We had a nice room overlooking the bay. Our room was lovely and not outdated. The folks working the desk were nice as well, but be aware you will be charged a “resort fee” even though most of the amenities are unavailable. the “heated pool” is not heated, and they will recommend visiting a “sister hotel” roughly 1.5 miles away. the hotel bar is currently condemned and closed to the public. the very nice fire pit was also closed. Our stay was fine, i’m just not sure what the “resort fee” was for if none of the amenities were available.

Surfside Hotel has an excellent location in Provincetown, beach access and pool are great, and close to shops and restaurants. Room was very comfortable with a nicely update bathroom and large shower. Check in and out we’re quick and efficient with helpful staff.

Great friendly service. Lighthouse cocktails in lounge with Steve were yummy! Worth the stop. Close to all the shops and pedicab service for those that don’t want to walk. Bike rentals and scooters available too. Right next to Fanizzi’s that serves delicious food. Great menu. The view is amazing! Beautiful sunrises! You can see the ferry coming and going, tides, fishing boats, and more. Pool still open and people are swimming, end of Sept! Peaceful and relaxing.

Great views, clean rooms, and the best people! We just spent our first weekend in Provincetown and this was our base of operations. A few blocks from bustling downtown with ample parking a private beach and a lovely bar to get a drink and sit out at the fire pit. A fantastic way to be near it all but still get a blissfully quiet night sleep

Great location, decent value, lovely fire pit, nice pool. It was just disappointing that because I was there in mid-june not everything was fully operational, though I was led to believe that everything would be fully open at the hotel. The bar pool and Fire pit were only open at irregular intervals with no set schedule

The unit was by the sea with a great view. We did enjoy the dogs playing in the water. My only negative was the elevator was past its prime. My wife wouldn’t use it.

Our favorite place. We never miss it. We love the beach front, the pool, the deck/patio and the fire pit. Huge free parking lot is very convenient. Walkable to all dining options but located in a quiet part of Ptown. Very dog friendly!!

We were not told of property construction going on that eliminated the front office, bar, restaurant, and easy access to pool. There are large free standing storage units in the parking lot, which I heard have been there for years. It said breakfast was available to include eggs etc and it was not. Store bought muffins were available in the makeshift ‘front office’. Rooms need total updating to include the old very loud AC units which kept us awake at night. The small beach on the property was nothing like it was pictured online. There was a lot of seaweed and loungers were thrown about. Our cleaning person was excellent. Pool area was nice. If I had known about the construction occurring, I would have booked elsewhere for the 500 per night we paid. We were never offered any discount for this big inconvenience. Will not stay again.

I thought the location was nice and made it easy to walk into town. I believe that's the only positive to staying here as it seems you're paying a hefty amount purely for location. We were in a very small room and on the first floor where people could walk right by our sliding glass door and see us unless we closed the blinds. Bathroom floor was dirty. Also felt like there was sand on the floor. We basically only went in the room to sleep as we did not want to spend any additional time inside due to the lack of space and overall cleanliness.

We rented the 2 bedroom apartment facing the ocean which was FILTHY! Upon arrival there were coffee stains on the counters, no prodducts, to include, toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, soap, etc. which were all missing from our room??? There was dog hair all over everything, sand all over the floors, and human hair on the pillow cases. The public area bathrooms had NO SOAP!!!! The continental breakfast went downhill.... I've stayed at the Surfside numerous times over a span of 2 decades and I had always enjoyed the accommodations. This time around there was a lot left to be desired. The only saving grace was that we faced the ocean which was absolutely lovely!.

The room was nicely decorated with clean comfortable bedding and a newly remodeled bathroom with a great shower and soaps, etc. There were some big clumps of dark hair on the shower wall — gross, but Happens I guess if you are cleaning in a hurry. There were a couple of flies flying around in the room when we arrived, and a dead bug on the floor. The middle set of curtains looked bad, with black spots that looked like mold. As we booked last minute, we didn’t expect their best room, but we paid $422.08 for the room, so….. We were not able to use the fire pit area as there was a private party going on, and every lounge chair at the pool was taken at 3:30 pm when we arrived. The private beach was empty but no lounge chairs had been set out, and they were stacked up high and not clean. It was nice to be able to pick up some fruit and yogurt to eat at the beach from the breakfast menu. The hotel is in a quiet location but walkable to the downtown along the lively commercial street.

