Just returned from an amazing break at Vila Kalcuni. This is a beautiful hotel, located in a lovely part of town, only a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal, bars, restaurants and shops. It’s positioned on a private beach with stunning views of the bay. Vila Kalcuni is a real retreat set in lovely surroundings. The pool and bar area is very new and is immaculate. In fact the entire hotel is spotless and extremely well maintained. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at ! The room was very comfortable with amazing views from the balcony. Breakfast was very good, fresh and plentiful and is served in a lovely restaurant. The manager and staff team are so friendly and welcoming, they work tirelessly and want to ensure that your stay is going well. Would fully recommend staying here and can’t wait to return.

Hochwertig ausgestattetes Hotel, sehr Hochwertige Matratzen. Lage ist toll. 2 min zu Fuß zur Fähre, 5 min zu Fuß zur Promenade. Schöner Pool, eigener Strand mit kostenlosen Liegen und Schirmen. Frühstück ist in Ordnung aber nichts besonderes. Einzig die kostenlosen Poolhandtücher sind ein 30 Jahre altes Sammelsurium an übrig gebliebenen Gästehandtüchern, da könnte man für wenig Geld etwas Aufwertung betreiben.

We planned a six day visit to 'rest' after a month of intense travel - but left after two days. Most of our disappointment was with Sarande itself - a very poorly developed resort town, with buildings on top of one another, rocky local beaches, a shocking amount of litter Everywhere, and a generally exhausted air to everyone we met there. Neither restful nor beautiful. We hightailed it back to Corfu and unfortunately had to 'eat' about $800 in hotel expenses we couldn't get reimbursed. The hotel itself is a very pretty property, with very nice rooms and surroundings. The manager on duty was excellent, addressing a couple of minor complaints immediately, and following up with us several times. The pool is beautiful. The season felt 'finished,' however, by mid-October, and even though it was beautiful weather there were no beach chairs set up, the beach bar was closed, etc. Also .... a friend booked and paid for a room there to join us, and 30 minutes later I told her we were leaving - yet she couldn't get a refund. Hotels blame Expedia but this is false - they can easily refund bookings, and they should have in this case.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was excellent and varied every day. Staff was kind and responsive; even when they didn't speak English, they were very helpful and went above and beyond to provide for us. Although the beach is small and stony, the water is clean and warm. Overall, it was a great experience.

Nice hotel, get a room facing the sea. Breakfast was only ok. Pool area is nice but not heated. We had one day of no hot water. Great location, pebbling beach with free loungers. I would stay again.

Hotel was perfect proximity to the ferry terminal. Beach access is alright. The beach beds/coverings look so used and gross. I didn’t appreciate that I had to pay for beach towels given the price of the rooms (I stayed in both the deluxe and superior; highly recommended the superior). Breakfast was ok but same things day after day. I asked the lady working in the kitchen to make me scrambled given she was just standing doing nothing and she said no. This is a not a big hotel so it’s not like there were many guests mid sept for my request to be unreasonable. That I didn’t appreciate so the hotel is not exactly going to accommodate. Heads up bring your own towels. Theirs are hard like rocks.. i recommend an upgrade on towels for the hotel owners. Overall I give 3/5 stars. It’s clean and location is convenient.

The hotel location is great, it's only few minutes walk from the port. Hotel has its own private beach and also very nice pool. It's right on the beach so there are plenty of restaurants and shops to visit. Very clean and nicely decorated.

Fint bra hotell, med sköna sängar, fina rum, och väldigt trevligt personal:) poolen är bra och ligger precis vid stranden med gratis solstolar som ingår när du bor på hotellet:) 5 min promenad till båten, 5-7min till strandpromenaden. Bra läge och kan inte säga ngt negativt direkt.

