there are multiple doors to go through along with little sets of stairs to go up and down. Anyone with mobility issues must request an easily accessible room. Check in and out was very easy. Staff were very nice, making recommendations we asked for. We didn't have breakfast. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely and we appreciated the live music in the bar later on. Location was perfect since we could easily walk to all the main sites we wanted to explore.

Everything is up to standard at this hotel. Courteous staff very helpful, good quality food, excellent lunch carvery. The room was big and spacious with a good size ensuite. Access is a bit complicated if you are driving and don’t know the layout of the city centre, the Sat nav can lead you around in circles. The car park is across a very busy road opposite the hotel. Would we stay again? Yes definitely.

This old hotel has been maintained exceptionally well. Very comfortable except that like most Irish establishments it doesn’t have air conditioning, a top sheet nor washcloths. Restaurant is very good, but reservations are recommended including for breakfast. There is loading space in front of the hotel and the car park is a short two minute walk. The hotel may cover this expense, so talk with the front desk about that along with instructions on how to exit the car park if the hotel is in fact covering the expense. Waterford factory tour is within walking distance as are eating establishments.

The hotel was very interesting. It was quite crowded w/multiple big tours when we visited. Parking was not as close as we thought it would be. We couldn’t get into the restaurant but were recommended a fun pub where we had a good meal and heard some wonderful live music.

Great staff, especially Fiona the Reception Manager. Great locale. Day trip to Dunsmore East was excellent. Restaurant and bar were fantastic.

The entire hotel is spotless and cosy. It has a lovely atmosphere l, love the carpets and all the artwork. The staff are all very kind and professional. We had excellent dinner in the bar and breakfast. Very convenient. Thank you very much, we will certainly be back again.

Older hotel with low water pressure and heavy bus traffic from various tour companies. No working schedule/heating system, small room. Extremely noisy outside traffic from your buses, construction, beer delivery trucks and cars all starting at 7 am. Due to location in main street, no chance for sleeping in.

The staff at the Granville were excellent however the hotel itself is somewhat outdated and desperately needs upgrading. The towels in the room were thin and tiny and the shower was very old. Our room overlooked the front of the hotel and the quay where they are doing major bridge works so it’s extremely noisy. No double glazing either. The staff and the food were very good though.

I've stayed here lots of times on return trips home to Waterford and I've never been disappointed. The staff are always so friendly. The rooms are clean and comforatable and the service is always excellent.

Everything about this hotel is lovely. Our room was well kept, spacious and attractive. The price was reasonable, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the meals are delicious and reasonably priced. Can't say enough about this hotel.

Great staff, bar, food, but there is MAJOR CONSTRUCTION across the street as they are building a bridge over the river. Heavy equipment busting up concrete starting at 7am every day. Very very very noisy - sleeping in is not an option.

Property was very nice and as described. Beds were comfortable and staff was pleasant. AC in rooms but did not really work. Windows do open but it was very loud on the street with construction. Parking is close by and at a discounted rate for hotel residents.

Regular for me now at this stage . Brilliant lady on reception . Extremely helpful and courteous . Rooms a little dated but that’s half the charm . Breakfast lovely as always …. Location obviously very good

Comfortable room, with kettle for tea & instant coffee - would be nice to have an espresso machine in all the rooms not just some. Nice little welcome card & cookies upon arrival! You can request an iron for your clothes. We had a quayside view which is great but currently a building site as they build the new bridge. Fortunately we were there over a weekend so the noise was minimal. Decent breakfast, some buffet style and some dishes made to order like the eggs & avocado blaa. Although they did try to charge us for a breakfast on a day we didn’t have it.

Check in staff rather curt, one of the breakfast staff completely ignored our request to sit by the window, our room 210 had a view of window bars, air conditioning etc, woken early by the noisy housekeeping & very loud plumbing from adjoining rooms every time their tap was turned on. Avoid the curry on the bar restaurant, ate one spoonful & tasted awful, staff completely ignored the fact that I said it tasted awful, no refund offered etc.

Central location was great. I had an awful experience with the front door security at night. They were rude to me because they did not believe my guest was not staying at the hotel. They need better training.

All the above what really stands out is the staff. Ava was very professional but still remained friendly. Then we have Max very pleasant young man who took a moment to answer our questions and explain the National sport of hurling. The true superstar was Anna who went above and beyond to help one of our friends who wasn’t feeling well.

Great staff, bar, food, but there is MAJOR CONSTRUCTION across the street as they are building a bridge over the river. Heavy equipment busting up concrete starting at 7am every day. Very very very noisy - sleeping in is not an option.

Well located and restaurant was very good for dinner and breakfast. Only complaint would be street noise. Even though window was tightly closed it sounded like it was open.

The entire hotel is spotless and cosy. It has a lovely atmosphere l, love the carpets and all the artwork. The staff are all very kind and professional. We had excellent dinner in the bar and breakfast. Very convenient. Thank you very much, we will certainly be back again.

Check in staff rather curt, one of the breakfast staff completely ignored our request to sit by the window, our room 210 had a view of window bars, air conditioning etc, woken early by the noisy housekeeping & very loud plumbing from adjoining rooms every time their tap was turned on. Avoid the curry on the bar restaurant, ate one spoonful & tasted awful, staff completely ignored the fact that I said it tasted awful, no refund offered etc.

A very enjoyable overnight stay. Easy to locate. Ample nearby with reduced parking for guests in the Tower carpark. Welcoming, helpful receptionist who gave off good vibes, proud to work there. Very good bar food at a reasonable price, staff pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed interacting with locals whilst listening to a local group. Good bedroom overlooking the Quayside. Superb breakfast with helpful and good humoured staff. Simple checkout again lovely good natured staff. A great value for money stay. Would recommend staying here. Will use this hotel later this year.

The hotel was very interesting. It was quite crowded w/multiple big tours when we visited. Parking was not as close as we thought it would be. We couldn’t get into the restaurant but were recommended a fun pub where we had a good meal and heard some wonderful live music.

This is a lovely hotel, old world but really well maintained right in the city centre. All Locals working in the hotel are really helpful and friendly. Breakfast very good. The temperatures were very high in Waterford when we visited so the room was warm in the night. Overall excellent hotel very good value happy to recommend

The Granville is a nice and central hotel but in my view there's a few things not right. One is there's no fridge in the room, I was given a very small one for my meds but I would still like a proper fridge. Second in the bathroom the toilet holder is dead center of the cistern so you need to be a contortionist to get some toilet paper. Other than that it was good for the 3 nights I stayed there