So the good thing is that the stuff were very helpful and kind. The place offer cute breakfast. What is lucking is the cleanines and the attention to details in the room. The gel soap in the shower was empty, so is the conditioner. The coffee machine had only Decuf coffee (why is that?) and an old pad was still inside from previous attendees. The floor had sand (not from me) and there were stains on the bed sheet (disgusting). The washroom window was black from soot.

hotel was under construction made check in a little difficult. rooms were not as shown on site. shower doors didn't close properly. bed and pillows were so uncomfortable. room were old and not clean that good. for the monies I paid a night I expect comfort. only thing good was location. 5 min. walk to town.

The beach view is wonderful. The room was clean. Everyone was friendly. The bathroom was clean, the shower a pleasure, soaps and shampoos plentiful. We had a great time staying there.

Curtain over the Air Conditioner had a 5x5 area of black mold at the bottom of the curtain. Awful considering it was near my head. Really ought to be an elevator. Also, if folks book with Expedia, there SHOULD NOT BE A DESTINATION FEE for New Englanders. Really, come on. Already paid the room taxes, etc. Then had to pay the destination fee of $30 per night, and $4.00 fee-ridiculous. I will NEVER book through Expedia ever again.

We had the best stay at Surfside Hotel & Suites. We booked a water front view and it was beautiful! It was so nice waking up each morning to the sunrise. The room was very nice and the shower was fantastic! It was very large and the water pressure was perfect. The room was very clean and they cleaned it daily and provided fresh towels. We loved this. We also enjoyed that we were right on the beach and could easily walk down to enjoy it. The pool was also a nice ammenity and we spent a day relaxing by the pool. The hotel was also VERY dog friendly and we cannot wait to bring our pup in the future. He would absolutely LOVE it. The only improvements would be the morning breakfast (which I think was very limited due to construction but still worked out just fine) and the air conditioner was a bit noisy. The AC did look brand new but would turn on and off many times throughout the night when it "reached its temperature " but made it a bit hard to sleep. I got used to it by a few nights in but just something to be aware of. It did not ruin my stay at all. Overall, we absolutely LOVED our stay and cannot wait to go back next year. We had the best time and made so many great memories.

The people at the Surfside were really nice. For Provincetown it’s a great deal. I made my reservations very early so maybe I got a great deal because of that. I got a room that was nice but the air conditioner sounded like a threshing machine. I went down and complained about it, and they had the Maintenance come up and fix it but it was still loud so they moved me to the room next-door, which had a much quieter air conditioner. I thought the two young people who were at the front desk handled the whole thing excellently. It’s not fancy, but it has a pool and beach access and you can walk into town From where it is on the east end of Provincetown. And that is a very pretty walk overall good choice.

There are many good things to say - especially the cleanliness of the beachy rooms and modern bathrooms...BUT it is a long walk from PTown with or without luggage! Our ocean-view balcony was the opposite of private (it's a shared aisle with chairs at each room). The staff was surprisingly uninformed (late-night snack places nearby?), cost of on-site bike rentals? (QR code?), cost of taxis & pedicabs to/from town, and important to us: they REFUSED to allow us a one-hour late checkout ("we'd have to let everyone have it if we give it to you)... so we roamed P-Town in the heat with luggage waiting for our ferry back to Boston. For that reason alone, we would not come back to Surfside.

The shower was perfect but the bed was so uncomfortable and squeaky. We stayed at the poolside building last year and it was much better. The room above us kept making so much noise early in the morning and at night. Not a peaceful stay.

This was a last minute booking and many places were full. We enjoyed being able to walk into town and the rooms looked nice. We were really looking forward to the shower as it was a walk in and clean looking. However, the water was like warm for the first shower and cold for the second each morning. The noise at night was horrible if you have a room by the fire pit - noisy guests and thin walls made it feel like they were partying in the room. Hosts were nice and the breakfast sustained us for the walk to town. If you're in to partying good hotel - if you're looking for sleep after 11 try somewhere else.