Det er ikke muligt at spise på hotellet andet end morgenmad og det er et problem. Morgenmaden er kedelig og personalet er alt andet end smilende og høflige. Man kan tilkøbe kaffe, der ikke er filterkaffe. Vi havde bestilt et utrolig lækkert værelse med badekar. Desværre var der kun lunkent vand her. Der var nespresso maskine på værelset men ingen kapsler. Da vi påpege dette, fik vi afvise at vi kunne få over o baren ved poolen og få en kop kaffe. De ville sørge for at købe kapsler til næste dag. Der var stadig ingen næste dag da det endelig lykkes at få fat i kapslerne var det ingen mælk. Vi gav op. Stranden ligger ud for hotellet. Beliggenheden er derfor rigtig god. Vi fik et meget lille håndklæde til standen. Dette burde hotellet lave om på. Ung pige i reception hjælp os med billetter til bussen til Himarë. Utrolig sødt af hende. Hun talte med chaufføren efter arbejde og reserverede pladser til os. Tusind tak for det. Hun undersøgte også hvad en taxakørsel ville koste herti. 160 euro. Godt vi sagde nej til dette, da den chauffør kun var ude på at tage mega overpris. Fra Himarë fik vi en pris på 100 euro fra det hotel vi boede på og i virkeligheden var 55 euro den rigtige pris.

Bonjour, votre hotel est tres propre, beau et bien situé. Nous avions une chambre familiale, les deux lits, des enfants n'étaient pas modernes par rapport au lit adulte. Je deplore aussi que nous n'avions pas de boulloire dans les chambres, comme nous avions pu voir dans les photos lors de la réservation. Merci.

I wish I could give a higher rating that five for staff and service. Not only is this a beautiful hotel with superb facilities, including a private beach, but it is also run by the most fantastic family for whom nothing is too much trouble. Saranda as a destination is incredibly safe and the promenade is stunning. This hotel just added to our wonderful holiday. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff all speak English, it is only a four minute walk from the ferry terminal and the beds are so comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Awesome family owned hotel. Both the owners and the staff is super friendly. Great location near the harbour - and really nice beach and pool. Good breakfast also. Clean and fresh facilities allround.

Le petit déjeuner n'est pas de bon goût. Alentour très bruit. Nous sommes venus le mois de mai et le bord de plage était en travaux. Les linges n'étaient pas propre. La piscine est sympa, pratique car proche de Sarande.

We really loved our stay here. The room was lovely and our balcony was fabulous. Gorgeous views of the sea and sarande, loved the location and the African beach bar next door.

Property was extremely modern and absolutely spotless. No tea or coffee in room. Bring your own beach towels. Breakfast could have been better. Stoney beach - beach shoes a must.

Just returned from an amazing break at Vila Kalcuni. This is a beautiful hotel, located in a lovely part of town, only a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal, bars, restaurants and shops. It’s positioned on a private beach with stunning views of the bay. Vila Kalcuni is a real retreat set in lovely surroundings. The pool and bar area is very new and is immaculate. In fact the entire hotel is spotless and extremely well maintained. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at ! The room was very comfortable with amazing views from the balcony. Breakfast was very good, fresh and plentiful and is served in a lovely restaurant. The manager and staff team are so friendly and welcoming, they work tirelessly and want to ensure that your stay is going well. Would fully recommend staying here and can’t wait to return.

Hochwertig ausgestattetes Hotel, sehr Hochwertige Matratzen. Lage ist toll. 2 min zu Fuß zur Fähre, 5 min zu Fuß zur Promenade. Schöner Pool, eigener Strand mit kostenlosen Liegen und Schirmen. Frühstück ist in Ordnung aber nichts besonderes. Einzig die kostenlosen Poolhandtücher sind ein 30 Jahre altes Sammelsurium an übrig gebliebenen Gästehandtüchern, da könnte man für wenig Geld etwas Aufwertung betreiben.

Quiet and in a great location. Easily walkable from the port and main promenade. Lots of nice restaurants within walking distance. The front desk was friendly during the day but gruff at night. Not always around either. The seaside was very nice with beach chairs. Breakfast was fine. I have a feeling there’s not many better options in saranda. My room was big and had a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea but the decor was very austere - again probably more reflective of the place than the hotel. I was traveling alone and there was no bolt on the door just the electronic key lock, so I’d suggest taking your own lock just in case.

