Stayed in a room with a pool outside my room. The decking is clearly not installed well with boards disjointed. Use of composite decking in hot climate is gives blistering hot boards to walk on getting in and out of the pool. Note that the pool temp is surprisingly cold despite the hundred degree afternoons. Floors are very slippery when wet in the walkway between rooms and main office. Rooms are very nice and have lots of great treats though as a side sleeper, the beds are really hard and a bit painful. Very nice breakfast and the location was good with parking for our vehicle.

Pros: the staff (Monika and Earth especially!) was amazing, breakfast was delicious and the poolside Songkran activities were fun. Pool area is small but so nice for a dip each afternoon (omg is thailand HOT) and the bar was reasonable and convenient. Room snacks and bottled water were nice touches (thanks for the cookie refills). Laundry was cheap by US standards and convenient. Used Grab to get around most days to beat the heat - also very inexpensive. Cons: the room, while spacious, was tough for a week. There wasn’t any drawer or counter storage so we had things piled everywhere. We looked like slobs I’m sure. A few extra hooks would be helpful too.

Wonderful hotel. Great location. Very attentive staff. The courtyard with the pool feels like an oasis. Great breakfast. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. They booked massages for us at the Antique massage place. Great choice.

Fabulous hotel! So quaint and beautiful. The service was impeccable. They stored our luggage during our elephant experience and the allowed us to relax by the pool until it was time to depart for our flight. We freshened up in the gym prior to our departure l. I highly recommend!

The same is true when it comes to activities. They seem to want to book trips for you, but are less happy about helping you with trips you have pre-booked. The rooms were great except the hot water in my room cycled thru extremely hot to lukewarm every 20 secs. So you always had to step out of the water every 10 secs to avoid getting burned.

The stay was amazing! We were immediately upgraded to a suite that was amazing. The facilities were well maintained, clean and up to date. The staff was so polite and helpful, when we entered our taxi to leave, we found out the Hotel had provided free taxi to the airport. Overall it was an amazing stay in a beautiful hotel!

I just spent 4 Nights at the Thai Akara Hotel. I came to Chiang Mai to recharge after 2 hard weeks in Mongolia. As a woman traveling alone, the location was great as I had lots of dining options close to the hotel at night. During the day it is in the perfect location to walk the highlights of the old town and easy pick up for tour operators. My room was really clean, the breakfast every day was yummy, and the staff was really helpful. They had activities at the hotel for guests. I was not able to participate but nice that they offered. I was nervous pulling up as there were a lot of bars in the area but when you turn down the little street the hotel is on, it is all quiet. If I go back to Chiang Mai, I would easily stay there again.

Very nice property in an excellent location in the Old City. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We were just a block away from the Sunday Night Market. Lots of bars and restaurants (both Thai and Western) are nearby. Easy walking distance from some of the better museums if you are interested in learning more about Lanna culture.

The stay was amazing! We were immediately upgraded to a suite that was amazing. The facilities were well maintained, clean and up to date. The staff was so polite and helpful, when we entered our taxi to leave, we found out the Hotel had provided free taxi to the airport. Overall it was an amazing stay in a beautiful hotel!

The hotel is centrally located, with nice, quiet rooms and a heated pool. The staff is friendly, but not as helpful as one might wish. Although always smiling, they were unable to (or maybe unwilling to) provide simple food recommendations beyond one or two restaurants...not sure if they are only allowed to suggest certain businesses. The same is true when it comes to activities. They seem to want to book trips for you, but are less happy about helping you with trips you have pre-booked. The rooms were great except the hot water in my room cycled thru extremely hot to lukewarm every 20 secs. So you always had to step out of the water every 10 secs to avoid getting burned.

Beautiful room, very friendly staff. Jedi and Earth and one other guy who got me a fan were particularly helpful and friendly. Quiet and peaceful though right in town. Great stay!