This property is in a great area, a 15 minute walk to the heart of town. The room had clearly been recently renovated, so although it was far from fancy, we enjoyed it. The bathroom was especially great. The breakfast is rough (some people we met opened a breakfast sandwich and it was moldy) and don’t expect a nice lobby or bar, or an actual bartender for that matter—but for the price, we’re happy with the choice.

We were not told of property construction going on that eliminated the front office, bar, restaurant, and easy access to pool. There are large free standing storage units in the parking lot, which I heard have been there for years. It said breakfast was available to include eggs etc and it was not. Store bought muffins were available in the makeshift ‘front office’. Rooms need total updating to include the old very loud AC units which kept us awake at night. The small beach on the property was nothing like it was pictured online. There was a lot of seaweed and loungers were thrown about. Our cleaning person was excellent. Pool area was nice. If I had known about the construction occurring, I would have booked elsewhere for the 500 per night we paid. We were never offered any discount for this big inconvenience. Will not stay again.

There are many good things to say - especially the cleanliness of the beachy rooms and modern bathrooms...BUT it is a long walk from PTown with or without luggage! Surfside Hotel is lovely!! Great place to stay, super comfortable, awesome amenities, and the perfect location! I was only in town for a day and I wish I could’ve stayed longer. I want to give a special shoutout to the front desk manager, Steve, because I had an issue where Expedia confirmed my stay on their end but never actually sent my reservation through to Surfside. Steve called them, made sure to fix the problem, and then was kind enough to upgrade my room because of the inconvenience, even though it wasn’t the hotel’s fault at all!! Lovely hotel and incredible customer service. I will be back!!

Stealing/theft is the worst problem I have encountered in my travels using Hotels.com. This is the second time in 2 years I had objects stolen. My friends and I stayed at Surfside Inn and Suites in Provincetown from October 10 to October 16. We left several items behind inadvertently and advised the hotel the day we got home from our trip. We received all but the most expensive and desirable item. When we inquired again about the item, they said they found it and would send to us. As of this date, we have not received the item. Surfside Inn should be held accountable and the thief should be fired immediately!

Wes check us in and he was amazing. The place was clean and close to everything. I had the queen room that was facing the ocean and the view was of the sunrise and sunset was priceless. Worth paying the xtra money for the view.

Had a wonderful stay! Cindy, the manager, was friendly, informative, and incredibly helpful ! Her knowledge of the town helped us find great activities and enhanced our vacation…we had a room right on the water which allowed for nice walks, and access to the water and views of starlit sky! Surfside was perfect! All we had to do was park the car and after that explore Provincetown. The pier to go whale watching is only about 10 minutes walking distance and the area itself has plenty of restaurant options and great shops to check out. The entertainment during the evening hours was the best.

At Surfside, we found a convenient & affordable (relatively speaking) to the Payomet Performance Center. We enjoyed the easy walk from the hotel to restaurants and shopping on Commercial Street. Hotel is a bit tired not surprising given its popularity. Liked the fire pit and breakfast.

Great friendly service. Lighthouse cocktails in lounge with Steve were yummy! Worth the stop. Close to all the shops and pedicab service for those that don’t want to walk. Bike rentals and scooters available too. Right next to Fanizzi’s that serves delicious food. Great menu. The view is amazing! Beautiful sunrises! You can see the ferry coming and going, tides, fishing boats, and more. Pool still open and people are swimming, end of Sept! Peaceful and relaxing.

Pool area with plenty of Umbrellas and loungers and option of small beach with loungers across the street is ideal. Although they say all day coffee if you are an early riser would recommend to bring your own coffee maker .Coffee maker in room was inadequate...( should have been a Keurig at that price point) Office and coffee opens at 8am...good to know. Place was clean and room was spacious enough. Some current construction was inconveniently planned for height of season but will be well worth it in the end..