En general una muy bueba estadía, el hotel cuenta con pocos servicios pero compensan esa falta con una muy buena atención. La havitación que nos diron era muy chica por el costo que pagamos. La ubicación es excelente.

The staff at Vila Kalcuni ( especially Jona) took great care of us and speak English well. The rooms are small but thoughtfully designed and equipped. It's walkable to the port and the waterfront.

Hotel was perfect proximity to the ferry terminal. Beach access is alright. The beach beds/coverings look so used and gross. I didn’t appreciate that I had to pay for beach towels given the price of the rooms (I stayed in both the deluxe and superior; highly recommended the superior). Breakfast was ok but same things day after day. I asked the lady working in the kitchen to make me scrambled given she was just standing doing nothing and she said no. This is a not a big hotel so it’s not like there were many guests mid sept for my request to be unreasonable. That I didn’t appreciate so the hotel is not exactly going to accommodate. Heads up bring your own towels. Theirs are hard like rocks.. i recommend an upgrade on towels for the hotel owners. Overall I give 3/5 stars. It’s clean and location is convenient.

My wife and I had a lovely time at the Villa. The property is beautiful - it faces the sea directly. Our room came with a spacious balcony and in suite bath and jacuzzi as well. The staff at the property took great care of us and accommodated my dietary preferences as well. They recommended some great restaurants to visit as well as connected us to a very reasonable tours and travels company for tours to Ksamil and Blue Eye. Cannot recommend this villa enough if you are looking for a tranquil romantic getaway within Sarande. Will visit again!

I wish I could give a higher rating that five for staff and service. Not only is this a beautiful hotel with superb facilities, including a private beach, but it is also run by the most fantastic family for whom nothing is too much trouble. Saranda as a destination is incredibly safe and the promenade is stunning. This hotel just added to our wonderful holiday. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff all speak English, it is only a four minute walk from the ferry terminal and the beds are so comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located- a short walk from great restaurants (Ladi and Black Marlin) and supermarkets like Spar. The staff were amazing at booking us taxis, recommending places to eat or anything else we needed to enjoy our stay. We really enjoyed access to their pool, sunloungers and beach front and even found that we preferred this to some of the other beaches we visited in Saranda/Ksamil! Could not recommend enough and will definitely be coming back!

Great view. Decent room. Super walkable. Not what I'd expect from a 4* hotel, but OK. The only issue was the receptionist. The only way to reach her was via email. Somehow, she made things that should be simple (finding the bus, ordered a taxi) more complicated than they should be. She was by turns unhelpful and unresponsive. Not a terrible stay, but I also would not go back there.

Fint bra hotell, med sköna sängar, fina rum, och väldigt trevligt personal:) poolen är bra och ligger precis vid stranden med gratis solstolar som ingår när du bor på hotellet:) 5 min promenad till båten, 5-7min till strandpromenaden. Bra läge och kan inte säga ngt negativt direkt.

Wonderful property!!! Great service all around. Iona at the front desk was incredibly helpful - especially when a personal issue had us extending our stay for an extra night. STRONGLY recommend this lovely hotel!

Not what we were expecting at all. Booked the sea view balcony (deluxe room), hoping to wake up to a nice vista. Instead, we were woken up by sanding, sawing, drilling and shouting. There were renovations within the hotel grounds only a few metres from our balcony, with 5-6 workers shouting and constructing on the outdoor bar area. Asked for a hotel transfer and the staff lied to Expedia about the renovations (saying it was just a little bit of painting and wasn’t inside the hotel). Staff were not friendly, breakfast was okay, but otherwise an unwelcoming atmosphere. Had to fight Expedia for a transfer too, but glad we moved. Not what we wanted, what we paid for, or what was advertised.