Amazing stay at Thai Akara. The service was amazing from staff, they helped book activities for us when ever we needed! On our last day we had an early flight and they even provided us with a breakfast takeaway box. The hotel itself is clean, nice and has everything you need. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a good variety of food- they make sure they cater to vegetarians. The only slight negative was only one bedside table in a double room. We would definitely come back to this hotel as it is close to all the main attractions also.

Lovely little hotel tucked away in the old city. Small and boutique this was the perfect spot to explore Chiang Mai. All of the staff were lovely and helpful and were quick to resolve an A/C issue in our room. The breakfast choice isn’t huge but with the hotel only having 20ish rooms you don’t expect a lavish banquet. Would stay again and would recommend to others

Staffs are really nice, we did not mention that was my friend's birthday, but when we went back hotel prepared a small cake for us to celebrate. They must noticed that when we checked in. Really appreciate that.

Fabulous hotel! So quaint and beautiful. The service was impeccable. They stored our luggage during our elephant experience and the allowed us to relax by the pool until it was time to depart for our flight. We freshened up in the gym prior to our departure l. I highly recommend!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. But on the very top is the staff. Monika at the restaurant was always so welcoming with us. Boe and Tobbie were both so attentive, polite and friendly. They help made our stay so very special. Thank you all.

The property was clean, quiet, and very comfortable and located in the old city of Chiang Mai making it incredibly walkable and easy to get to shops, restaurants, and tour meeting points. The hotel staff was incredibly kind and accommodating.

Great central location but down a little side street so peaceful too. Hotel is attractive with the central courtyard a nice spot for a drink. Very good breakfasts and room service comes from the nearby sister hotel (but didn't take too long when we ordered). Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very nice property in an excellent location in the Old City. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We were just a block away from the Sunday Night Market. Lots of bars and restaurants (both Thai and Western) are nearby. Easy walking distance from some of the better museums if you are interested in learning more about Lanna culture.

I just spent 4 Nights at the Thai Akara Hotel. I came to Chiang Mai to recharge after 2 hard weeks in Mongolia. As a woman traveling alone, the location was great as I had lots of dining options close to the hotel at night. During the day it is in the perfect location to walk the highlights of the old town and easy pick up for tour operators. My room was really clean, the breakfast every day was yummy, and the staff was really helpful. They had activities at the hotel for guests. I was not able to participate but nice that they offered. I was nervous pulling up as there were a lot of bars in the area but when you turn down the little street the hotel is on, it is all quiet. If I go back to Chiang Mai, I would easily stay there again.

Pros: the staff (Monika and Earth especially!) was amazing, breakfast was delicious and the poolside Songkran activities were fun. Pool area is small but so nice for a dip each afternoon (omg is thailand HOT) and the bar was reasonable and convenient. Room snacks and bottled water were nice touches (thanks for the cookie refills). Laundry was cheap by US standards and convenient. Used Grab to get around most days to beat the heat - also very inexpensive. Cons: the room, while spacious, was tough for a week. There wasn’t any drawer or counter storage so we had things piled everywhere. We looked like slobs I’m sure. A few extra hooks would be helpful too.

The staff were friendly. However, the pool was very small and seemed quite old. The breakfast also needs improvement. The showerhead in the bathtub was broken, which was disappointing. More proactive maintenance is needed. Overall, it didn’t feel like it was worth the price.

バスタブがあり、湯量が豊富でシャワーも快適に使用できました。プールは思ったより小さかったです。今回は使用しませんでした。朝食のビュッフェやや残念でしたが、ヌードルや卵料理を追加オーダーできて良かったです。

Wonderful hotel. Great location. Very attentive staff. The courtyard with the pool feels like an oasis. Great breakfast. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. They booked massages for us at the Antique massage place. Great choice.

Our family greatly enjoyed staying at Thai Akara Lanna. It’s a beautiful hotel, clean and tastefully decorated. You feel that every little detail was carefully thought through. Our room was spacious, cozy, and and it had everything we needed. The swimming pool and the shaded courtyard area was nice and relaxing after the day of exploring. Breakfast had good options. The hotel is in a convenient location, within walking distance to many beautiful temples and night markets in the Old City. The Sunday night market is a must visit!
