Khelang Nakorn Hotel

Pros: --Comfy bed, efficient aircon. --Love the mysterious coldwar-era rotary phones (sadly, no dial tone). They complement the building, which is like a trip back in time. Cons: --Bathroom doors have slats, and where a closable window could exist, a screen separates the bathroom from the hallway. Conclusion: nothing to block sounds (e.g., hacking and vomiting at 7 in the morning) coming from the bathrooms of nearby rooms. --Wi-Fi was down for most of a day, seemingly because the owners didn't pay their Internet bill.

It was cheap accomodation. Very old school vibes with the property. Close to the main things in town so the location is good. A/C works well. Stayed for 3 nights.

The hotel is tucked in a bit from the main street, so was a little difficult to find, but its in easy walking distance to main streets. The wifi is a bit iffy, but got the job done. Staff was friendly, even though communication was a bit difficult with the language barrier. Fine place to stay for just the night.