The rooms were nice and clean but not 5 star. 3.5 -4. The location is great and pool lovely. The main thing we disliked was a lack of friendliness, and people are not helpful. Breakfast was ok but again functional, not inspiring. Our stay was okay but not a luxury resort by any standard.

Place was really clean which was great and conveniently located near port terminal (4 minute walk) and plenty of dining options. It's also not too far from the main area where all the restaurants and bars are on the main seafront. It's a shame it was a noisy area as the annoying party boats from the main bay come close to the hotel from 10pm to midnight and it is loud!!!!! You can also hear other people slamming doors and talking loudly on the balconies which is annoying so didn't sleep well. Breakfast was very disappointing.....random mish mash and awful coffee.....you have to pay for the decent coffee which is insane. Rooms should also have water or kettle at least but only a fridge. Staff were ok, not the friendliest and Albania has a lot to learn generally in terms of hospitality and amenities compared to other countries. There was no bar or lunch options at hotel as it was closed so had to go out each day which we did anyway as did alot of day trips rather than staying at the hotel.

The hotel location is great, it's only few minutes walk from the port. Hotel has its own private beach and also very nice pool. It's right on the beach so there are plenty of restaurants and shops to visit. Very clean and nicely decorated.

Brilliant stay - exactly what we were looking for. Free private beach and swimming pool is a game changer in this area. Staff always on hand to help and support: Breakfast not my favourite personally but that was ok! Great view from the balcony and close proximity to area with lots of bars and places to eat.

Det er ikke muligt at spise på hotellet andet end morgenmad og det er et problem. Morgenmaden er kedelig og personalet er alt andet end smilende og høflige. Man kan tilkøbe kaffe, der ikke er filterkaffe. Vi havde bestilt et utrolig lækkert værelse med badekar. Desværre var der kun lunkent vand her. Der var nespresso maskine på værelset men ingen kapsler. Da vi påpege dette, fik vi afvise at vi kunne få over o baren ved poolen og få en kop kaffe. De ville sørge for at købe kapsler til næste dag. Der var stadig ingen næste dag da det endelig lykkes at få fat i kapslerne var det ingen mælk. Vi gav op. Stranden ligger ud for hotellet. Beliggenheden er derfor rigtig god. Vi fik et meget lille håndklæde til standen. Dette burde hotellet lave om på. Ung pige i reception hjælp os med billetter til bussen til Himarë. Utrolig sødt af hende. Hun talte med chaufføren efter arbejde og reserverede pladser til os. Tusind tak for det. Hun undersøgte også hvad en taxakørsel ville koste herti. 160 euro. Godt vi sagde nej til dette, da den chauffør kun var ude på at tage mega overpris. Fra Himarë fik vi en pris på 100 euro fra det hotel vi boede på og i virkeligheden var 55 euro den rigtige pris.

Had an amazing stay at Vila Kalcuni. It was so modern and everything felt brand new. Everything was super clean. The pool area is so luxurious and beautiful. Would definitely stay again. Felt very safe as two female travellers. There is even a washing line on each balcony and pegs. Never found a problem parking our car. Always sun beds available. Only negative was that the staff were not overly friendly they were quiet and kept themselves to themselves and breakfast was a little repetitive but they would cook us any type of eggs we asked for in the mornings. Would definitely stay again.
Had an amazing stay at Vila Kalcuni. It was so modern and everything felt brand new. Everything was super clean. The pool area is so luxurious and beautiful. Would definitely stay again. Just returned from an amazing break at Vila Kalcuni. This is a beautiful hotel, located in a lovely part of town, only a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal, bars, restaurants and shops. It’s positioned on a private beach with stunning views of the bay. Vila Kalcuni is a real retreat set in lovely surroundings. The pool and bar area is very new and is immaculate. In fact the entire hotel is spotless and extremely well maintained. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at ! The room was very comfortable with amazing views from the balcony. Breakfast was very good, fresh and plentiful and is served in a lovely restaurant. The manager and staff team are so friendly and welcoming, they work tirelessly and want to ensure that your stay is going well. Would fully recommend staying here and can’t wait to return.

A lovely hotel in the quieter part of Sarande (all relative!). Cleanliness excellent- great rooms and indeed views. Lovely pool area. Breakfast was very good too.

Hochwertig ausgestattetes Hotel, sehr Hochwertige Matratzen. Lage ist toll. 2 min zu Fuß zur Fähre, 5 min zu Fuß zur Promenade. Schöner Pool, eigener Strand mit kostenlosen Liegen und Schirmen. Frühstück ist in Ordnung aber nichts besonderes. Einzig die kostenlosen Poolhandtücher sind ein 30 Jahre altes Sammelsurium an übrig gebliebenen Gästehandtüchern, da könnte man für wenig Geld etwas Aufwertung betreiben.

Nice hotel, get a room facing the sea. Breakfast was only ok. Pool area is nice but not heated. We had one day of no hot water. Great location, pebbling beach with free loungers. I would stay again.

Hotel was perfect proximity to the ferry terminal. Beach access is alright. The beach beds/coverings look so used and gross. I didn’t appreciate that I had to pay for beach towels given the price of the rooms (I stayed in both the deluxe and superior; highly recommended the superior). Breakfast was ok but same things day after day. I asked the lady working in the kitchen to make me scrambled given she was just standing doing nothing and she said no. This is a not a big hotel so it’s not like there were many guests mid sept for my request to be unreasonable. That I didn’t appreciate so the hotel is not exactly going to accommodate. Heads up bring your own towels. Theirs are hard like rocks.. i recommend an upgrade on towels for the hotel owners. Overall I give 3/5 stars. It’s clean and location is convenient.

Nice little hotel by the ocean in Sarandë. Easy to find with GPS. Parking right outside the door. Walking distance to restaurants etc. Nice view from the room. Breakfast is very basic, and started 9AM during my stay. Staff has limited English skills, but seems friendly.

Kjempefint hotell. Stort og fint rom (tror vi fikk et større enn det vi hadde bestilt. Flott bassengområde og strand. Eneste som trekker ned er frokosten. Den sto ikke i stil til resten av hotellet.

Very nice place to stay with a slightly upscale vibe. However, there were strange occurrences that were somewhat annoying. Upon check in, the older man at the desk would not look up from his phone to greet us. After arriving from a long travel day, we had to use the restroom, so we went to search for it since he completely ignored our presence. My friend went and used the bathroom and came back, still no greeting. Then I went to the bathroom and came back and since he was still staring at his phone I finally asked, can you please assist us? He looked up and said he was dealing with a client. I suppose the clients that were standing right in front of him weren’t as important as the person he was texting on his phone. The other thing that made zero sense (and that was not disclosed to us when booking or when checking in) is that the pool closes at 6:00 PM every day… I booked this place specifically to have access to a pool, but it closed so early that by the time we got back from our daytime adventures we were never able to use it. Other than the check in experience and the pool restrictions, the property was beautiful and the rest of the staff was very nice, so I would recommend this to fellow travelers.

Værelset var fint og med god udsigt. Morgenmaden er ikke god og jeg vil anbefale at man købte ind i Spar 50 meter væk derfra. Lokationen er perfekt og tæt på restauranter og indkøb (Spar supermarked).

Property is new, breakfast food is low quality, you have to pay extra if you want a espresso or cappuccino. One night we didn’t have hot water in the shower. Staff said it would take 15 minutes to solve, but it took one hour.

Vidunderligt og roligt beliggende hotel. Det lå nede ad en blind vej på en tange ud i vandet, så ingen trafik kom forbi. Hotellet har både pool og strand og selvom vi var der i høj sæsonen, var der altid liggestole til os alle 4. Morgenmaden var høj kvalitet for Albanien, men var ikke luksus for en Europæer. Pyt- det var så lækkert et hotel at vi 100% vil anbefale det!
